  1. Apparently, you're supposed to buy their coffee and drink it an hour later.
  2. Like people didn’t live Knoxville in the early 90’s and that case didn’t make national news. Yes, Glock was sued in Knoxville and Gaston himself brought over and put on the stand due to an officer’s negligence.
  3. Since this thread has gone to hell over McDonald’s I guess y’all never heard of the infamous hot pickle lawsuit here in Knoxville years ago. A woman claimed grievance over a super hot pickle that slid out of her burger and caused grievous injury. Her husband jumped into the suit claiming he was "deprived of the services and consortium of his wife”. True fact. Look it up.
  4. It’s great that you want share that info for other Taurus owners but they’re not going to see in in a thread about Henry .45-70’s…in the longs guns department. Go ahead and start a new thread in handguns. It’s real easy.
  5. Have you ever seen overalls?
  6. The only pizza in Nashville I am familiar with is Obie’s over by Vandy. It was great and pretty sure is gone now.
  7. I can’t tell you much about Lake Fontana and fishing but Fontana dam is most impressive. It’s the tallest dam in the eastern US with a fantastic view of the mountains. The only bad thing about it is getting there…you’ve got to tame The Dragon.
  8. Brown retired from football before I was even born but I do remember him from movies and TV.
  9. It appears like this is happening more and more all across the state. This kind of thing has always gone on but it’s a lot worse now than it used to be. I simply do not understand how anyone leaves anything of value in their car overnight. And there is an elephant in the room. Guns in cars. Legal, yes, good idea….? Don’t leave them in there overnight!
  10. If you have a Henry .45-70 lever-action this may be of interest. https://www.henryusa.com/recall/
  11. said “can I help? Looks like you guys sure need it.”
  12. They’ll send the stuff to Zastava (name sound familiar?) to scavenge parts, refurbish, melt down for new manufacture, or a combination of above for export to the US market. Can M59/66’s (Yugo SKS’s) still be imported?

    Ruger Bearcat

I don’t think Bearcats are inherently inaccurate, they are just hard to shoot well due to the size. Maybe get some oil up into the action, get some snap caps (or yellow drywall anchors, they’re cheap and fit perfectly) and dry fire it a while to break it in.
  14. @Links2k Please try to keep up with the sarcasm.
  15. East where, North Carolina? It is such a gun-friendly state.
  16. If every single firearm was removed from Memphis, it still wouldn’t fix the problem. Same goes for every other city in this country.
  17. Embrace and support local radio. Listen to music as it supposed to be…random.
  18. So, not a Sex Pistols reference?
  19. It’s one of my favorites. The variety and quality of what they play is incredible. When I’m in Memphis that’s what the radio is tuned to.
  20. The real stuff is called “Americana” these days and there is plenty of it…and it’s good. Check out what WEVL’s schedule is in Memphis (FM 89.9), they have programming at certain times for that stuff, or if you really want to get down find WDVX online. That’s an independent East TN radio station that really delivers.
  21. I spent two fantastic weeks in the Bahamas living on a 35’ boat with friends and then sailed it over to Hilton Head. The boat’s name was Garufa and the crossing was an adventure.
  22. SS is not different. Same letters just represented as lighting bolts.
  23. Pretty sure that representation of SS has always meant just that since the 1920’s unless you know something different. Nazi. Plain and simple. Wearing the symbol of the Shutzstaffel makes one a half-assed Nazi, or a full-blown one if such a thing really exists anymore. Over 400,000 Americans died to eradicate that scrounge from the world, 6 million Jews exterminated under that “insignia” and many other millions died under it’s spell.
