1. They'll have to unscrew the flash hider AND dremel off the bayonet lug.   Sigh.....
2. David, I know this is a stretch, but would you happen to have any 55 .224 bullets left?
3. Couple of places that migh be able to help establish a fair value:   Steve Barnett's Fine Guns in West Point, MS Dixie Gun Works in Union City, TN   That's a good looking drilling!
4. Well, if you "want one of the iconic steel frame" pistols then the Beretta is out as it has an aluminum frame.  :)
5. When I went to look at this, another opionion piece on the page was entitled "One Way to Defeat the NRA".   If you get XM tune into "Left" once in a while.  Not only will their opinions make you sick to you stomach, but they drop f-bombs talking about us.  That's the kind of vitriol over there.
6. If you decide to reload for it +- IMR 4895 is the correct burn rate powder to get it to function and not cause any damage.
7. Chip, I've installed one and also offer my help.
8. Mid South has 5.56 in stock but will probably be gone before day is over.
9.   Magpul sponsored numerous 3gun matches in 2012.  You usually got one or two PMAGs free at each match just for showing up.  Who'd thought they'd become such a commodity?
10. If you can't find 148 wadcutters, try 130 metal case- they are very mild.
11. I am partial to Ky-Tac, kytac.com, for a conventional holster.  I have one for a Glock 17 if you want to try before you buy.   Dave     NTPS.org
12. I have a FNS 40.  I've shot 40 total rounds through it.  Let me know if you want to try it.
13. Gunbroker has a couple blued 82s in the $750-800 range.  These are Kimber of Oregons, not America.  I'm not sure either if the collectors consider the later ones more or less desirable.  You're going to have a really classy truck gun!  Or it would look nice as a companion piece to my Model 84 Super America.  :)
14. Sure they do.  The Casull will mix the NcStar parts and scatter them randomly.  :)
15. http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?112989-success-in-reloading-a-22-long-rifle-for-survival While I can't vouch for the gentleman, he claims to have reloaded 22LR. I'd heard about 19th century Indians reloading 56 Spencer and like big bore rimfires before.
16. .25 ACP and .32 ACP Shoot very rarely. You can reload rimfire--difficult, dangerous and not recommended.
17. In their Gas Gun Basics video JP shoots some 100 yard groups in the .2-.3 inch range. Those aren't run of the mill ARs by any means. I'm happy with minute of angle at 300 yards from my 3 gun rifle. I'm not great at shooting groups.
18. Thanks to everyone who set this match up. 3 stage rifle side match made it extra fun!
19. I believe it was orginally designed for "metro"politan golf courses to thin out annoying goose flocks. Looks weird but I bet it works.
20. The CR Speed mag pouches are "universal". They come with different shims so you can set them up for single stack mags, skinny double stack mags like CZ or Beretta, or fat double stack mags like Para or S_I. They come in different colors also. Mine are blue but pretty grungy from years of use.
21. According to Lyman Reloading Handbook 49th Edition, Rifle Data for 45 Colt his load is max and gave 1100 fps out of their 16" Winchester. Hornady shows the following for their 45, 250gr XTP at 1100 fps: 100 yard zero +2.5" @ 25 yds +3.8" @ 50 yds +3.0" @ 75 yds 0" @ 100yds 25 yard zero 0 @ 25 yds -1.2" @ 50 yds -4.4" @ 75 yds -10" @ 100 yds You might simply suggest he sight in his rifle at 100 yards, looks like his load would rise no more than 4 inches above line of sight. I hope he has a successful hunt with his Henry!
22. This will a benefit match for TGO's own RWF. As some of you know Robert has been paralyzed in an accident and he and Wanda are working hard to regain some semblence of normallcy in their lives. Gallatin is also shooting to support them this Saturday. NTPS is shooting both Saturday and Sunday; if your schedule permits you can shoot both matches, double up on your fun and support some fine folks. Dave
23.
I have always stored my powder in ammo cans but as I was putting some back in the can it occured to me that god forbid I have a house fire am I making a big pipe bomb. What is the safest way to store powder.thx
SAAMI's answer: http://www.saami.org/specifications_and_information/publications/download/SAAMI_ITEM_200-Smokeless_Powder.pdf
24. [sup]Only downside to a Blackout as an "end of times" rifle would be if you have to go mobile. Since it's not yet common might be a little hard to pick up along the way. Of course if you're willing to travel with the additional weight of small casting and reloading kit that may be viable. I've heard a smoothbore flintlock expressed as a true survival gun since you can make your own powder, knap your own flints, use hornet nest or paper for wadding and load any projectile that will fit down the bore.
