  1. It's been around 2 years for me also.
  2. Thank ya sir. Been a long time.
  3. It has been a long while. Kinda had life going on, plus a frozen shoulder made me to not even want to think of a gun. Anyway, I'm trying to get back in the swing of things.
  4. Wich brings up my recipe. Good ammo! Good ammo! remington hull, Winchester primer, ,27gr winchester WSF, federal 12s3 wad, with 1-1/8 oz 7.5 shot. Low pressure & 1400fps. Can take out birds others don't even pull up their guns for.
  5. I love the fact that with my Marlin 1894 in 357 mag I practically can't miss a target at 100 yards with iron sights, standing up, off hand ! It it is my FAVORITE gun to shoot.
  6. Seeing any CCI 22 WMR (AKA 22 MAG)??? I would love another 50 to 100 rds.
  7. My best one on RCBS was, I bought an older Rockchucker that had the straight green pull handle & while I was on the phone getting a new hopper for my $10 Uniflow I mentioned I would like to have the ball type pull handle for the Rockchucker. Yup got one of those to (just because I waned a different one).
  8. I have acquired a Dillon 450JR. It is not a RL 450 is is a 450JR. There is not a lot of info on this one out there that I am finding.
  9. I'll give it a try there Caster.
  10. I would do 500 to 1000 gun clubs if they are the brass coated heads.
  11. That was how I came up wit the 256 win mag myself, but mine is in a Marlin model 62. I have a sweet spot for Marlin leverguns.
  12. & the 12 ga is Winchester 209 primer with a clay buster wad Federal 12s3 I beleive, 29gr Winchester WSF powder behind 1 1/8 oz shot. Hits within 10FPS of 1400 every shot.
  13. You are the man. But still one incorrect. Yes the smaller one is a 357 mag necked down to a 25 cal to be a 256 win mag. The one that is left is the ole 6.5 jap to finis it off. So the list is : 9mm, 45acp, 38spl, 256 win mag, 32-20win, 357 mag, 41 mag, 44 mag, .223, 22-250, 225 win, 30-30, 35rem, 44-70, 444marlin, 243 win, 7.62x54r, 6.5 jap, 30-06, 7mm rem mag,& the ole 12 ga.
  14. Ok the ones missed are 30 Herret & 7mm-08 That is a good eye. Surprised ya got the 225 Win & the 32-20. There are still 2 oddball ones left.
  15. Holy crap you are close. I'll analize when I get the phone charged.
  16. Got a couple more. Starting from left is 9mm, 45 ACP, 38spl, & yes a .223 & 7.72x54r is in there somewhere. With 12 ga on right of corse. None are 5.7, 5.45, 22mag, or 308 Hint some of these at odd calipers.
  17. Not a 300mag but close. We now have both ends identified with a 9mm & 12 ga.
  18. Haha. Was about the cheapest I could get. I will promise ya that.
  19. I haven't done this in a while. See how well you can guess each caliber that I load for. Of corse the grand prize is bragging rights that you know your stuff.
  20. I have a safe full of 39a, 1894, 336, 1894, 1895 & model 62 Marlin rifles. With that being said I have a 1895 Remiln guide gun that is spot on. The quality of it is great(it's not a 1970's Marlin by any means) but at 100 yards off hand with iron sights I will still put it up against one.

    45-70

Don't rule out the new Marlins or (remlins) if you will. I collect Marlin leverguns, & always look for the presafety guns. With that being said I do own a (remlin) 1895 GBL guide gun in 45-70. The fit & finish is great even though I'm not a fan of checkering. The sights are spot on straight out of the box. & is actually my favorite Marlin to shoot besides my 1894 in 357 mag. Just don't rule something out without checking it out yourself if you have a chance.
  22. I have the RCBS & all works well. I load 9mm , .45 ACP, 38 spl, 357 mag, & a few .223. Priming system works great in the 3000 to 4000 I hVe loaded on it. I mounted a RCBS lil dandy powder throw in one of the holes & it also works great (just expensive for a few of the rotors).
