  1. Nothing wrong with it at all, but it is ok to let some go if you really want or need to.

I’ve only sold 2 of my father’s guns.  One, a beat up 1918 peddled scheme Enfield that was half-assedly sporterized and missing the saftey.  I pulled it out of a trash heap by the street at my grandmother’s house when I was a kid and even he said he didn’t want it, lol.

The other was a Marlin bolt action .22 Magnum.  He bought it when I was a kid, why .22 Magnum I have no idea.  Great rifle and if was  .22lr  I might have kept it…but I’ve uh, expanded the collection since then and there’s only so much space.

Don’t miss them at all, some his others I’ll never let go of.

I remember one about 10 years ago that really spooked the neighbors.  And I think some housewife's cake fell.

Was that the one outside Murville where the guy from a new subdivision next door came out hollering about his kid taking  a nap at 2 o’clock in the afternoon?  Then the law showed up and told us to have a good time.

I havent seen one in a long time. I did one in 13 or 14 and we had probably 50 plus people show up. Lots of big guns and tannerite that day.

    I was there.  Good time!

The electric fences work great. My brother has two labradoodles. One is a sweetie and wouldn’t go anywhere on her on. The other one is brain dead boy who hasn’t been fixed and runs like the wind. They both stay well within the zone of the fence. They required no shocking only a tone and vibration from the collars.

You mean an invisible fence?  Once a dog gets up the gumption and charges across the line, they won’t do it again to get back in the perimeter.

My dad used to have one of these. This was the gun I learned to shoot with when I was a kid. Wish you were closer to Franklin. This would be sold.

I do believe @FUJIMO goes to middle TN regularly.  Y’all work something out.

One of the perks of having a regular dentist. My wife and I have gotten in same day with urgent problems at our dentist. Hope they get it fixed.

This.  A regular dentist is just as important as any other kind of doctor.  As has been pointed out there is a huge correlation between dental health and overall health.

My wife and I both go in every 6 months for tooth maintenance to the same dentist I used for years before we even met.  X-rays are done every 18 months now if I recall correctly, used to be every other visit, regardless we keep up with the teeths and if there’s ever a problem we can get in quick or have an emergency backup if needed.

Luckily, I have a decent dental insurance plan.  Never had one till I had to write a check for a crown my wife needed because the cost was a wash.  Paid the same amount in insurance every year as out of pocket.  Then she had a root canal, and it was worth it.  Long story short…regular visits, cleanings, and x-rays are really not that expensive, but major issues are

Hope you tooth gets better @DeepSouth and you get to keep it.

  8. I remain confused.  Are we talking about the bulk SMP 842 powder David sold in 8 lb jugs actually labeled as such or “7.62x39” labeled powder that might have come from him?

Where ever he is I hope he’s well.  Helluva nice guy and very generous.

  9. This is one of those few times “baloney” would actually be correct.

Now that the lesson is over, just because a gun is previously owned doesn’t mean it isn’t just as good as when it came home from the dealer.

I remember a time when the souvenir baseball bats were quite popular. My wife kept one of those in her car for many years. In fact, I have several of them around here. I wonder if the old Chicks or the now Redbirds felt they were protecting people when they gave those out? Of course, I doubt they've given those away in years. Probably considered weapons ya know. 🙄

I have one of those old Chicks minibats.  It’s a dandy, unassuming, little thumper.

I believed all the hype on the 45-70 recoil.  I finally got my Marlin 1895 sbl and sighted it in after shoot 4 different types/weights of ammo.  Recoil was acceptable in each one.

That model has a pretty thick Nancy pad on it.  😀
