Jeez, just my luck. Luckily my order was only for 30 something bucks. Some on there got cheated for a lot more. I guess I need to stay with trusted sources. I'm not through with them yet though.

Anyone else have any dealings with AA-OK.com ? It says on their web site that they are backed up about a week. Which is fine. I'll give them the benefit of a doubt. I've had 3 things ordered with them since April 12th. It's getting close to 3 weeks and they are still "Processing". My emails have not been answered either. They say not to call and emails will be answered, but believe I will tomorrow. Just ranting a little I guess.

I've been picking on the banjo for going on 40 years now. Yea, I started young. Been on the Cas Walker Show a few times back in the day.

I could swear I seen a video of a guy being arrested in some other state for open carrying when he had a ccw. Saying his permit is for cc only and not oc. And it was a permitless open carry state. I think he won it in court.

Someone actually was able to get ahold of him. He said he was sorry and had gotten rid of his uniforms.

I was aircraft maintenance in Marines and after that Heavy truck mechanic in Army. I was telling someone the other night, don't get caught up with too much drinking, messing around with the girls and get some disease, and don't get in trouble. A dishonorable discharge will follow you the rest of your life. BTW, looking back I regret getting out of the Marines.

I think my Aunt used to work there. Bobbie Walker. She's not with us anymore. Maybe you knew her. I know they wouldn't let me shoot 30-06 there. Also no blackpowder. I haven't been back since I signed on at the American Legion. They have an outdoor range. Now I can shoot anything I want up to 50 cal. and have my own key. I still may go to Gunny's sometime if I don't want to shoot in the rain.

Glad to hear your story Spots. Something to be aware of. Just for everybodies information, if you have an HCP, you can have a loaded long gun in your vehicle as long as a round is not chambered. The last Knoxville gun show at the Expo, pulling into the parking lot, a guy came walking up to my window with a sob story. Dude, don't you know that good percentage of people pulling in here are packing? LOL

We need an official scalper page with pictures.

No cartouches on Garand.

Sounds about right. I may get a magnifying glass and look around at the normal places and see if I can find a faint hint of anything. LOL -

Alright here's some more. Thanks Garufa for the stock sight. Comparing to the different types, it does seem to be a Springfield stock. I did have it completely took apart including the butt plate. Nothing. MikeW, I have seen where you can get those cartouch stamps and I'm sure some people have stamped their stock to raise the price of them. -

Gee I didn't know collecting historical firearms and wanting to learn the history of them means my knickers are in a wad. Lol -

Not sure if it's thick or thin. No p or any other markings except the 84 in the pic. -

Yea, I'll agree with it being a replacement stock with the original probably being unservicable. I did have to replace the barrel though because of being too worn out. -

Here's a couple of pics. Looks like original wood to me. The rest is the same with some dings in it here and there. No other parts are sanded except where the numbers are. -
I have a Springfield Garand that has no cartouches at all anywhere on it except for what look like the numbers "842" written in some kind of black marker on the heel. I forget the website I used but every single part on it dates to 1944. So it's not a part gun. What would be the likely history of it with no cartouches?

There's this guy at work that says "I've had more time in the crapper than you've been born.

My girlfriend took hers about a month ago and she got to keep her target. Remember also you can carry as many guns on you as you can carry also.

Hey, I played on the Cas Walker show a few times when I was in elementary school. Not famous. :-(

I had heard years ago that Arnold Schwerzeneger had a house by the river in Louisville or Friendsville. Can't remember.

Teufel Hunden. Some will know.

I would've waited a little longer to eject the hang fire.

I had a big nest on a utility poll out of reach once. I took some BB's, sprayed them with bee killer and shot about 100 BB's in the nest. Yes, it worked. About 2 days later they were gone.

If your wife is with you when you forget your wallet, just give your piece to her.
