  1. I didn't really want to buy one "sight unseen" but if it's as good as you guys say then that's cool. As long as the shipping wont be high as heck .  I don't mind buying any good name brand , but i just didn't want to get a no name brand then get stuck with some POS that I would have to ship back.  Palmetto really sounds good . That is what I wanted originally .
  2. I have a complete lower assembly that I just built. I am still new to this but I am learning. I am now looking for a reliable but good priced upper assembly. I prefer to have the flat-top type instead of the carry handle attached. And I am wanting it to be 16 inches and a 1/7 rifling twist .  What are some good brands that are reliable and priced good that are sold here around middle Tennessee so that I can walk in a shop and look at it before I buy instead of having to order it without seeing it ?
  3. I have noticed that on a lot of videos on youtube involving a review of a gun , the person on the video always shows the camera the gun and says it is clear and safe or something of that nature. That is fine and dandy and a good thing to do but I wonder if it is a Youtube rule when posting videos about guns ? Anyone know ? The only person I ever saw on youtube that didnt do a safety check was James Yeager . He usually shows the camera that his gun is loaded and ready LOL  . Which to me is also fine and dandy since it is his place and camera and all. I just dont get why all those people are always so bent on proving that their gun is clear . So are there any rules about showing the gun to be clear or FCC/Internet  rules ? Just curious .
  4.    Thanks for the information . That newer grayish greenish digital stuff blends in kinda good where I hunt in the winter. Thanks  c.a.wilard
  5. On these new uniforms that the Army is using , do they have buttons and zippers for the groin/Fly area or is it all velcro ?  The reason I ask is that my old hunting cothes are about worn out and I'd like to go with the new style army unifroms for the sake of having so many pockets. Especially when muzzleloading and carrying extra bullets, powder pellets and other equiptment.  So is the "fly" velcro and are the pockets velcro too ? I do like the velcro alot better than zippers which get hung up so much .
  6. Hey sorry to have made this post guys and waste your time  , then again I am glad I did and thank you all. I have decided to keep them both. Yep I have taken you guys advice and decided that if I sold either one I would regret it.  Thanks a bunch guys .
  7. I am a huge CZ fan and had many Cz's but now I only have a P-01 in 9mm and a CZ75B in 9mm.  Both are great and I have carried both. Both are great shooters. The P-01 is aluminum framed and the 75B is all steel. The P-01 is a decocker and the 75B is a safety that can be carried cocked and locked.  Both are as reliable as all get out and way more accurate than I am and make a bad shooter shoot great. The P-01 has the NATO Stock Number stamped on it where it passed all these tests and such (too much to go into) and the 75B has been around for a LONG time tried and true.  I am thinning out my herd and am trying to figure out which to keep. Please give me your thoughts . Thanks .
  8. An IWI Jericho 9mm with the frame mounted safety
  9. Me too , look at my profile/avatar pic , my G34 is my workhorse . It is what I think Glock should have made the G17 as to begin with .
  10. Nice ! I  Iike that and Queens music !
  11. I used to cradle and handle my pistols like new born babies. Here recently I have started using them as designed. Life is too short for all the safe queen drama and I am starting to enjoy them way more then when they were sitting in the safe. Have you guys ever decided to do this ? So I now carry a tool now and not a safe queen . I am even not afraid to drop it nor toss it across the ground while  practicing now. It really does ease your nerves up some . Kind of like when you get that first dent on a car or truck, after that it doesnt hurt as much as the first dent did.
  12. I was at a gun shop the other day where I have bought a few guns over the last 18 yrs . Nice place and people. I understand that if you have a product then you can sell it for whatever you would like. Dont get me wrong , I believe that to the fullest , but this gun shop had Glock magazines for $55 and the bulk pack of 500 rds of .22LR for $55 too :stunned: . What a shame ! My favorite shop is still selling Glock magazines at $25 and the bulk pack of .22LR for $15 .  I just happened to be out near this area and figured I'd stop in to this shop. They also had lots of Ar type rifles and such but when I saw the ammo prices and the magazines prices , I just left .  Pretty crappy but like I said, they can charge whatever they like. I just chose not to pay it .
  13. Is this the same place that used to allow people to buy permits to go 4-wheeling there ? I thought for some reason it was also called Windrock mountain.
  14. I hear this and I hear that but cant find the proper TCA that covers it . My question is this : Can a Tn handgun Carry Permit holder carry their handgun in a place that serves alcohol if the place doesnt have a sign prohibitting guns and as long as the person doesnt drink alcohol ? Yes or no ? Thanks in advance . And if you know the TCA code please let me know what it is , thanks !
