    Too funny!

    That's better than "E-mails from an a**hole".
  2. eyescream, just put that second copy in an evelope addressed to Sheriff Jimmy "J.J." Jones. That what he goes by and that's how I mailed mine. Correct address can be found on the Knox County Sheriff's website.
  3. Heck, just go buy one. Austin's in Oak Ridge is having their crazy-mad summertime sales blow-out extravaganza...LCR's for $380. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/vendor-firearms-sale/42052-its-hot-so-handgun-sale.html It's enough to have me seriously considering one, even though I find a plastic revolver an abomination of all that is holy. But if you get one and don't like it...talk to me.
  4. WTF does that have to do with the price of tea in China? Are you familiar with the concept "flight of ideas"? There is a utopian country out west you may want to investigate...California.

  6. Strel, you're alright by me. If you're trying to start a ruckus you have succeeded as usual and that is always entertaining. Never forget "free speech" does not mean screaming fire in a crowded movie theater. You can apply that same analogy to arguing with a bunch of conservatives....regardless of right or wrong.
  7. Erik88 posted this link a while ago and I bought a couple of these belts. They come in brown or black.... Amish Work Belts - Brown Great for the price. It's gonna take a couple of years just to break them in.
  8. I have nothing to contribute other than to request you take and post pictures of a Turkish gun store or whatever the merchant's bazaar might look like.

    What If........?

I was just looking that up to prepare my statement.
  10. Who is this dolt? Would you hit it?
  11. I enjoyed three word thread as stupid as it was. It only takes one.

    Glock 28

Oh, it would sell in the US. One, because it's a Glock. Secondly, people in this country will buy anything, the sheer number of handguns and options available now is proof that. A fine example is the Hi-Point. It's gotta be the biggest .380 ever created and they still make it for some reason.
  13. This may provide the opportunity..... TVMuse: 'Memphis Beat' » The Commercial Appeal Solid debuts for TNT's 'Memphis Beat,' 'Hawthorne' -- The Live Feed | THR Oh, and if you choose to Twitter or Facebook, of course those are options too.
  14. You might want to lock your piece away before watching, unless you wanna go all Elvis on your TV. The wards reference threw me too. I think they wrote the show about NO and only threw in Memphis to rip-off Elvis & the blues. How many old creole Haitians are in Memphis anyway?
  15. Great report. Coal Creak is a good place to go and try out different pistols on the range. Yes, the costs do add up just doing that but once you settle on something you start finding the many ways to reduce those costs. Or you could do what many others do and just start buying guns until you find what suits you best. With a little practice shooting handguns accurately is a fairly simple thing to do and hitting paper is a good start. It does take practice to do it consistently and a 9mm is a good choice to start with as the ammo is relatively inexpensive compared to all the other centerfire rounds. Most people do get sticker shock with Sig's. They are, uh, exquisitely priced. There are many other options out there just as capable for significantly less. Are y'all thinking about getting HCP's or just something for home defense?
  16. WTF does Mexico get off? Mexico asks court to reject Ariz. immigration law - Yahoo! News PHOENIX – Mexico on Tuesday asked a federal court in Arizona to declare the state's new immigration law unconstitutional, arguing that the country's own interests and its citizens' rights are at stake. Lawyers for Mexico on Tuesday submitted a legal brief in support of one of five lawsuits challenging the law. The law will take effect July 29 unless implementation is blocked by a court. The law generally requires police investigating another incident or crime to ask people about their immigration status if there's a "reasonable suspicion" they're in the country illegally. It also makes being in Arizona illegally a misdemeanor, and it prohibits seeking day-labor work along the state's streets. Citing "grave concerns," Mexico said its interest in having predictable, consistent relations with the United States shouldn't be frustrated by one U.S. state. Mexico also said it has a legitimate interest in defending its citizens' rights and that the law would lead to racial profiling, hinder trade and tourism, and strain the countries' work on combatting drug trafficking and related violence. "Mexican citizens will be afraid to visit Arizona for work or pleasure out of concern that they will be subject to unlawful police scrutiny and detention," the brief said. It will be to a U.S. District Court judge to decide whether to accept the brief along with similar ones submitted by various U.S. organizations. A spokesman for Gov. Jan Brewer did not immediately return a call for comment on Mexico's brief. Brewer, who signed the law on April 23 and changes to it on April 30, has lawyers defending it in court. Brewer and other supporters of the bill say the law is intended to pressure illegal immigrants to leave the United States. They contend it is a needed response to federal inaction over what they say is a porous border and social problems caused by illegal immigration. They also argue that it has protections against racial profiling. Mexican officials previously had voiced opposition to the Arizona law, with President Felipe Calderon saying June 8 that the law "opens a Pandora's box of the worst abuses in the history of humanity" by promoting racial profiling and potentially leading to an authoritarian society. Calderon voiced similar criticism of the law during a May visit to Washington. U.S. officials have said the Obama administration has serious concerns about the law and may challenge it in court. Secretary of State Hilary Clinton recently went further by saying a lawsuit is planned.
  17. I'm liking the new graphics and all but to tell you the truth I'm not too crazy about the new home page. Before anyone starts blasting me I don't mind change one bit, but.... Am having a hard time deciding on the usefulness of the "Current Discussions" panel (or pane, never can remember what those are called). Seems too post-centric as opposed to thread-centric. Maybe it's just me but it's really distracting and confusing. If you click on the thread title (which is underneath the post) you are taken to that specific post left to try to figure out where it is you are. Me, myself and I prefered to just see the most recently updated threads, without having to log in. There are a couple of other things I've noticed that I'm sure are on David's list so I won't go into all that. In short, IMHO, one of the strengths of TGO was the home page...very informative and easy to navigate. Nice to see who's online without scrolling to the bottom of the page to a list of names not comma-separated, or scrolling to even see the first post, etc. (BTW, my browser settings have nothing to do with it.) Looking good so far, just a few more tweaks and it will be as awesome as what we had. JMHO!
  18. I noticed that. It's very prominent.
  19. Since I have no desire to read through another eternal thread.... WTF kinda snake skin did OP find? Only looking for one answer here...the correct one.
  20. You passed the test. If I recall my class correctly about 2/3 of the shooting was from 3 and 7 yards, maybe a little more. The rest was 15 yards.
  21. What does government sanctioned unions have do with the BP destruction of the Gulf debacle?
  22. Ain't it wonderful how they simplified things for us?
  23. Will the new version of vBulletin we are upgrading to have a "Reply to All" capability for PM's? It would be quite handy in responding to PM's addressed to multiple people.
  24. Isn't that why many people who get rear-ended develop whiplash?
  25. Excellent.
