  1. I am originally from Michigan and have lived in New England.  Anything less than 6 inches is just flurries.
  2. A state trooper pulled over a car with 4 old ladies in it on Hwy 40.  The officer stated to the driver if she realized she was driving 40 in a 70 MPH road.  The driver stated she thought the highway sign was the speed limit sign.  The officer looked in the back seat at the 2 old ladies there.  The old ladies looked frightened.  The officer asked the ladies if they were ok.  The ladies said they had just gotten on highway 40 from highway 150.
  3. Every time I look at new trucks I also look at a new Corvette.  For 5K more I can get the Vet....  Then I say the hell with it and I will keep my 93 Jeep Wrangler a little longer.
  4. I use this website to find the ammo I am looking for.  http://ammoseek.com/.
  5. It is all a mater of taste.  What I like my wife doesn't.  For a semi auto I prefer a Remington 1100.  Some days I want to shot an old Browning A5.  For pump I like the old Winchester model 12.  Take her to a gun shop and have her try a few on for size. My wife always likes to go shopping.
  6. Yes they do.  I do a lot of shopping at Kings.  Great people to deal with.
  7. Thanks for the input.  I am going out west to shoot some prairie dog hunting.  The last time I used a 22-250.  I had some shots out to 300 yards.  Savage has a gun for around $400.00.  I did see a Winchester for around $800.00.
  8. I am looking for a new varmint rifle.  I have been reading about the .17 round.  I wasn't sure the WSM was going to stick around until several gun companies started making rifles for this new round.  The HMR has been around a little bit longer.  Does anyone one have one of these rifles and what do you think?
  9. I would buy as many as I could afford.  The one I have was made in 1918.
  10. IMHO I am going to have to agree that the .308 is what you are looking at.  .270 is also something to look at.  The Winchester ballistics calculator shows that the .270 is flatter than the .308 with more energy and velocity at 200 yards.  I shoot both and they are both great rounds, radially available and cheaper that the 7mm Rem Mag that I also shoot.
  11. I found a few on proxybid.com        https://www.proxibid.com/asp/LotDetail.asp?ahid=8940&aid=100979&lid=26745211&rts=/asp/searchadvanced_i.asp%23searchid%3D0%26type%3Dlot%26search%3D1903%26sort%3Drelevance%26view%3Dgallery%26length%3D25%26start%3D1%26refine%3DCategoryName%7Cfirearms%2B%2526%2Bmilitary%2Bartifacts#topoflot     https://www.proxibid.com/asp/LotDetail.asp?ahid=8940&aid=100979&lid=26745237&rts=/asp/searchadvanced_i.asp%23searchid%3D0%26type%3Dlot%26search%3D1903%26sort%3Drelevance%26view%3Dgallery%26length%3D25%26start%3D1%26refine%3DCategoryName%7Cfirearms%2B%2526%2Bmilitary%2Bartifacts#topoflot
  12. I was at Dunham's in Columbia yesterday and Kings Firearms.  They both had .22s there.
  13. Sweet looking rifle.  The only problem I see is that it is right handed.  LOL.  Great grouping.
  14. I have always said I spent 20 years in the Air Force to protect people's rights to be stupid.  More people are killed by cigarettes and by cars than by guns.  Once they ban those I will give up my guns.
  15. I may be one of the only people that have not drank the cool-aid.  I still like wheel guns.  Those guns are just so ubiquitous I just can't bring myself to buy one.
