  1. I'm looking to buy a Mortar or cannon for the range, since I'm new to this whole thing. I was look to see if there is anyone local in the state (nashville/clarksville) to give me an idea of what I'm in for. I'd like to really stick to a mortar that can shoot bowling balls or billiards. Just something to be added to the range for more fun.
  2. So you're gonna have a tough time with that distance. TN is super hilly, I'm working on a 400~ yard range on my farm, right now, the current range I've got setup is just 200ish yards. During the warmer months we ( @OpossumStomp ) shoot nearly every weekend or at least try to. Have a few other TGO members ( @MrRadioActive ) who I have met and hope to have them out this coming spring/summer as well. It's not a %100 perfect range just yet, but it's getting there. Hoping to have time to build an A frame pole barn for shade. You're welcome to come join us when we start back up. I always enjoy having new people come and shoot.
  3. This is a bangin deal, the kadet kit alone is like $400+ if you can find them. GLWS
  4. At this point I've become a CZ fanboy. All my CZs are just amazing firearms. The list of new ones I want is a mile long. If this was an A01-LD I'd be all over it.
  5. Who's selling this? You or Smg01? Just wondering why you're bumping the thread.
  6. So we have 13 donkeys (1 mammoth and 1 draft mule) lol, but we also have over 200 acres and well they can't be everywhere. They have helped a ton, but we still have them on the land and they can be heard a good bit.
  7. Even that's pushing a budget. I think Thermals are way out of my price range. Yep, was looking for a good red or green light more than anything.
  8. We rescue, so basically it's all in the red. No ROI here. Working on getting the 501 but that is taking a while.
  9. Holy hell lol, that's...damn that's a bit much for my blood lol. I'd love to get one though, thermals are always badass. Holy ####, ok, I thought the ATN Thor4 was expensive, but DAYUM lol $6k is way out of my budget, thanks for the suggestion though.
  10. Just wondering if anyone has a good suggestion for protecting livestock from Coyotes at night? They seem to be more heavy this year, and I'd like to be able to protect the livestock if I need to.
  11. Man that's really confusing lol. I'll give the DMV here a call and see if I can just walk in and renew, just going to go with a lifetime renewal.
  12. https://www.tn.gov/safety/tnhp/handgun/faq.html So now I'm confused as hell...says 8 years here, that I can just go to a DMV and get it renewed....BUT they haven't even updated it to say anything about the new CC bill that was passed and in effect July 1st. So I don't know what to believe now. >Any person whose handgun carry permit expires and such person applies for a renewal within eight (8) years from the date of expiration, such person shall only be required to comply with the renewal provisions. However, you may not lawfully carry a weapon until you receive a new permit.
  13. As the title states, my HCP expired almost 5 years ago, I'm trying to get it renewed (probably will go lifetime). I'm not finding much online (the forums resource thread is all 404s for me). Can I just renew it without having to retake the course? Or do I need to go through the entire process again?
  14. O yeah it's become my favorite rifle quickly. I didn't think anything would dethrone my mini 30.
  15. Shot it a good bit this weekend....and wow... holy hell is this a nice rifle. I'm getting better, but this thing can sure as hell outshoot me. The iron sights on this are just awesome. My range is only about 220ish yards right now, but the sight adjustment on this is magnificent. I was able to ring steel at the 200 yard mark pretty regularly. Now hopefully ammo will come down, because I am probably going to smoke through the 4k rounds of .308 I have left lol
  16. I really like the Mod0 stock, so will be sticking with it. So see that lever right next to the rubber butt, it lifts up and is supposed to release that pin, so you can telescope it up and down. Lifting it, doesn't release that pin
  17. So finally got it in. It looks great, only thing I noticed was the cheek riser release arm doesn't allow for the cheek riser to telescope. I've gotta push the tiny pin in with a punch to release the spring and let it drop. I don't know if this is normal or not but it seems like something is loose or installed wrong.
  18. Yeah I noticed this, thanks for the tips on how to get it flat. I think I'm going to be running irons on it for a while, as I really enjoy shooting with just iron sights. Once I do think about doing a scope I'll take your tips to get it all done properly.
  19. Lol me too, I got my range cut down for 200 yards, need to get the chainsaw out now to get it out to the 500 yards I want it at. Then gotta build a overhang and probably a tall deck so I can have a good shooting angle for the 500 yards.
  20. Well just won this one on GunBroker. Wishing this seller (talked to him on the phone 50+ years selling) would take something other than checks....blah wait time.... can't wait to get it in. This is going to be an awful long wait lol. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/902705037
  21. Is this thread still up to date? Looking for a club that does 3 gun.
