  1. Got the turd-gouger!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Built these almost exclusively to shoot suppressed.  I purchased (and of course waited on) a Liberty Mystic at the beginning of last year.  Received it late last year and tested it on one of my 300 BO ARs and it did a good jub, just waiting to get out and see what it can do on a bolt gun.   Overall the Mystic is a great multi caliber suppressor in my opinion.  Have also shot many a 22 through the Mystic and it handles those very well as well.  Liked it so much have another in the pipeline right now.
  3. Built these with assistance from..... you guessed it..... Dolomite_supafly. His willingness to talk and postings here and on SS have assisted me greatly with these builds. Thanks as always to him. Savage Axis .223 donor with McGowen Precision 16.5" threaded varmint contour 1:8 twist barrel on epoxy/rod modified Savage stock. Mueller APV 4.5x14x40 scope. Savage Axis .223 stainless donor with McGowen Precision 16.5" threaded stainless sporter contour 1:7 twist barrel on Boyd's Thumbhole stock. BSA 3-9x50 scope. (picture of both together)
  4. Resealed my concrete deck with the rustoleum a while back and was happy with the way it went on, covered, and applied.  I will tell you I used a standard roller, not the one they have in their kit, and it was easier (tried both).  Not sure how that would equate to wood.  I have some left if you would like to try it on a few places before you go all in on it.    Just let me know.
  5. Glad you had a good time the other day. That was a Savage MkII FV-SR we were shooting like many have already mentioned. Of course we were just plinking with rem gold bullets but you saw how well it did with non-target ammo. The only mod I have done was adding the Boyd's Evolution stock to it. 6. I do reload for .223, .45, and 308 but to me 9mm is right on the cusp of worth the time. Again just my opinion. I have looked into casting but have not taken the plunge. As for Walmart and inventory, they probably get fulfilled from the vendor based on inventory rather than ordering themselves. Not sure if that is the case for ammo but I know that is the case for other products. If the system shows they have some in stock when they don't, two things occur. The buyers see that it is not moving and don't have time or bother to order more and the vendor sees they have many days on hand and does not push more to the DC for the store. Again not sure if that is the case here but it never hurts to ask what the system shows on hand ( if you can find someone ). If the system is not correct, finding someone to correct it is even more difficult.
  7. Stopped by the Walmart in S. Knoxville today and no .45 shelf tag or stock in the federal 100rd. Shelf tag only for the 9mm but no stock. They have quite a few boxes of .40 s&w Federal 100rd boxes in stock though.
  8. I own a Marlin X7VH (26" barrel) and it shoots very well at 200 yards which is as far as I have taken it at this point. Even the friends I shoot with that are 700 5R owners are impressed with the Marlin. The only work I had done to it was to float the barrel which is relatively cheap. For the price of the Marlin (around 350) you cannot go wrong IMO. The X7VH may be heavy to lug through the woods but there are many other flavors with shorter barrels.
