  1. Couldn't find a clip of the version I wanted, but I've always loved the song "Black and Tans".
  2. Now, THAT'S the ticket.
  3. Ooooooooh... SHINY! Where are the frames made on Springfield's "Loaded" models?
  4. I suppose w/ such an adversary, strategic baiting, trapping, and destroying would be the best way to combat them, rather than traditional small arms.
  5. Thermite. EMP Generators. Something to generate LARGE amounts of directional electricity... a sort of "man made lightining machine"... didn't Nikola Tesla invent something of that nature?
  6. Yeah, I hear ya. I guess I don't really care either way. I mean, it's not going to create more people texting, and I don't do it anyway, so it's non-consequential.
  7. Being a motorcyclist, I'm all for this bill. Although not on my bike at the time, someone almost ran me off Hwy70 last week... texting w/ both hands and steering w/ their knee... I actually saw someone texting while riding their motorcycle a few days ago
  8. Yeah! I love those. I've always thought they had a slightly "Bat Mobile-ish" quality to them

    For all the Glock Fans

Er... Guessing that was aimed at me? Not a "Glock Guy" myself, although I did formerly own a 3rd Gen G19. I rarely jump in the "Glock vs. Blah" threads, but this guy was pretty much talking out of his ass. That said, I hardly think posting a picture of a KB proves the Glock design is anything less than robust. Gaston designed one heck of a pistol, I don't care what you're packing, you gotta admit that Arguing that a S&W revolver is more reliable is a moot point to me. It's apples and oranges. I'm sure his S&W revolver is plenty reliable, but it isn't near the combat/duty arm a Glock is. Not even close.

That's a quite successful manufacturing model that Glock didn't invent. You think Ford, Chevy, Honda, or Toyota don't do the same thing with automotive components? Interchangeable parts lower production costs. Meh, and some people believe in "body thetans" and "Dianetics" Point? You had a point?

Pretty sure nobody is arguing that with you... Besides, 5 people already noted that HK made the first polymer handgun before you chimed in like you discovered this fact in a secret file hidden deep beneath the sea...

I agree. SOMEONE is making themselves appear less intelligent... and I don't think it's GLOCKMEISTER.
  20. Where/who you thinking about taking up training w/ David? I'm wanting to get back into BJJ myself. I trained @ Nashville Mixed Martial arts back when Luiz Palhares (6th Degree Black Belt from the Rickson Gracie Camp, and 3X Pan American Champion) was the instructor. I hear Nashville MMA has changed a lot in the past few years, but (aside from their cheesy advertising campaigns & lousy training contracts) is still a top notch school and a facility.

I'd say they are more just what you describe than they aren't.
  22. Hmmm... I know Freidman's Army Navy Surplus in Nashville used to carry them, probably still do.

    7 pages of WIN.

Dude.. I just started reading it... WOW. This Scotty clown's accusation that Mike "wouldn't last a day in Nebraska" due to not knowing it was an Eastern Milk Snake... yeah... NEBRASKA?!
  24. I'm using a door mounted pull up bar from wally world. I think it's called the "Iron Gym"... I use it both as a pull up bar, and a push up bar (to increase ROM). They suggest the bands ONLY if you are completely physically incapable of pull ups, or are unable to obtain any sort of apparatus to do so. Since I am currently unable to do set after set of pull ups, I use their "chair method" (which they demonstrate in the Intro DVD). Basically, I do as many as I can, and when I need a little help I put the tip of one foot on a chair placed in front of me, and use that to stabilize and relieve the least amount of weight possible to still obtain proper form. The farther away the chair, the more difficult. I found it to be a great technique for increasing reps. I highly suggest following the nutrition plan that goes alongside the workouts. It's more of a meal plan than a diet, really. Lots of fresh veggies, meat and fish. Minimal carbs and refined sugars. You'll notice in their dvds, they really push the P90X branded "Recovery Drink" and protein bars. Personally, I think you're better off buying EAS Whey Protein (5lb bag for $29.99 @ Costco) or Body Fortress (2lb tub for 14.99 @ Wally World), then buying a workout recovery supplement that suits you from GNC or Vitamin World. And of course Protein Bars can be found aplenty at virtually any grocer. The trick is finding ones that don't taste like glue and bark.
