  1. See, what you want to do is have a solid argument. And if you don't have a solid argument, you want to attack your opponent. In this scenario, since you can't support your ideas with facts and logic, you tell your opponent that since they don't agree with you, it is automatic that they have no common sense. Don't fall for the BS.
  2. I own 3 "older model" GT knives that are absolutely wonderful tools. These are just too nice for me to use.
  3. Love, love, love it. I have at least a half dozen. 22 pistols. The TX is the cheapest of the bunch, and sees the most range time.
  4. Looking for a threaded 10/22 barrel. The cheaper the better. eBay has plenty but thought I'd see if a TGOer has one laying around they wanted to part with. I'm in Lebanon but willing to pay shipping to an established member of you aren't close.
  5. I've bought many guns on this forum that were unshot, or barely shot. Most of those came in their original box as well. Fact is, a lot of people buy guns on a whim and/or wind up never using a gun that they bought like they thought they would. Safes get crowded and what isn't being used has to get moved. There are a variety of reasons people move like new guns, but I've been buying guns on this forum for over a decade and have yet to have a bad interaction with an established member here and all purchases have been accurately described in the ad.
  6. I'll be in Murfreesboro this evening if that pushes anyone over the edge.
  7. By far not the most expensive .22 that I own, but if I could only have 1 this may be it. In my top 3 no question.
  8. Just a basic 15-22. I have several .22 rifles and this one is one of my favorites. Only selling because I bought a threaded barrel model to run a suppressor on. I've had this one for a few years and have had zero issues with it. I do have the box. $350 in Lebanon
  9. PM replied. It appears that TGO has come through yet again
  10. I have a Smith and Wesson 15-22 non-threaded barrel model. Would like to trade for a threaded barrel model. May possibly be interested in purchasing a threaded barrel model of someone isn't interested in trading. I'm located in Lebanon.
  11. Yep. I track my wife and my 14 year old daughter. My wife also tracks her father and her single best friend. Everyone except my FIL, (and sometimes our 14 year old) is 100% on board and aware. I don't really see a downside, except when I'm at the gun store for "too long" and my wife starts asking questions.
  12. Glad you survived Vanderbilt Wilson County, that place is awful.
  13. Just curious, is that a wood stock? The BL22 was my first rifle, stop have it 25+ years later, mine is an early 70s as well. I've only seen nylon stocks on these.
  14. All of y'all are over here being all scholarly and intellectual and I'm just spending 2-3 most weeks listening to Theo Von talk about cocaine and the redneck way of life.
  15. The earlier versions of this gun were really bad for light strikes due to crud in the firing pin channel and/or the bolt face itself. They can have weak firing pin springs as well due to age. As others have said, a good cleaning is the first thing you want to do.
  16. If anyone is possibly considering this, I can do $10k.
  17. If I'm not mistaken they all have threaded barrels. Grabagub.com has them currently for $267. Last gun I bought through them a couple of weeks ago was $10 for shipping. Plus tax. I have several more expensive 22 pistols, but the TX gets more range time than all of the others. You will love it.
  18. I just picked this Taurus Tracker in 44 up. I've had my eyes out for a Smith in 44 for years at a good price and one never came along, so I compromised. I've shot it, but haven't hunted with it yet. After shooting it I'm very pleased and can't think of anything a Smith would do better. I believe Taurus has upped their game. Intended purpose of this is point blank shots on pigs, so it should do fine.
  19. I was going to say something about this, but bit I couldn't think of anything nice to say, so I'm going to leave it alone.
  20. I've found that buying online in bulk is the way to go. I typically use Ammoseek, but it's not as easy as just selecting the caliber you want and choosing the first option that pops up. Typically, the best deals are not the cheapest, as the cheapest ones will have inflated shipping costs. I also find Ammoseek a bit more difficult to use when I'm looking for something very specific, such as a certain bullet type or weight.
  21. I had a Norinco JW22 (clone of a Browning SA22.) It was hopeless getting it to run right
