  1. I have an SGL-21, can't go wrong with Arsenal in my opinion. It is a great looking gun and it's pretty accurate. Never had any issues for the 700 or so times I have fired it, and Tapco mags are snug, but they certainly fit in mine. Its a gun I will never sell, just like my m&p9. Only downside is that it is at least 2 pounds heavier than my AR.

  2. My main issue with CTD is their self-imposed gun control, however their price gouging put the nail in the coffin. I will never buy anything from them, and I educate all my gun owning friends and advise them to boycott CTD for life as well. We don't have to put up with companies which have a complete lack of integrity (Cheaper Than Dirt .com)

  3. I have and carry a SW1911 TA (for~4 months now), and I weigh only 140lbs. I know you would rather have the (slightly) shorter slide, but the 5" tends to be a little more reliable, and it is a sweet gun to shoot. With a good holster, most handguns can be carried comfortably. If you want an heirloom, I would recommend a steel frame and I have yet to have any issues with my S&W1911 (>400 rounds over which half was steel cased ammo). Just be sure to purchase replacement parts for whatever you decide on, so that it can be used for a looooong time. A friend of mine has a Springfield TRP, you may want to look at that too. It's a pretty sweet gun.

  4. bought a ruger mk iii 22/45 with replaceable panels, and it is extremely accurate and seems very well built. It came drilled and tapped with a rail. cost me 330 otd, and I would certainly do it again. This is competing with my m&p as my favorite gun

  5. I've fired over 1500 rounds through my m&p9 fullsize, and have had one failure to eject. I love this gun, I carry it 95% of the time that I can carry (also carry a pf9). I like it so much I am seriously considering selling my ar 15 and getting a m&p 9/40 compact...
