Being a native Tennessean (Chattanooga is home) my blood runs orange but I appreciate great football no matter the team.
Except when they play the Vols . . .

Has anyone found a good kit to restore headlights that have gotten cloudy and yellow? Something that is usable and not ridiculously expensive?
Thanks!

Not sure if we really have to worry about that. I’m guessing Vrabel will end up at New England
That seems to be the rumor . . . his press conferences do not suggest he is worried about his job here.

So it is time for Amy Adams Strunk to go searching for a new coach?

I met both of them on a Habitat build years ago. As President he tried to create a new dynamic that was admirable, but not what we needed as a country at that time. One of the most gracious former presidents we have had.
And on the Habitat worksite, he was a whirlwind as a worker!
God's blessings on the President and his family.

So, I was up in the school part of Covenant Church with my wife yesterday. The school is not yet back in the space (thank you BWCC for the space you have allowed the school to use). I had not been in the building past the front foyer since the shooting.
Lots of changes since I was there when TCS was still in the space. But they had a lot of damage to fix. We had to walk down the third grade hall to pick up some tables and it required us to walk past where the children were murdered. It was hard. There is not evidence of anything except they have blocked off that stairwell for the time being. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t choked up.
Anyway. I just needed to get that out.
Thanks.
I am really sorry you had to experience that. The circle of trauma rarely comes to an immediate end.

I still like the old Body For Life method of eating with intention for 6 days a week and giving yourself a “cheat day” to eat literally whatever you want. If your exercise is right - and you’re getting enough sleep and water - that cheat day not only won’t derail you - it’ll show your body that you’re not going to starve it.
Even though it’s probably 30 years old, and is dead simple, it is in my opinion still the single best “program” out there. I bet you could find a copy at a used bookstore or EBay cheap.
Is this the book? https://www.alibris.com/Body-for-Life-12-Weeks-to-Mental-and-Physical-Strength/book/8684281?matches=368

Below are the medication regimens for this disorder. I am curious to see if the meds were in her system in terms of whether she was actually taking them. So often folks refuse to take their medications and by law you cannot make them take them which leads to very quick mental declines.
Medications
In general, doctors prescribe medications for schizoaffective disorder to relieve psychotic symptoms, stabilize mood and treat depression. These medications may include:
- Antipsychotics. The only medication approved by the Food and Drug Administration specifically for the treatment of schizoaffective disorder is the antipsychotic drug paliperidone (Invega). However, doctors may prescribe other antipsychotic drugs to help manage psychotic symptoms such as delusions and hallucinations.
- Mood-stabilizing medications. When the schizoaffective disorder is bipolar type, mood stabilizers can help level out the mania highs and depression lows.
- Antidepressants. When depression is the underlying mood disorder, antidepressants can help manage feelings of sadness, hopelessness, or difficulty with sleep and concentration.
I forgot to mention the possibility of any other mood altering drugs in her system.

I think it would be enlightening to be able to see exactly what medications each mass shooter had in their system.

Is there any data on what percentage of those with that illness become violent? Guessing fairly low?
Great question:
Background
Although most people with psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder are not violent, there is an association between psychotic disorders and violence, and with homicide in particular [1, 2]. Patients with schizophrenia are ten times more likely to commit homicide than a member of the general population [1]. However, the proportion of homicides in society attributable to schizophrenia is small and consistently falls below 10% [3, 4]. Also patients with schizophrenia are themselves fourteen times more likely to become victims of violence in the community, compared with being arrested as a perpetrator [5]. Notwithstanding these findings, understanding the relationship between psychosis and violence is important because it may help reduce violence within this population, save lives, and prevent patients becoming stigmatized by an act of violence arising from their mental disorder.
