  1. I have several knives to finish in the next month or so and then I'll be making 3-4 of this same blade in different materials and woods. While they will be the exact same blank they will appear totally different. Upon completion I'll post them up and give you all the opportunity to get one with and without a sheath just in case some of you want to make your own or sub it out to someone else. We are probably lookin' at 5-7 weeks from now unless the missus keeps adding stuff to the honeydew list.
  2. Welcome aboard.
  3. Welcome to TGO!
  4. I have two.....one is from Beaumont Metal Works... https://beaumontmetalworks.com/kmg-belt-grinder-packages/ and a homemade version of the same one. I have several arms set up with a small wheel attachment, one with a 10" wheel and other smaller sizes as well as a flat platten. I find having additional arms set up ready to go eliminated tedious time having to reset all adjustments and reconfigurations. Just pull one arm out, insert another and go.
  5. If you want known steel check out New Jersey Steel Baron on line. Excellent selection and been using them for years. As far a local I can't help but maybe check out scrap/salvage yards for leaf/coil springs as if done properly can make some excellent blades. Good luck and can't wait to see some of your creations!
  6. Whenever they get it done I want one.....just sayin'.
  7. http://www.foxnews.com/tech/2018/07/19/armys-new-machine-gun-will-blast-like-battle-tanks.html The Army’s new weapon will look like a light machine gun, but will put M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank-style blasting power literally at the fingertips of U.S. soldiers. The new light machine gun will weigh less — and yet shoot farther. It should make U.S. soldiers even more lethal and enhance their speed and mobility while improving their safety in future combat. he Next Generation Squad Automatic Rifle (NGSAR) may replace about 80,000 SAWs (the M249 squad automatic weapon). The well-known and loved M249 SAWs were already beasts — now the Army’s light machine gun is going to get even more powerful. Armed with the NGSARs, soldiers will have the confidence of knowing the new weapon can be relied on for stopping power against sophisticated adversaries who arrive to fight in advanced body armor. The aim is for the NGSARs to fire bullets at pressure levels similar to those achieved by tanks when they fire. Rounds will smash through advanced adversary body armor even at a distance, allowing soldiers to accurately shoot while maintaining a safe distance from the threat whenever possible. Read more.
  8. I don't know where he learned that technique but I want that guy on my team.
  9. Well that's real purdy for a Glock. It looks like you got yourself a nice little race gun now.
  10. Welcome aboard!
  11. Nice Jeep...welcome aboard.
  12. I went that route as well. And man do I like the LED's.....
  13. No...the politicians on both sides of the aisle suck and that goes without saying. The difference I see is socialists have no problem inciting violence, slander etc to achieve their goals. And I'm pretty sure you may be the only one that thinks getting the next justice appointed won't be a problem.
  14. I honestly see this nomination held up for months if not longer. The left will do everything they can to keep a conservative out. And honestly riots in the streets incited by elected officials seems to not be out of the question. If these morons want to disrupt people from eating a quiet dinner what do you think they will do about this. I mean after all...they just selected a Socialist over a guy who was poised to take over the reins from Pelosi. http://insider.foxnews.com/2018/06/27/alexandria-ocasio-cortez-defeats-joe-crowley-five-reacts-upset-top-democrat-pelosi
  15. Welcome to TGO.
  16. Good luck...deep pockets can fix most anything.
  17. Welcomes to TGO.
  18. https://www.commdiginews.com/politics-2/millennials-understand-constitution-they-dont-care-65322/ One of the most troubling trends that this age group is currently dealing with is the idea that a guy like Bernie Sanders, who once boasted that no one deserves to make more than a million dollars and routinely defends communism, somehow has a legitimate case to be president of the United States. Why could that be? What in the world could be driving all these impressionable young minds to believe in policies that are not only destructive but are completely antithetical to the foundation of the country and what makes it great in the first place? Well, it’s actually quite simple. There have been a million articles out there about how millennials are uninformed as a result of not paying attention or not caring. In fact, it is more likely that millennials know what makes America great and just don’t care. A Pew poll says that 40 percent of young people apparently think that the First Amendment, one of the most important if not the most important pillars of our freedom, should not apply to speech that minorities might find offensive. This clearly implies that young people are familiar with freedom of speech, they know it’s a part of the fiber our country, they just don’t care. Feelings are more important, which leads to the obvious conclusion that feelings have the power to trump any aspect of the Constitution, which is of course extremely troubling. The last poll doesn’t have anything to do with the Constitution and the idea of changing our founding document in order to not hurt anyone’s feelings, but it speaks volumes about the mental fortitude of the millennial crowd. According to a poll taken this past January, 10 percent of college grads (yes, graduated from college) believe that Judge Judy is a Supreme Court Justice. Just let that sink in for a few moments. Young people today believe that socialism is cool, our founding document should be altered in order to not hurt anyone’s feelings and that a television star is a member of the most powerful governing body in the land. If that doesn’t sound a deafening alarm in your head, then I don’t know what will.
  19. I feel exactly the same way. I'm not anti-social....well maybe a little...but my circle of friends has dwindled by choice over the years from a group of friends to a select few very good friends....actual people that can count on each other. The older I get the less time or energy I have to deal with the politically correct soy boy mentality the better. After all...I'm trying to lead a stress free life. My two dogs make me laugh every single day. And while I appreciate the right to carry either open or concealed I feel it's no ones business if I'm carrying or not so I do go the extra mile to keep it that way.
