Absolutely not. I have a single shot .22 that belonged to my Grandpa and I probably havent shot it a dozen times in 20 years. It has a permanent place in my gun case because no amount of money can buy those memories and that provenance11 points

Very good condition S&W Model 10-7 tapered barrel revolver. Unfortunately no box or docs. Just the revolver as shown. Manufactured in 1977. I picked this up a while back, shot it, cleaned it and put it up. Now looking to sell to replenish my gun fund! Slight wear at the muzzle from holstering otherwise it's perfect! Shoots great! $575 cash or $600 for those who like to negotiate! Spring Hill area or close by please. No Shipping.10 points

While I owned several classics in the 60's and 70's ( think 55 Nomad and 57 Bel Air hardtop) my first taste of a true muscle car was a 69 Road Runner. Damn I loved that car!10 points

They ran to the tomb, there was plenty of room our Savior could not be found. Just a empty space that smelled like Grace and grave cloth on the ground. Even for those who do not believe, ther is No denying the impact Jesus has made on this world. Happy Easter!10 points

I guess you could say, the problem with Common Sense Gun Laws is that the people pushing them don't have much common sense.9 points

Nothing wrong with it in my opinion. I have the 1st rifle I ever shot. But I had to purchase my grandfathers entire collection from the "estate" to get it. 100% worth it9 points

Every new story I've read so far says they kicked the door in around 6am to serve a warrant for selling guns w/out proper paperwork. That sounds exactly like what the ATF would do. Rather than arrest him when he leaves the home, pull him over on the way to work, or arrest him at work, they chose the most violent, risky, and least intelligent means to their end.9 points

It’s not difficult to believe. Lots of guys on here have some serious collections. I don’t think it far fetched that most would be in like new condition. Despite differences that some of us my have, outside of my family and military buddies, these are some of the most honest people I’ve ever met. I normally purchase new, moderately priced guns in pairs. I’ve sold and purchased several that are exactly as described. Some guns get a magazine or two through them, and some don’t. I have some expensive guns in the safe that I just wanted, and they’ve never had a magazine inside them. The most important thing I’ve learned about buying or selling on here is to be honest. A good reputation makes it easy to do both. In most cases, if the sale were local, I’d almost always throw in something (ammo or accessories) for free. Good luck with your future sales or purchases!9 points

Sounds like your issue has more to do with pricing than believing someone's weapon has/hasn't been fired. To the latter there's a lot of good people on TGO and when I deal with someone I take them at their word. If they lie then they run the risk of being outed at the point we make the deal. Same for me if im the seller. To the former you're going to have to learn to look laugh and move on.9 points

I got a Jeep gladiator in 2023. I have haven't been in the Studebaker since it got the Jeep. It's pushing a year. I took it out today to get gas and spray it off. It took more than hour because of the non English speaking individuals that want to take pictures. I got to hug some attractive Latino women. I'm convinced it's the only thing that can kill me it scares the hell out of me. I deleted 90% of what I had to say after this. Be good to you Wife and Kids. They will remember you. No one else will care8 points

Eh, I didn't see anyone get mad. We just obviously think you're wrong in this context. No offense meant of course, but you made a post to ask so... collectively, we answered. One extra cool thing about this place: If someone WAS trying to sell you used as NIB... you can report that. The community does its best to weed out dishonest folks.8 points

My boys and I are working on fixing this up. It's taken a lot longer than I'd hoped but we're getting there. My wife's granddad bought it new. While I was able to drive it across town to our house, we've had to do a lot of stuff to get it running reliably. Almost there. Trying to use it to teach them about wrenching. I'd love to put an LS in it, but just trying to get the 4.3 running well for now.7 points

Yep. I wonder how much prices in general are going to go up now due to this new hitch in the supply chain. I’m being a bit facetious, but also serious. Where do the boats with European ammo shipments land? Hope it’s not around there.7 points

On that note, there’s not a bridge structure on earth that can withstand the force of impact from a 300M/97,000 ton vessel.7 points

I turned 67 on groundhogs day. I’ve dislocated both shoulders, broke left arm twice, skin graft on left hand from a fight with a FedEx conveyor belt, bone spur on left knee, gall bladder tried to kill me and was removed, 1 ruptured disk and 1 slipped disk and heart attack requiring 2 stints. Other than these minor issues I’m in pretty good shape. BS. If I were a horse they would have shot me years ago. Hope you’re on the mend! “ Getting old ain’t for sissies. “7 points

I just picked up this Springfield Armory SOCOM 16 at my FFL I made a trade deal for it off another forum I belong to. I'm thinking of a new project just got to figure out what. I am going to get a wood stock for it, I just prefer them to the "plastic" ones. Here's one pic I took after I got it home it came with the orginal Box, web Sling all the paperwork, some manuals, and one 10rnd. mag and three 20rnd mags. I'll post some more once I figure out what I want to do.6 points

Ok. I probably should have taken better (more) photos. This is the rifle I got when my buddy Bjon got the one above. It’s also a Winchester 1894 but from 1907 chambered in 38-55. I cleaned up and re-did the oil finish on the wood. This was the dirtiest rifle I have picked up yet. It made me wonder if it had been cleaned in the last 50+ years. I had to get oil in it just to get it to cycle. I did a complete tear down, cleaning and such. The rust was removed from the metal parts for the most part and then cold blued. I like them to still have some of their character, not to look like a Turnbill gun. I picked up an old Lyman peep sight for this one.6 points

These days we often see the bad in customer support for any given company. I thought Id share a quick GOOD experience I had. I made a trade for an older AR15 build and it has a TROY Industries free float handguard. It uses a spring loaded pin and I lost the spring. I made contact with TROY and here is some of the email replies: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So they are sending me a new part at no cost for a 2nd hand handguard thats years old.6 points

I am one who does not have a lot of trouble believing it. I just counted and I have 34 guns right now. About 2 thirds of them I bought new. I have shot 3 of them. I just like collecting them. I used to be a class 3 dealer back in the 80's and had dozens of machine guns. I played with so many full autos that I am no longer much interested in firing an ordinary firearm. On top of that there is no convenient place to shoot around here. Your situation may be different.6 points
