  1. This makes me warm and toasty in side.
  2. Guys I have not slept at all tonight. I was hunting in Perry county yesterday and around 2 o'clock I had a large buck run in on me. He stopped about 35 yards from me  and began to look around and sniff. I have seen a few nice bucks over the last few years but never had one come close to this size. When he stopped all I could see was his back half. I had got a good look at him coming in so I knew he was a shooter. He stepped around the tree and started to turn and run. I hate to say I took the shot. At first he ran maybe 40 or 50 yards and stopped and just stood their, and then just walked off. I thought I missed and after telling a hunting buddy what happened I went to check where he was standing and found one spot of blood on a small tree a few feet away. I looked till dark and then some. We are making the hour and half drive back at sun rise to look some  more.  I hate this feeling
  3. Can't we all just get along. Before they take it all away from us. Or start hunting us (now that would be one hell of a season)
  4. Colt!!!!!!! All the others that have been brought up are good guns. Yes you can a flasher more tricked out 1911 for the money. But the 1991 is a great firearm. Do you want ambi safety, night sights, checkering. You can buy a Kimber and these most likely will have these already installed. The same goes for a Spring Field. The 1991 will have a smooth front strap and three dot sights and a right hand safety. All of can be changed later if find out you would like them. The 1991 will be able to do anything you want to do and like already said above it will hold its value. Look at some models with the extras and see what you think. They all will be sweet guns and you will like shooting them. Good luck
  5. Just buy it you will love it.    W.W.J.M.B.D.

  7. Hello every one my name is Andy and I have a problem with Ice cream!! Bud I am in the same boat with you I hurt my back in Feb 2014, I was around 295 and 6' at the time. After being off of work most of the year in early August I went to doctor for a bad cough and when I step on the scale it read 322'. I almost cried right there I had been seeing the weight come up slowly but it never got over 315 I went a few months with out getting on a scale and was shocked that day. I made up my mind that I was going to change my life. I have only been drinking water. And eating a small pack of tuna for lunch, and two pieces of toast for breakfast and small dinner. I have only drank two 12 oz cokes since. As of right now I am 272 pounds. I started walking some at first but I have not since I started back to work in late Sept. I am not wanting to be a skinny guy but I am sick of hurting every dam day and I made my mind up that since the doctors cant help I would. And I have almost gave up ice cream. O.P. I hope you get to the point that you feel like you need to be at. If you need to talk or some help let me know. Keep up the good work.        Andy
  8. Smoke them if you got them boys!!!!!   I think I might be sharing the dog house Saturday night but I am still going!!!!! code red!!!!!!!
  9. From what I gather some of the newer ones have had issue with the sights, and actions being less the par. I seen post stating that the newer 45/70 models would have the front sight not centered up on the barrel they where between 1 and 2 o'clock. And some post where the action was very gritty. These where on 45/70s because that was what I have been looking for I do not know if this is true for others. Also I think that these where some rifles that Remington was making after buying out Marlin. The older ones seem to be topnotch from what I seen. Good luck       If you get a chance look up Hickok 45 on youtube he has some good videos on lever guns.
  10. I ran across a friend yesterday and while talking to him he showed me a picture that blew my mind and the story that went with it was even better.   Two seasons ago him and his dad was hunting on a piece land around 80 acres. My friend was watching a few does in a field when he notice a monster buck in the corner watching the does. He said before he could get his scope up it was gone. His dad was hunting a logging road not to far from him. Well you might all ready know what happens next ( BANG) yep dad dropped the hammer on him. My friend got out of his  stand and rushed over too see if was the buck he had seen, and found his dad saying boy you wont believe what I shot!!!! They looked for hours and the next day also but could not find the deer not even any blood or fur. So they just thought bad shot placement, extra strong deer, or a miss. Well over this past weekend my friend took his son to the same piece of land and set up a pop up blind in that area. As the sun came up they saw a few does and small bucks but nothing worth shooting. When my buddy saw what he thought was a deer bedded down in some thick brush. After a few hours and this deer had not moved at all he got and walked down to see what was up. And that's when he found the remains of the monster from two years ago complete! Only thing missing was half of one of the horns he said it looked like a coon had been chewing on it. So they took the skull and rack to his father and asked if he still thought he had missed the shot. I will be honest I did not believe the story two years ago or yesterday till he showed me the picture. I am glad that his dad got his deer even knowing it is damage, and glad that my buddy and his sun could be the ones to bring it to him.       Picture is coming Thanks to Luke E. thanks again bud
