  1. I guess I don't get Morgan's attitude towards taking out the bad guys. He has been on the outside and knows how people are and that you have to be careful / untrusting. As for the ones that were at terminus, I don't see how they could trust anyone again and understand the kill or be killed attitude. On a side note. We thought for sure the lady in the armory closet was going to shoot Morgan by mistake if he opened the door.
  2. I had to renew so I went to the dmv and renewed In person last Monday. I received my id today. One week is much better than I expected.
  3. Would you post their user name which is usually a made up name or their actual name? If you post "Chicken lips" to the wall of shame, would it make a difference? I think banning them at the IP address level would be better. That way you can make sure they can't just make a new name and show up again. Maybe a simpler way would be to charge the fee before they can have access to the selling process with a long enough time to insure there claim is false. Would that work?
  4. I noticed the scope thing too. Mentioned it to my wife. I would like to think that they were trying to portray him as an inexperienced shooter who felt pressured into taking (or trying to take) the shot. I learned about the scope creep from a friend that made that mistake. Black guy in the cell will probably use him to get things in dangerous places. Addicts can be controlled if you have what they need and will do about anything to get it. I think the officer was fragged. The way the others were looking at him made that seem like the reason.
  5. Gun myth #37...... "You actaully have time to get to your favorite gun of choice for home defense in the 3 seconds it takes for the bad guys to rush through your door and into your living room."
  6. Got mine from there also. It was really nice shape. I hope you enjoy it.
  7. I read the book and thought it was great. I am hoping the movie is good and that they didn't change anything to "Hollywood" it up. I will go into it knowing that most movies don't live up to the book and hope it follows it as close as possible.
  8. We use Butler Animal Clinic on Oak Ridge Highway in Karns to board and as our vet. They are great and have Saturday afternoon pick up so you can get you pet when you get back from a trip.

    Land Value

If you wind up paying more than you really want, I would try to work into the deal that the land be surveyed and that the bounday lines are clearly marked. You don't want to pay more than you want for additional problems such as bounday overlaps, title issues, easement issues, access issues, etc. Also as a land surveyor I have seen land purchased for assumed amounts of acreage that were no where near what was actaully legally transferable once the people had it surveyed. Do your homework and protect yourself and you should be good.

    Land Value

Use the following link shown below. You should be able to see what the previous owner paid for it. Also, see if the county health department has any record if the property will "perk" for a drain field. If the area being cut off won't perk, it is not developable for residential use unless there is sanitary sewer service available. That coupled with the property already being logged drops the value substantially to anyone not wanting to add it to there existing property. http://www.assessment.cot.tn.gov/RE_Assessment/
  11. I have to disagree with the hit and run argument. If you got up, told her to watch were she is going and then walked away and got in your car, it's not a hit and run. Sounds like you left first. Should she have pressed the issue and made sure that you were alright? Probably. Not trying to start an argument, just looking at it from a different angle.
  12. The last two times I tried to use U-haul they didn't have the trailer ready / available when we showed up at the pick up time. Both times we had to drive across town to another U-haul store to get a different trailer. On the last one, we drove across town and were told it would be $400 to rent after reserving it for $150. They were total jerks both times. I would recommend trying one of the other vendors listed by some of the folks above.
  13. I looked at several today and the ones I looked at were all matching numbers. No forced matched if anyone is looking for one. $149.00 was the price on the box.
  14. We stayed at the Hampton Inn north on 51st Street. Kinda far from MSG but it was right next to the subway and was nice. $200 a day plus about $50 for parking. We felt safe there and it pretty close to a lot of other attractions. I would definitely stay there again.
  15. Something to think about is that the car has taken a hit and the bumper and safety "crumple" zones are compromised. The vehicle is no longer as safe to drive. I am not saying it is unsafe just not as safe. What is your safety and piece of mind worth? I vote for getting it fixed and fixed right and then move on. Just my 2 cents worth. Good luck with whatever you choose.
  16. Well I guess I am going to go with the S&W when the time comes, unless I find a 9mm carbine before then. What about cdnn? Anyone ever order from them?
  17. I really like the Smith and Wesson but at $500 it's not far from a regular ar in a larger caliber. I have held the S&W and the Mossberg but the Mossberg just feels cheap and out of balance in your hand. That is part of my concern with the Colt. I will add that I don't mean that Mossbergs ARE cheap, just that it felt that way.
  18. Anyone ever had / fired one of these? Are they any good? What about CDNN sports? They have them for &299 but I don't know anything about them. Thanks.
  19. An added bonus are free kindle books from Amazon. You can get a lot of the classics for free. Sometimes new authors release books for free just to try them out. My wife has the older standard kindle and likes it. I have heard that the back lit readers can be a little hard on the eyes for longer periods of time but the paper white looks like it is the best of both worlds.
  20. I have had USAA my whole life and am very pleased with them. As stated before, they are not the cheapest but I have never heard of them pulling the lame crap that most insurance companies try.
  21. I just bought one from a member on the forum but have not shot it yet. As for retail price, Bass Pro has them for $359 and I have seen them in Knoxville for $379 to $399. It does seem like a lot for a 22 pistol when you can get some nice 9mm pistols for about $100 more but I could not pass up the deal I got on this one, but I am a Ruger fan so my opinion may be skewed. ;)
  22. I have 2 Mosins. One hex, one round. They are great guns and fun to shoot. I just got an email today that AIM has them right now for $99.
  23. The fact that the guy came up to you and apologized says something different to me. I can see the "group" rule being true. I am sure that there are way to many people that come in with the whole family and pull the 3 boxes per person thing. The guy may have been telling the truth about the rule. If you weren't there when the other three first came to the counter you may have missed them being a-holes to the guy. He may have caved to avoid a scene (another thing that managers want to avoid), hence the apology to you later. If he was selling to friends and intentionally screwed you, why would he apologize. Most would have laughed about what they did to you to there friends. Again, just my opinion.
