  1. Saturday AM? Not that I'm interested or anything. But if the opportunity arises.
  2. Personally, I refer to myself as "Northern-European American", semi-tall.
  3. Reagan was a Cali Republican. Governor even. Is there a difference?
  4. I think the R. party shed her like a wet blanket after all the spending sprees during the campaign.
  5. Don't disgrace the Flock and that one song.
  6. How'd you find that in all that black & purple madness? Read the same this morning before the switch-a-roo. Hope those 30 people had a good time.
  7. Hippies have far better taste.
  8. Welcome to TGO. I don't have an XD but know several who do. Many own them because of the grip safety and I tend to agree. In little hands it might make all the difference.
  9. How so? ATF agents are investigating based on records in their possesion, right? If I'm wrong please let me know because I do not believe in all this "our guns are not registered business". They are not by law but technically there is a record, i.e. database that is traceable. There are a bunch of federal forms with my name and serial numbers on them, so I accept that fact.
  10. Check this...http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/2nd-amendment-issues/23790-batfe-checking-gun-owners-border-states.html
  11. I'd like to introduce everyone to what must be the ugliest newspaper website ever designed: Knoxville News Sentinel: Local Knoxville, Tennessee News Delivered Throughout the Day. I hate the KNS but it's the only paper around here. This is just awful.
  12. Thanks, but sorry, this has been well discussed hereabouts.
  13. Just my but I prefer the .40 over 9mm. No rational reason behind it other than it's bigger and harder hitting. Is a bit snappier. As far as XD vs. XDM goes, will the shooter be able to take advantage of a match grade barrel over regular production?
  14. Never pondered that. I only have a man Smith. Don't know about the price on this (high) but maybe the model #'s will give you an idea: http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=162234
  15. Very nice. My first pistola was/is a Smith 39. Still have it! Great gun, fun to shoot, easy to hold. The only difference is the rear sight.
  16. Hate to butt in, but I was born and raised in Midtown, so I will. Is Huey's posting? Maybe you folks can get together at one of their locations (all locally owned).
  17. I've been through the same situation with FedEx and just called the 1-800 number and had them hold my stuff at the local terminal. Sure lessens the havoc and explaining at home! I assume UPS would do the same but really don't know. Just give'm a call.
  18. How about an airsoft MP40? Very realistic looking, except that orange thing at the muzzle - could paint that. And it shoots. Looks like prices vary wildly from $100-200. Just Google airsoft MP40. Not cowboy at all but mighty cool.
  19. DSL is old school but try the following: 1. Shutown computer and power it off. Disconnect power cord from wall and computer. 2. Disconnect cable from computer to modem/router from both ends. 3. Disconnect that adapter thing from whatever it is connected to. 4. Disconnect any wires going to any wall-jacks. Wait about 15 minutes and start plugging stuff back in. In reverse order of above. Then turn everything on and try it out. If that doesn't work call support. I've been in the IT game for a long time and have seen some weird stuff when it comes to connections and diminished service. Wires get static built up in them and also just loose their strength.
  20. This thread is devolving into a theme: Gay things. Now let's get back on topic. Why do cats try to bury their poo when there's nothing to bury it with?
  21. So I was out in the garage playing with some bullets and found a round that had a questionable scratch/deformity near the rim. I thought what better time try try out my fancy new RCBS Pow'r Pull Impact Bullet Puller. Plus the boredom was driving me nuts. Stuck the thing in there and after a couple of good whacks on the floor, apart came the round. If anyone was ever curious to know what the innards of a Turkish 8mm round made in 1945 look like here you are: FYI, the bullet weighs in at 155 grs. and powder at 48.3 grs.
  22. Wild Things coulda, shoulda been one. But there was that silly plot.
