  1. I've heard rumors and seen a couple of clips. Unsure if it'll be any good, but I'll probably see it. If you're interested in that sort of thing, I highly recommend Kurt Schlichter's Kelly Turnbull/People's Republic series of novels. Great stories that could actually happen.

  2. Hello! I liquidating my gun collection after many many years of gathering up cool things. I am located in Nashville (TN). Let me know if you are interested. I also have loads of ammo that I am selling. I will post at 75 to 80% GB prices (that is how I priced these) and as they wait to sell, I will drop the prices a few times until they are gone. So check back. I am not positive as to what things are worth locally, but I set everything as better than GB. Also, I will work with you if you buy more. 5. I think that's kind of like saying Jack Daniel's is the standard for American whisky. They have presence from sheer volume of sales, but aren't necessarily the best of the bunch.

  11. pop, I had a heart attack the 1st week of Mar. As the country song said, I'm doing pretty good for the shape I'm in. I start cardiac rehab next week. We'll see how it goes. Glad you're recovering well. Hang in there.

  12. As near as I can tell, its currently in theaters. No date for streaming as of yet or which service it'll be on. I just don't think I wanna spend money and sit in a theater to see this right now. I'm gonna wait until I see some real reviews from regular folks. I'll still probably wait for it to be on streaming where I can watch it at home. If you go see it, be sure to tell us what you think.

  13. I am a new member, been shooting since I was old enough to hold a rifle. Used to love quail and dove hunting, I also have hunted deer and been elk hunting in Colorado. Recently I have gotten into pistol and AR plinking. I am a member at The Outpost Armory and currently taking classes to better my skills.

I just ordered it from Benchmade Knives: 2730-03 Mini Auto Adamas - AXIS Auto - Marbled Carbon Fiber - CPM-MagnaCut (knivesshipfree.com) In case you all are not aware, these fine folks are now located here in Tennessee. I will post pictures and give you all my thoughts when I get home.

  17. LEFT HANDED Savage 110L in .243, ~1959-1962, $800 OBO Ammo is included as I do not have or plan to have any other .243s. The rifle has never given me any issues and has taken a buck. It sits in the safe so I'm looking to move it on to someone who might use it and flip the cash into something else: CZ457 or a 80X. In Greeneville, willing to travel a little to meet. Ammo: 100x Norma Whitetail 100gr 44x Winchester Soft Point 80 + 100 gr mix 15x Hornady V-Max 58gr Also includes a laser boresight.

  20. As for this type of thing actually happening, I don't see it sparked by politics. I've heard interviews saying movie is not political but I doubt bias hasn't crept in and this is just another tool to divide us. The division is so intense in the US among so many diverse groups plus a large chunk that are unaware and proud of it. How could anybody get enough people together to form multi-state alliances willing to fight a Civil War? Laughable! When this Country goes under it will be a slow bleed not a Civil War I'm guessing. I'll wait when the movie hits the small screen but I do like my dystopian books and movies.

  21. Without any type of spoiler, I've heard it's not particularly great. I hear that there's no backstory for the war. The factions are unbelievable and that the main characters have no backstory. So it's just a movie showing the horrors of civil war. I also heard that the movie doesn't have any real world politics in it, which is a positive at least. So there's a war we don't understand with groups that don't make sense told from the perspective of people we know nothing about. Could work? Maybe? I dunno. It'll be on Netflix or Prime in a month regardless. "Better on VHS"

  23. Yes, that's *mainly* who they're targeting, but it's the ATF, so if they can write a regulation that's wide enough to catch up more people in addition to the ones who are actually targeted, that's fine with them -- it improves their arrest stats, helps support the case that it was a widespread problem, and (like all poorly explained gun restrictions) has a chilling effect on honest gun owners who might decide to spend their money on something else instead of risking having their dogs and family members shot in a paramilitary raid.

  26. 20 yards with 9 pellet Federal flight control. I can live with that. I'm trying to get several hundred 8 pellet flight control now. A bunch of PDs are traded 9 for 8 now so it's been a bit of a cluster F.

  28. Been though that twice Pop-pop and it's been by the grace of Jesus that I have made it this long. I have aged a lot faster since the opened me up the second time but I expected it as I'm 75 and drove my body hard for 35+ years on my life. I live alone except my old hound but the EMT's all know that there is no heroics during transport to the hospital. I trust Jesus with all my heart to do what is right.

  31. I don't care for this. Not for the "gun" reason, but because it puts these sellers at an unfair advantage over licensed dealers. These folks don't have to purchase an FFL, business license, mess with all the bound book keeping, or charge sales tax.

  32. I don’t personally go to gun shows. It’s been at least 12-15 years since I have been. Now from what I hear, it’s mostly guys who are charging moon bucks for dirt road stuff, or ATF agents. Gun Shows in general have lost their “luster” or appeal for me. The issue I have with the latest infringement is the wide variable interpretation of “earning a profit”. I’ve had friends with ads on other sites that have received emails from ATF explaining their definition change. Basically a threatening email. This will be the new normal. It will only get worse with another FJB term. Still worse but at a slower rate if Trump gets another term. I for one am sick of old rich people making decisions that affect normal working people.

  34. Just an FYI: As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I primarily shoot 9mm and .38 spl. and increasingly .32 H&R Mag (and .32 S&W). I don't shoot a lot of 5.56 these days. I crunched a few numbers this morning as I prepare to go downstairs and load up some more .38 spl for tomorrow. These numbers are based on current pricing of bullets, primers, and powder. My components are from way before current pricing, but I take into account I'll have to replace them eventually. Currently: For .38 special mid-range target load: (750 fps on my chrono from a K-Frame) Hoosier 158 gr Hi-Tek coated 158 gr .38 spl = $104.00/1000 shipped Winchester 231 powder (7000 grs/pound) 1 pound = $35.00 (obviously there's usually tax. If you order it then HazMat and Shipping. Bulk or combined costs with a friend help mitigate the cost). It's sometimes challenging these days. Primers: Seeing Small Pistol Primers somewhere around $75.00/1000. Again, it depends on whether or not you purchase local or have to endure HazMat, shipping and taxes. This particular load would cost me: $0.198/rd, so right at 20 cents a round. Ammoseek shows me either stuff I've never heard of, or remanufactured at $0.38/rd (plus Tax and Shipping usually...). Crunching the numbers for 9mm, even assuming you are paying $50.00/lb for powder. 9mm still runs around $0.20/rd. (I have never paid $50.00/lb for powder, but this world is getting crazy...). But most importantly I tailor my handloads to my wants, needs, and any idiosyncrasies of a particular gun. Please take into account I already own, and have owned all of my reloading equipment for a very long time. $0.22/rd 9mm or less allows me to use my already owned powder and primers for much more costly rounds like .38 spl, .357 mag, and the aforementioned .32 family. (BTW there were some decent deals this past Black Friday on 9mm range fodder). I enjoy handloading. It therapeutic for me! Allows me to get into my "Zen-State" man-cave focus. Then I get to go shoot it. How can things get any better? Just some thoughts. Gonna go handload some. HAVE A GOOD DAY FOLKS.

  35. I think reloading is always worth it. Cost is only one factor.

  36. I reload because I enjoy the process. Sometimes it feels like I shoot just to get empty cases so I can load em up again! But to each his own.
