This is my first attempt at 223 , 57grn sized to .225 I have had great luck with socom .458 out to 200 yds with out a gas check so hoping for the same luck with .223

Trying a Lee mold , that I deleted the gas check by using a .225 drill bit , powder coated first try at 50 yds optic died but with a dead red dot I had a 3” group . i have replaced optic now just have to get to the range

On 9 mm I am at .09 a round but then I have a lifetime lead supply and cast my own just started on .223 bought the mold and guesstimating I will be about .12 a round

I have been casting for 45 ish years , started out on 38 s & 45s for my dad in a small Lee pot with a dipper , now I have a 20 lb bottom pour Lee and so many molds I can’t count them , rcbs , Lyman , Lee ,noe my favorite are my brass molds from mp, I make 5-6k of 9 mm a year for uspsa matches and powder coat everything from 9mm to 308

Very nice , I regret letting my 52D go that I shot in a college league , but I had kids to feed
