  1. Sig P365 generally, especially with slacks for front pocket carry. With jeans, generally either a Smith 342 prelock, or a Smith 337 prelock.

Either of those last 2 basically just disappear, easy to forget that you’re carrying.

I'm a Marlin lever guy but to be honest never seen a lever I didn't like. Rossi very nice guns. Here's my 44-40 and 357. And picture of some of mine on the wall.

I need to show this to the wife, she’ll think I’m okay.

  3. As stated earlier, it’s hard to beat a Smith model 13 with a 3” barrel.  65’s are nice also, but the blue just speaks!  All business, and the last FBI issued revolver, it’s hard to argue with.

Beyond that, any of the L-frames, but one of the rare 7-shot 586 Smiths is a really nice revolver if you can find one.  L-frame, 7 rounds, round butt and available with a 4 inch barrel.  It’s a nice piece if you can stand the internal lock.

And, of course, the pre-80 Pythons.

Those are my top suggestions.  Never had a chance to handle a Korth or Manuhrin, but I’d like to.

  4. It has a rotating bolt that works extremely smooth.  So if you’re far enough forward for it to fire, it (the bolt) is locked into position.

Those things basically pump themselves backward to eject the spent shell if you even just assist it a little bit, making for likely the fastest loading pump action ever made.  I had one that I liked a lot but it jammed on me just a couple times so it had to head down the highway.

  5. Me and a buddy took both my recently acquired at the time Sig P365, and his new Hellcat to the range a couple years back.

We took turns shooting both one round at a time, with the other guy helping with the swap out. We did this repeatedly.

Both of us shot the Sig more accurately, with less recoil than the Hellcat.  The Hellcat also had a misfeed.

I was glad that I owned the Sig, have carried it ever since.

BTW, I formerly pocket carried a Glock 43 and liked it really well but just couldn’t justify such a difference in rounds available to continue to carry it vs. the Sig.
