  1. I might also add that if you are operating under FAR 91, there is no legal requirements to stay and talk with the Feds during a ramp check
  2. When you get tangled up with the feds in aviation, there is no courts only lawyers. You can appeal their judgment and then it can reach a court
  3. I don't have the view but I do have a few magazines that hold more than 15 rounds
  4. If Chavez had a playbook, I would say Obama has read it. What I saw there would and could happen here. One big sign is the mass exodus in government brass, during the polarization, I think we are seeing some of that, next will come imprisonment of opposition (political) or the fear of it.
  5. I used to get searched coming in from there too because of its proximity to Columbia. I've also had someone try to sneak a box of cocaine into the aircraft but was caught by their customs guards. Things could have been bad.
  6. A pilots certificate has always been considered a "privilege" not a "rite" so in that respect, pilots have no real rights. Pilots operate knowing that they have the burden of proof not the feds, if they get you in their sights, you can be screwed
  7. I was in and out of Venezuela many times during 2002/2003, some crazy times while I was there, during ,,the strike. I see many parallels to the current party and have been warning people for awhile now. I was operating out of uMiaquetia at the time
  8. The Rover is a strong and safe vehicle, I would prefer to take a hit in it over other SUV's. A close second would be VW Touareg, or maybe visa-versa
  9. It was a 98, 50th yr. anniversary addition, fully loaded. The weight of the suv was impressive, it felt like a tank (and drank fuel like it too). The interior held up really well but I bet the mexican I sold it to trashed it already. If automobile companies gave out awards for completion of complicated repair procedures for their vehicles, I would need a trophy room just for Land Rover. I think this world would be a better place if they did, it would encourage people to get off their ass.
  10. Mine was pretty crappy. The guy I sold it to made out like a bandit though because I had already replaced everything in it. One day when pointing out a leak under the discovery to a Land Rover mechanic, he said in reply "oh that, it's normal, it's only bad when you stop seeing a puddle"
  11. In Tennessee, a taser is always a great option
  12. I don't think he knows the state of the union.
  13. If a war did break out, it would be a revolution, not a civil war. The revolution would be those wanting to go back to a nation that stands firm with the constitution, against those who like the "change" we have begun to experience.
  14. The cell phone is the trojan horse
  15. That's capitalism at its finest. Supply and demand. Nothing worse though than I guy raising a price on his pmags then turn around and bitch about gas prices rising during natural disasters. Fare is fare with market value. I do love the true honest person that maintains true market value during times of artificial inflation
  16. I fixed my own, pretty easy really. I had a speedometer that was erratic and a faulty fuel indication so a googled it and purchased two stepper motors off ebay. Just need a little wickit and some solder
  17. I like it. I don't trust people who can't shoot after a few cocktails, those are the people you gotta lookout for on the dove field.
  18. It looks like Israel was successful in getting U.S. to handle their problem.
  19. One hypothesis is Israel needs help from U.S. dealing with Iran. The Americans 'Achilles heel' is we are always willing to seek vengeance against anyone at any cost if we feel a great injustice has occurred. Israel seeks to exploit Muslims weakness in riot/violence/overact and Americans tendency to be the big brother
  20. I'm not buying it either, not just because it was reported from cnn but because it lacks logic
  21. I watched the trailer to the movie "Innocence of Muslims" on youtube. The movie which incited the riots, and got the impression that it was the intent of its creator. My only question is why? psyop?
  22. There's been more than a few accidental discharges caused by the weapon being not fully inserted into the holster when the lock was placed. Keep in mind that the firearm will discharge when inserted into the holster if anything makes its way into the hole (piece of shirt/belt/pen). Many FFDOs dislike the holster
