  1. I have spent some time at the Cheatham WMA Range. Its not a bad drive from Nashville, maybe 30min depending on where you live. You can shoot pistols at short distances as well as rifles out to 100 yards. I have seen just about every kind of gun you can image out there. The range is basiclly self regulated and everyone I have come in contact with seems to have good judgment. I have copied the range information below which came directly from the TWRA website. Hope this helps. Cheatham WMA Firing Range and Archery Range Open 12:00 noon until dark every day. Fee required: Adult (age 16 or older - $5.50 for 2 hours), Youth (under 16 years of age - $1.50 for 2 hours). Must purchase the range entrance ticket from a TWRA license agent. No tickets available at the range. Use or possession of alcoholic beverages prohibited. Contact Randy Cromer (615) 792-4510.
  2. My name is Rob and after a long time following TGO from the outside I decided to officially join a few days ago. I live in Hendersonville and frequent the gun shops in our area. I do most of my shooting at the Guns and Leather indoor range. All of my handguns are Smith and Wesson with the most recent addition to the collection being an M&P 9mm compact. I wanted to also take a minute to give the guys at D&T Arms a pat on the back. I went in last week to see if they had the new M&P Shield available. They didn’t have one yet but took my name and number and said they would call when it came in. Sure enough and true to form they called me and gave me a chance to look at the gun yesterday. Anyone who hasn’t had a chance to stop in and see these guys are missing out. Glad to be here!
