  1. If you're already gonna have a shotgun, I'd go with the AR. James is correct, the insurance is a good option. I pay an extra $25/year for $5000 worth of insurance for my guns. That protects them from theft. In the case of fire, flood, etc, they are covered 100% anyway. You mentioned an apartment. I live in a 2nd floor apartment, and I just got one of these safes. http://www.academy.com/index.php?page=content&target=products/outdoors/hunting/firearm_safes&start=8&selectedSKU=0340-03031-4311 They are not fire rated, but it will keep the common thief from walking aout with them. It's actually a pretty nice safe, and the price is great. The safe weighs about 200 pounds, but it was pretty easy getting up the stairs with a dolly.
  2. True, but you're still without the bada$$ SP101. I know what you mean, though. They aren't cheap.
  3. Welcome to TGO! I've stopped by a few times. A friendly bunch. Enjoy your stay!
  4. Ummm.....What are the options again?
  5. Makes them bada$$ http://www.geminicustoms.com/index.htm
  6. Congrats. I've thought about getting one and sending it off to Gemini Customs. Unfortunately, my numbers 1 and 2 on the wish list take priority. Enjoy!
  7. I may see you there. I'm gonna try to be there first thing in the morning.
  8. Our sincerest condolences go out to you and your family. Your Grandfather sounds like an amazing man. The middle picture gave me goose bumps. If you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask.
  9. Sounds like my Wednesday, minus the stop at Hero-Gear. I get paid to stop at Hero-Gear on Friday's. I took a vacation day just so I could check out Outpost and do some gun/ammo shopping. I hit about 5 different stores that day. I think going to work would have been much easier on me, but not nearly as much fun. Congrats on your recent buys.
  10. Welcome to TGO! Enjoy your stay! I see you're from Memphis. Please don't shoot anyone. Thanks in advance.
  11. If I don't find a Marine Magnum and a Sig P220 Elite Stainless before then, I will be visiting Smyrna, too.
  12. That thing looks very nice. Congrats!
  13. Aim Surplus is another site that I've had great experiences with.
  14. VERY nice! I'm a big fan of the "clean" look, too. Maybe I'll get out and shoot my DW CBOB 10mm one of these days. Congrats!
  15. If you've never visited either, flip a coin.
  16. Ohhhhhhhhhh, but that dreaded video. I have a good female friend who's been thinking about getting her HCP, so maybe they will go together.
  17. That's good to hear. I wish my girlfriend would go. She's not against it, but she doesn't want to go by herself. Congrats to your better half.
  18. It's gone. It was on the main page. I'm not seeing it anymore.
  19. BTW....If you can have me a Marine Magnum and P220 Elite Stainless waiting (with the TGO discount, of course;)), I'll really be forced to spend some money.
  20. Sorry about that. I searched a few terms, but didn't see it. My bad.
  21. Well, since my route brings me to Winchester on Friday's, I'm going to be forced to spend even more money at Hero-Gear.
  22. Off to a decent start.
  23. Oh My! Just when I thought I had all my bases covered. http://www.pse-archery.com/prod.php?k=55444&u=01135
  24. The gun CLUB is no longer there, but the land owner has decided to keep the range open.
