  1. Woke up Monday morning with my truck sitting on my chest. Woke my wife and told her I think I am having an attack. She called 911 took the ambulance 20 minutes to get to my house. Ten minutes later I was on the road to Ascencion St Thomas in Murfreesboro. There about 20 minutes and was taken to Cath lab. Had a blood clot in one of my bypass arteries. Now heart muscle damage and am in heart failure with only 30% heart output (should be 50 to 75 % at my age) but finally home. Not feeling real bad but am somewhat weak. Will need serious rehab and rest. Heart muscle damage and in danger of several bad outcomes in the short time future. I got to get the weight off and watch diet plus take 3 different heart related new meds now and pray for the best. Consensus is, most probably caused by my bout with Coved about 2 months ago. Seems a lot of people who get the new strain of Coved are having blood clots shortly afterwards. Looking to an uphill climb at 76 now. My wife and girls are very glad I am home. Life is short guys. Hope you all are prepared for your demise, I am. I am a child of Jesus the Christ and live for HIM. I am sure my attack took place 5 minutes down the road to the Hospital and could tell the Paramedic was excited with trying to show it. Kept running heart strips all the way to the Hospital. Both my arms were tingling and almost useless, and I began sweeting profusely. I was not scared and was at total, peace, after my prayer, with whatever happened. Only way to be that way is to be a child of Jesus, guys. I did feel terrible concerning and sorrow for my wife because if worse came to worse she would be left alone. Think about eternity guys, please.

  4. While I owned several classics in the 60's and 70's ( think 55 Nomad and 57 Bel Air hardtop) my first taste of a true muscle car was a 69 Road Runner. Damn I loved that car!

  5. Well, since communists deal in instilling fear, I believe everyday people will cease setting up at gun shows. Attendance will be down & many promotors will go out of business. I believe many will drop prices & liquidate their collections. I believe there will be arrests both at homes & gun shows to bolster their agenda, make examples. These tactics have been used in various states, especially the blue states. I hope I'm wrong & these unconstitutional "laws" are overturned. Some here have labeled President Trump a dictator, yeah right, there's a dictator & his minions in office now seeing to the destruction of our country.

  8. My boys and I are working on fixing this up. It's taken a lot longer than I'd hoped but we're getting there. My wife's granddad bought it new. While I was able to drive it across town to our house, we've had to do a lot of stuff to get it running reliably. Almost there. Trying to use it to teach them about wrenching. I'd love to put an LS in it, but just trying to get the 4.3 running well for now.

  10. Up is a beautiful 686-4. An older model with the case hardened hammer/trigger. Newer models do not have this value add. The action is clean and crisp. This 686-4 had the trigger action tuned by Actions by “T” in Sugarland TX. Look him up! He has been rated one of the top pistol-smiths in the USA and specializes in revolver lock work. Timing checked and action tuned. Asking- $900.00 OBO. No trades at this time. I do not have the original grips. Buyer must show TN Carry Permit. Prefer established TGOer. FTF IN Fairview- Buyer must be legally able to own/buy firearms.

  11. It’s not “arming teachers.” It’s ALLOWING teachers to arm themselves if they choose. If they don’t like it, then don’t participate, but why not let others who are willing? I don’t think anybody believes it is THE solution, but a fire may not do as much damage if someone with a hose is there when it starts.

  16. I think a lot is going to depend on what happens in November. If Joe gets another term, gun sales are going to skyrocket as will prices. If you want one, now may be the best time to do so. But if you buy also consider going ahead and buying extra mags, ammo and accessories as they will also be going up if Joe wins. 7.62X51 - turning cover into concealment for almost 70 years.

  18. An "I was there" moment. This is the most angry, formidable looking muscle car ever. If you've never had this roll up behind you on a two lane you can't understand. Had a customer when I delivered newspapers as a kid who had a Plum Crazy with white top, stripes, interior, 440 4 speed Coronet R/T and been in lust ever since. Same year Super Bee is near tie for second place on my wish list.

  19. Smith & Wesson 29-5 4" 44 Magnum Aside from the turn line on the cylinder it's in great shape despite being handled a fair amount over the years. I'd guess I've put a couple hundred rounds through it, nothing crazy. The grips are in good shape but there is some cosmetic wear near the bottom on both sides. Never had any problems with it - just decided to pair things down a little. It'll come with this here Galco OWB holster. Don't have the original box/papers - just the gun & holster. My wife would certainly prefer that I sell it but I might be open to swapping for hell, I don't know, something. 9mm, 223/556, full sized AKs, etc I'm in Manchester but travel through Murfreesboro and Nashville several times per week. Be happy to meet anywhere there or in between. $1000 Thanks, fellas.

  20. I don't care for this. Not for the "gun" reason, but because it puts these sellers at an unfair advantage over licensed dealers. These folks don't have to purchase an FFL, business license, mess with all the bound book keeping, or charge sales tax.

  25. I have taken the position over the past few years that if I think I might want it or need it in the future, I get it as soon as possible without paying a premium due to demand. I figure, if I end up not wanting it or needing it, I can sell it (though this may get more difficult due to the increasing BS). Prices probably won't go down in the future especially with inflation and even if I take a little hit selling it, it was worth it. I believe we should all take this position with things like parts, magazines and other accessories as well. People often forget about what it takes to keep something running after they purchase it.

  28. I’m a huge fan of hockey tape. It’s cheap, and it’s effective. Basically all my guns get wrapped in it now if they’re gonna get used off of an indoor range. Since we are talking about shotguns here, I’ll share a pic of my 1301.

  31. Hello! I liquidating my gun collection after many many years of gathering up cool things. I am located in Nashville (TN). Let me know if you are interested. I also have loads of ammo that I am selling. I will post at 75 to 80% GB prices (that is how I priced these) and as they wait to sell, I will drop the prices a few times until they are gone. So check back. I am not positive as to what things are worth locally, but I set everything as better than GB. Also, I will work with you if you buy more. 32. I don’t personally go to gun shows. It’s been at least 12-15 years since I have been. Now from what I hear, it’s mostly guys who are charging moon bucks for dirt road stuff, or ATF agents. Gun Shows in general have lost their “luster” or appeal for me. The issue I have with the latest infringement is the wide variable interpretation of “earning a profit”. I’ve had friends with ads on other sites that have received emails from ATF explaining their definition change. Basically a threatening email. This will be the new normal. It will only get worse with another FJB term. Still worse but at a slower rate if Trump gets another term. I for one am sick of old rich people making decisions that affect normal working people.

  33. thought I'd kick this out. I read the funny stuff every day. A few members had commented on a Muscle car pic posted. I was 7 years old when Hot Wheels came out, I had some of the originals until my second divorce. I grew up with muscle cars, hot rods and choppers. (and long hair, bell bottoms, and all the other stuff) I am a machine nut. I love mechanical stuff for whatever reason. I have seen all of these cars new, ridden in a lot, and even drove a few. I remember all of the styles we have gone through. Read Hot Rod and Car Craft religously in my younger days. Looking back at some of the stuff makes me cringe but it was whatever was in style at the time. One post I read today was about keeping these old rides original specifically tire/wheel combos. And if that is what you like great! I was a hot rodder, nothing stayed factory original if I owned it and 99% of the old cars were modified. On the specific of tire/wheel combos, remember, a LOT of the muscle cars were ordered with the cheapest OE stuff because they were getting aftermarket "mags" on the day after delivery. There's a segment now that is rebuilding these as "day two" street cars with air shocks and tires sticking out 4 inces from the quarter panels. I remember this and don't like it. We have the skills and tech to keep the ride height down and narrow the rear so that it all fits. And this actually WORKS better so if you are going to modify, why not do it the way it SHOULD have been originally? That's just my opinion of course. Anyway, I could never buy an original survivor or restored muscle car because I'd modify it and drive the hell out of it. That's what they were built for. Same reasoning for my not buying unfired collectable firearms that I would love to own, I'd shoot it. So after all the rambling, what is your favorite muscle car and why? Would you restore original or modify it? Yes, the 1970 Coronet R/T is the top of my list without question or Challenger. 70 Challenger is in the top 5 as is 70 Cyclone. And all MUST have a big block.

  36. I remember in the late '60s we had some downtime while conducting carrier sea trials aboard the USS Ranger before heading overseas for strike ops against the Viet commies. The Marine detachment had a few Winchester pump shotguns and a good supply of ammo and clay targets, so the CO got the idea to entertain a group of off-duty sailors with some trap shooting. The captain loaded up a hand thrower and took a position on one of the flight deck elevators while the Marines handed out the guns. I was one of the lucky few who had the rare privilege of ordering the captain to "Pull", then blasted three out of three pigeons to bits. I didn't get a sharpshooter's medal, but I did earn admiring looks from the CO and a couple of jarheads that day.

  37. Sad to say, but justice will be paid now. If he did kill them, no slick lawyer or jury will get him off now. I pray he didn't, but that is OJ's ball game. Once you go where he is, and the Bible says he is in the realm of departed spirits (Luke 16:19-31), no changing things there. It will be what it will be. Wouldn't want to wish hell on anyone, and I am by no means inferring OJ was guilty. God knows. I prayed God will have mercy upon OJ's soul. Edited to add; when we arrive at the point OJ just passed, eternity is ahead. I am trying to go to the good place, torment is not my goal. Bible says "Abrahams's bosom, (Jewish term "A place of great comfort") or torment. My goal is for A's Bosom. I have accomplished the things to put myself into a position to be able to take advantage of God's saving grace through faith in His Son, Jesus the Christ. Hope you have also. We all will only answer for ourselves.

  38. It should be noted that in the actual text of the bill that all training costs for the 40 hours of yearly, mandated, training "shall be at the expense of the person seeking authorization." As week long courses of this type can easily cost in excess of $1000, this is a significant financial hurdle for otherwise willing applicants. It is one I, personally, am willing to bear, but I feel many will balk at it. I emailed my Representative about creating a grant or scholarship to help offset some of these costs today, and I would appreciate it if you do the same. Barring that option, I feel that it might be necessary to create a non profit organization to help out.
