  1. If you are absolutely not going to use it I'd take it and leave it on the boat. That would be one thing I'd not have to take back and forth. BUT I would advise don't do it unless you have another plan in place. I'd rather you be healthy than the convivence it would give me. After I got mine I felt so much better and had so much more energy I can't imagine not using one.
  2. Agreed. It changed my life. I left home without mine once. Never again.
  3. I can relate to that.
  4. If you like NASCAR history check out "Scene Vault Podcast". I ran across this while I've been down after knee surgery and got hooked. I skipped around some at first and then went to the first and started going all the way through. You'll hear a lot of stories from behind the scenes that you never heard before from drivers, crew members, and owners.
  5. I'm eight weeks into this and it was rough for a while but I'm getting there. Nothing happens fast but the little victories along the way keeps me going. I'm walking without a cane most of the time now and still going to therapy. I think I over did it today. It's swelled quite a bit tonight but I had to get out and enjoy this weather. I canceled getting the other one done until next winter. I couldn't go through it again so soon after the first. I do think it is going to be worth it when it's all said and done.
  6. If you like to read, read the books. There are quite a few of them.
  7. Walking to the store as a kid to get lawnmower gas with 50 cents in my pocket. I'd get a gallon of gas, a Pepsi, and a candy bar and come home with 10 cents in change.
  8. The number one cause is the track bar BUT it could be anything including the tires.
  9. This is true. As long as everything else is good I don't think you would even need one on it.
  10. As did Western Auto, K Mart, and any local hardware store.
  11. I never saw one of those. I was still using a antenna for the three channels we got and going outside to turn the antenna when changing channels.

  13. I have a Baofeng hand held and a mobile (can't remember the brand) that I use rock crawling. Everyone has moved from CB,s to these. I have several things programed in them but we use the FRS channels. I think FRS is legal on the hand held, maybe not on the mobile because of the higher power. About all I know about them is how to turn them on and talk. My son programs them for most everyone in our group. I carry the manual in my Jeep with me incase I need to try to do something I don't about. One time I wiped my hand held programming clean trying to adjust the squelch. I wish I knew more.
  14. I hope it all goes well for you. I've learned with my knee problems that the older we get, the harder the recovery. Gotta be tough to get old.

Some people are self centered enough to think that if only one road was to be cleared it should be theirs. It doesn't work like that.

It's funny how I'm running into more things like that. Many many things are not as easy as they used to be.

Normally I would had the tractor on the drive clearing it today while the sun was shinning but the only thing I'm going out for is physical therapy which got canceled today. My son came Sunday and put hay out, my wife is taking the dog out (she hates it), and I'm hibernating. That's about all I'm good for right now. We got 5 1/2 inches.
  18. I've had it twice and I don't usually get sick but it didn't hang around too long. My wife is a regional manager for a home health company and visits several offices. She said all of her offices are having staffing problems because of so many out sick.

I have physical therapy on my knee tomorrow morning and of course I can't drive yet. My wife was already dreading it yesterday so I don't know how that's going to go. If I could drive I'd just go.

So, you saw my wife. When she got home she said "Look what I got" and pulled out a heater. We already have as backup, two heaters, gas fireplace. and generator. I don't think she planning to get cold if we loose our electricity or HVAC units.
  21. I don't do it but I don't think I've ever heard it shouldn't be done. It's what what feels right to me.
  22. I really wanted to believe that guy but never trusted him enough to fill out his survey. He did talk a good game.
