I got a letter in mail from Highmark which is part of my insurance. They said I could get a $5 gift card from Amazon for answering some questions. Sure, I use Amazon some, so I'll do it. There were 9 questions and just about every question had to do something about if I was hispanic or any of my family was bi-racial and others along those lines. I answered them and got the $5 dollar gift card, but something is still kinda nagging at me about the questions they asked. What do you guys think?

I've had that happen to myself and also my ex. She called me on her way home from church and said someone was following her. I told her not to come home but to the store just down the road and I would meet her there, I got there before she did. He saw her on her cell phone and sped off before she got there. I thought a couple of times someone was following me, I didn't come straight home but circled around the block before I pulled in the driveway. I figure best not to let someone know where you live.

He had a North Carolina permit.

A buddy of mine was told by a South Carolina state trooper that even though he had a permit his gun and ammo had to be separated in his vehicle. I call BS. What is the law there?

I agree with the poor sights, but absolutely love my RO.

OH NO, the weird girl on NCIS, Abbey, won't get any more of her big gulps and no crimes will be solved.

When you get HCP, you can have magazine inserted, but not have a round chambered.

Was a little worried today when I got a letter from Tennessee Dpt. of Safety and Homeland Security. I had to have a major background check a few monthes ago because of my job and was thinking there might be something wrong. Turned out all it was was my HCP renewal paperwork. I didn't know they automatically sent renewals. Good deal.

Is it legal to carry into a liquor store?
Fivestring63 replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
There is one of those signs at the liquor store beside Alcoa Walmart. I can't remember the name of it. I tried to explain to them it had no force of law but they didn't want to try to understand so I let it go. -

I would hope that even if there were bad weather to still get together just for a meet and greet. Or maybe just an open carry lunch somewhere. -

OMG this is the first time I've seen this and I live on Big Springs Rd. LOL I'll be there. -
I was playing some good old Bluegrass with some old timers when I heard this and I told them what happened. They asked who is that? They were serious too.

Me teaching my 8 yr old the basics of the AR -15
Fivestring63 replied to plank white's topic in Show and Tell
I started both my boys out at 8 on a rented ar-15. They are 10 and 12 now. Watching them shoot the ar-15 in a textbook kneeling position--priceless. -
I love my Springfield 1911 Range Officer I got last year. Now looking for a 1911 (To replace my xd-40) that would be good for carrying that's not full size and also not a bad kick. Anybody have any ideas? I've seen some nice, smaller Kimbers that might fit that bill.

Saw this in a Taurus manual and had a chuckle. Danged if you do, danged if you don't. Warning Securing your firearm may inhibit access to it in a defense situation and result in injury or death. Warning Failure to properly secure a firearm may result in injury or death.

Yea, that's just the main page. Go to this cataloge link. Search Our Online Catalog I did actually look at every page and there were some deals there if you know what you're looking for. They bundle up a lot and have as many as 10 different firearms for one money. Ohh, and it is an auction, so they'll only sell for whatever the higher bid is.

Collector Firearms Auction Military, Antique and Modern Guns Wow, are they trying to get all the guns out of Illinois? LOL

I really like the Ruger SRC9 and the Taurus pt111 millenium. These are both double stacked, so you can carry more rounds than a single stack. They fill your hand pretty good for a good grip and the kick is not bad at all. The next would be the Ruger LC9. Smaller than the other 2 and single stack so it is thinner. Not sure about the kick on these. IMO, the others people mention are more full sized. I used to carry the G27 which is a sub compact, but it's really hard for me to consider that a mid size when there are others that fill that wording better.
