  1. I'm close. By far the staff at reloaders bench has the most knowledge and can save you a few bucks if loading multiple calibers. Pm sent
  2. I've had good luck buying second hand from members on here. Got 5k case a few months ago from gear section. MidwayUSA has free hazmat(google it) this month on regular price primers and cci on sale twenty five bucks per thousand. If ordering online you need to buy in bulk to stay within dave's plan so time to order about 10k primers. Stash some opportunity money for when some show up in sale section. I rate Winchester, cci, fiocchi, wolf. Never spent money on federal primers. Not worried about my firearms ability to give a primer a good wack.
  3. I use the graco catch it mk2 at busy ranges or for uncommon brass I want to keep. The best 24.77 (delivered) I have spent in a while. The newer models have a improved rail mount. Overall a homemade look/feel but nice for the asking price. If interested I will post a pic with new mount. Obvious.... pistol needs a rail for this model. On my recommend list http://www.gracomodels.com/picatinny.html
  4. I had a C100 when they first came out and selling under 300 bucks. What I liked: alloy frame, no LCI and no rail so more like PCR clone frame. The macger mags were nice, extra round over CZ . The trigger seemed a little more crisp than factory CZ, with crisp reset, it lean to cheap feel but I liked it... What I didn't like: finish was rust oleum crap, barrel next to cz barrel was cheap feeling, Tristar was not supporting it with parts. Grips were horrible. Supporting Turkey. I shot the snot out of one and it was good running pistol. If CZ would sell PCR without the LCI I would never look at the C100. Cajun Gun Works supporting canik helps make it better option now. Enjoy
  5. I think smith did an awesome job. Grip is better than j frame, able to get solid and high grip. I like ambi cylinder release. Not a fan of the laser and wish a cheaper non laser version was available. Good choice!
  6. Had one in 9mm. Heavier than I wanted and did not like the felt weight of it, seemed nose heavy. Took me a month to realize that. The 2.5+ oz over other similar pistols made a difference and kicked it out of my pile. the weight does have controllability benifits if you need it and makes a sweet shooter in 40s&w but if I need that caliber a glock 27 trumps the shield. The shield 9mm...... Traded and Happier with the block 43 but still can't displace the cm9. The only way to decide is get one and post an update. My o2

    10mm Glock

Because you mention little woods use and nightstand I would think about the glock 21. From 45 acp to 45 super to 460 Rowland. The only thing the 20 offers to make me consider keeping it is a 9x25 Dillon barrel option. If you want a 10mm you have ammunition money or will reload so both options are equal in ammunition respects. The 10mm production ammo is weak and expensive.
  8. Thanks for sharing. they blended in too much of fema's self destructing salt peter.
  9. My o2.... with 9mm and 45acp in factory Glock barrels, no issues on barrels with the dot in pentagon. Lock up & brass matters in 45 super range, starline used here. I have trouble with .40 & 10mm in all Glock barrels (including latest gen4) passing a gauge check but don't use pass through sizing die. I use long wolf or storm lake barrels for range visits for these calibers and no gauge check issues.
  10. Laxammo.com reloads both calibers and uses starline brass for new production. Good way to save decent brass for reloading. They just had free shipping weekend. I've had better experience with them than freedom. I'd be surprised if outpost armory wouldn't have both on the shelf.
  11. There are warnings about starting under the minimum charge. A lot of manuals stray from normal 10% reduction to a 3% reduction for h110. H110 likes a full case and reduction can cause inconsistent ignition. I think Hodgdon's minimum of 23 grains of h110 for a 240 grain bullet is a pussycat load in DE 44mag. For lighter loads I'd find another powder and not reduce that load any further.
  12. We load nosler 240 or 220 grains with h110 at bottom to middle of hodgdon recommended. You need a true magnum powder to keep it happy h110, 2400..... Accurate #9 to near max recommended with nosler 240 grains cycles fine and locks the slide most of the time. only revolver caliber I use a gauge for so if you don't have one consider picking one up. We have pretty good luck with factory ammo, but has a few rounds through it. Enjoy. It rocks with h110.
  13. . Paper clip trick? Agree, Most pistol brass I load light and shoot until I lose enough to not load that head stamp. If it will gauge, I am happy. Pistol calibers meant to be loaded heavy, revolver magnum-h110, 10mm with long shot, 2400, #9 can exceed my comfort level after a fair amount of cycles. Nothing like a gas leak or brass left in chamber to wake ya up or piss ya off. hot 40s&w or fast 9mm loads start with known origin and brass cycles watched. I load pistol and revolver calibers from .380 to 460 Rowland. this is a dangerous hobby. Like most others, I feel safer shooting my own than I do W white box or the Mexican eagle stuff. Unless I'm spilling brass out of my star line box, you are not picking up new brass. ;)
  14. There is a lot of new brass on the ground. And there is a lot of well used brass. I've walked off from hundreds of 10mm that had been cycled more times than I wanted to use. This is why I do not buy used brass from some sources. Most of my worn out to me brass ends up at a local indoor that sells to bulk buyer.
  15. If you route up i24, you must stop at outpost armory. If staying in Brentwood, Franklin gun shop will kill some time. Very few deals will be found there but these two stops will equal a free gun show. Lots of other good small shops around to buy from, but those are worth wondering through for entertainment.
  16. Do you have a hammer puller or collet bullet puller? If not please buy one! I do not see berry's showing a crimp groove on their web site so I will agree with others. Back off the crimp. a very light indentation you can feel with fingernail is more than enough crimp for those loads. Look through a few of my old posts in reloading forum and see if the links still work for some helpful info.
  17. She looks tight. Pull it and post a picture with a bullet out of the box next to it.

    Next Gen Beretta

Vertec is what I saw. Good luck with that. They need to clean house and start again in tn. The px4. What was this? Any entry into the highest bore axis contest. The pico? Is that Mexican for taurus? I never got the tomcat when a keltec p32 is one of the few keltecs worth owning, if 32 acp does it for you. The neos was made by some kid in his Star Wars underwear. Then the only pistols worth consideration started with number nine, but grinding the levers off the slide was too much trouble so I didn't bother. Nothing there earth shattering. Even a bad marketing campaign can sell bull doo to the us consumers. Look at cards against humanity's Black Friday sell. 30k boxes of doo. At least they know how to make things go bang better than some other guys out there.
  19. Yea. I don't even own a debit card. Not putting my bank account anywhere online. Credit card I can refuse to pay the bill and have money in the bank. Drained bank account happened to a relative and banks are not friendly. Target, Home Depot, ammunitiontogo are the tip of the hacked info iceberg. Guess I need to sheep up to 2014.
  20. The online price from buds looks like the cash price, so you need a cash like payment or pay more for CC. most of the LGS will drop 3% of the list price if you have fist full of cash. This time of year near inventory audit some will help good customers out a little more. A price point of around 1k starts to look like a tax savings, but we are on the honor system because the state would like for you to report it... Unless guns and leather has changed, there is a one year assistance with warranty issues printed on the receipt. Hard to beat a free drop it at the store and they take care of it service. They throw in a range pass so you can dirty it up before you leave. Buds does have the lifetime pay for it davidsons type warranty now. Best transfer FFLs are sumner gun or GnL. Can't find it local and looking for a model harder to find, try the gun crew in old hickory.
  21. Looks good. If you did not eliminate the ability to use it in single action keep in mind it can be dangerous in the hands of a novice. Deco king can be fun ;)
  22. Star line is taking orders for 10mm brass shipping on 10/24.
  23. I would rather deal with EAA's customer service then Sig's. An admitted ahole is much better then a smug prick in my book. I figured this thread would be another caliber debate before page one was done.
  24. nothing wrong with buying a single stage press to stay in tune with each cycle before mass production begins.  when reloading, things more important than speed are: facial conservation, phalange retention, firearm preservation.  any of those can be in jeopardy with box ammunition as well,  which is one reason some folks reload. won't be up for long.  please support those you found useful. most are unobtainable these days.   https://www.mediafire.com/folder/0mgupkamfcjrjq9,istmap2f3gdzz8f,p03ltdeyp5htmqm,istmap2f3gdzz8f,yfekgazbinpddt5,6hebccl57hufqib,rz2g5raah15ccc7,2w6h4up6b7cytdl,c6ys8acq6acbgbs/shared a few more added
