  1. Ever wanted a PDF on something that might be useful after SHTF? Well are you in luck, apparently someone decided to upload 11 gigs of information on Pole Shift Survival Information website. Some of it is interesting, some of it is eh, but enjoy the read... http://www.pssurvival.com/
  2. Awesome, thanks guys. I've got a few places to check out this weekend now.
  3. Hey guys, It's time to put some new feet on the Tacoma. I haven't lived too long in Knoxville, so I was wondering if it was your vehicle where would you take it for the best $$$ for decent tires. I'm not wanting anything crazy, just standard all weather 16" tires. I'm not brand picky but if you have some knowledge on that, feel free to throw that in the mix too. Thanks.
  4. 0.79 for 50, yes 50 of these things for less than a $1. Of course shipping is $10 though,so it's like 0.22 per pisser. I'm not sure why office depot sells these but it looks like they don't want them anymore. I'm sure someone on here might want one for some reason or another. Then give the rest away as gifts! Deluxe Plastic Urinal With Lid For Men Case Of 50 by Office Depot
  5. They do sell them in different sizes, but if you buy a big one you can make the bags into any size you want. Simply cut it and seal it on both ends. These are the guys I posted about earlier delta69alpha's Channel - YouTube some of his first videos go into the details of using the bags, and the cons of use CO2 vs O2 absorbers.
  6. Food grade doesn't matter as long as they are clean and you use Mylar bags. congrats though, the bakeries I've visited acted like I was asking for their first born child instead of a bucket. Lookup P.A.W on YouTube, they put out some good info Sent from my Jitterbug.
  7. Looks like Ranger Man of SHTF Blog got to preview the show, sounds about like most expected the show to be. National Geographic Doomsday Preppers Pre-Screening Review
  8. If I remember correctly, when I saw this on another website it said they couldn't do it long-term without a warrant, but didn't define long-term. Seems like a loophole to me, but then again if they want to track me going to Wally World and school they can go ahead. Sent from my Jitterbug.
  9. Didn't see this on here when I searched, which I thought was amazing since NY comes up a lot on here. NYPD begins testing long-distance gun detector as alternative to physical searches. This article also has source links below it to The Huffington Post, and the NY Times if you'd rather read those articles.
  10. Saw this today, Woot! usually has full security setups a couple times a month. If you want to check back with them every now and then. Uniden 7
  11. Camping? Maybe not till early spring, since I haven't actually backpacked in years. But I'd be down to do some day hiking in Frozen head if you wouldn't mind going with an out-of-shape fatty.
  12. As far as the freezer / light issue, If I was still on the ship I'd say sounds like a high resistance ground, not shorted enough to actually pop anything with a huge amount of current, but could cause things to go screwy; especially with heavily loaded circuits. It happened a lot, but I'm under the belief we had mechanics chewing on wires. But I'm with bkelm18 on the loose connection if the water heater and the heat are on the same circuit. Whoever installed your stuff probably didn't tighten everything perfectly a wire worked itself loose.

    New XDS

    I'm guessing this: http://www.gunsamerica.com/blog/springfield-armory-xds/
  14. Your "New Shooter FAQ" link directs me right back to the TGO mainpage.
  15. Strange, I've transferred two firearms through them in the last year, both they stock. It was $25 each time, and their website even states $25
  16. Only 98 hours in, so far the the mage's college main quests and and the thieves guild are my favorites. Haven't started the dark brotherhood yet though, been putting it off for some reason. Guess that's the quest I'm starting next after I finish getting to 100 on smithing and knock out all these little miscellaneous quests I've had sitting around. Anyone else keep reloading when you accidentally kill Lydia, or is that just me? We've been through so much, hard to see her die.
  17. If you google the getjar marketplace, you can get a slightly outdated version of Tapatalk for free. As previously mentioned, it works great for this site. David has already started that ipb (?) works with tapatalk, although it might not be necessary. Sent from my Jitterbug using Tapatalk.
  18. Hey guys. I recently acquired a J.C. Higgins Sears & Roebuck model 101.7 / 311A 16ga double barrel and a Savage Arms Model 94F .410, from my family. Neither have serial numbers. They've always been used for hunting and such, so they are in a little rough shape and I'd like to fix them up. The 16ga has a cracked stock (but still functions fine), and portions of the barrel was scrubbed to remove rust so it needs re-blued. I took it to a local place today and they said $100 at least for the stock, $200 for the bluing, and 3 months in the shop. The .410 needs a trigger guard, and the front hand rail will come off if you pull on it with just a little force. The shop had no idea how much this would be. Same thing for bluing the barrel on this one too. I'm new to the game so this is the first time I've had to look at gun repair before. 1) Does these prices sound about right? 2) If I want to blue the barrel myself with the kits they have at stores. 3) Does anyone know if the front rail on the .410 is supposed to come off like that? Thanks.
  19. Just like when you join the military, by agreeing to wear the uniform you agree to give up some of your rights and bear additional responsibilities. I paid taxes while serving, but that didn't stop my loss of certain rights. These officers, IF guilty, are obviously not ready to be a public servant. I do agree however, if they are not guilty then who cares. The "victim" had every right to go to media since often the police are seen as a good ol' boys club and take care of their own even when they are in the wrong. Sent from my Jitterbug.
  20. That's part of the problem, we feel the need to coddle everyone's overly sensitive feelings these days. Sent from my Jitterbug.
  21. Don't know if this will work for you, but this worked for me twice. Put it in a freezer for a decent time, 5 hrs or more. Then wrap it so it'll stay cold while you hook it up. I know it's but it's worked for an external HDD and an Internal.
  22. Had it in South Korea, we couldn't read the menu at the Korean BBQ place but the woman that spoke a bit of English would only tell use it is was "Der ish us". Got mad when I was writing down the Korean word for it. She was right, it was delicious.
  23. Casey Anthony The Free Beer and Hot-wings idiots, don't care which as long as it would make 94.3 get rid of them. None of these people should be celebrities, but unfortunately they are.

    Glock Gen 4

I bought a Glock 23 Gen 4 back in July, it was my first pistol. After I put a backstrap on, I really like how it felt. The texture can be annoying when carrying, but normally just driving. I've put ~1000 rounds down it and haven't had any issues. No heavy trigger like tw was talking about, but I guess I didn't get one of the ones with issues. I never noticed how the finger grooves didn't really work well until OS pointed it out to me, but if you're familiar with other firearms you might notice it quickly.
