  1. tsprint is exactly correct about what Frank Nicely said.  Nicely went on for two or three minutes about what a great friend of gun owners Maggert was and how wrong the NRA was to target her.  Nicely also said the NRA has never tried to defeat a democrat.

Frank showed his butt plain and simple.

    I'll sum up Frank's speech.

    TN state republicans good.

    Frank is an NRA member

NRA is run by democrats that only try to defeat republicans

per Frank the NRA and TFA have never done anything to help gun owners, only republicans in the state legislature are helping gun owners.

That speech was the exact reason why Frank refused to run for his contested house seat (he would have gotten his ass kicked by the eventual winner) and slid into a "created" senate district that was vacant.

BTW Frank's crowning achievement in the legislature has been allowing the butchering of horses for meat.

  2. Your last post is like a riddle so I'm not sure what you are trying to say.

Most polls had it closer for Romney than it was and yes a lot of ignorant people wanted to believe the polls.  So as I have said don't believe the polls THEY ARE NOT ACCURATE!  The polls overcounted for Romney and undercounted for obummer.

Now if you want to argue the polls were right but didn't take into account the millions of fraudulent democrat voters then I'm willing to listen.

I can't convince you the sky is not falling.  All I can do is point out that nothing has hit you in the head.

  3. I don't doubt which side you are on my friend.  I just want to educate you a little about things.  You mentioned a poll.  You do know that polls are fixed, right?

Quit using the information provided by the enemy.  It is dishonest and puts one in a position of arguing against the propaganda of the left.

I have been involved in a few political races in my time.  The first thing you learn is to appeal to the VOTERS that are in your district.  Therefore the only people that matter are people in congressional districts that can be swayed and I would venture to say the number of movable house members that can be moved are less than 5.  Our reps have already taken sides publicly.  The senate is far more wishy washy.  There are alot of republicans in the senate that are more anti gun than Harry Reid.  Luckily this has no chance in the house. NONE!

We are no longer in a debate of ideas.  We are in a political street fight and the republicans are losing by being wimps and trying to be "nice".  You can't fight a "community organizer" and political thug with debate and rules of order.  If our side has a chance we will have to don brass knuckles and crush our enemies if/when we win.

Look where we have gotten trying to play by their rules.  I don't like it here.

  4. A legislator's conscience is determined by what will get him reelected, and he determines that by a variety of methods to feel the pulse of his constituency and the money flow that will or won't come his way depending on his stand. Nationwide, I posit that the NRA's clumsy efforts since Sandy Hook has swayed more folks and money toward the anti-gun side than our side.

    That is what doesn't work.

You may "posit" all you want but you are still wrong.  The NRA is surging in popularity and fund raising.  Where are you getting your info because it is not accurate?  Turn of the lame stream media.  THEY LIE!!!!!!!!  The NRA has picked up 1/4 million members in the last month alone.  Does any dues paying anti group even have that many members?

Don't fight for acceptance in the media.  It is impossible.  We will never convince the suburbanite sheeple to come to our side and the left wing base would vote for a steaming pile of dung if it promised not to cut hand outs.  Our path to victory is to rally our base and forget the illusion of "the middle" or "undecideds" which are mostly created by the media for the sake of election drama.

  5. Rogero is card carrying left wing nutjob.  She even brags about protesting with ceasar chavez in the 70's for "workers rights".  She made it a bullet point on her campaign website she was so proud of it.

The city of Knoxville is left/democrat leaning and has been for years.  The city has lots of lower class whites and minorities.  Rogero was never challenged in the mayors race.  She came somewhat close to beating our current governor when he was mayor.  Haslam is country club republican and gave her a prime job in the city after the election enabling her to walk into the mayors office the next election.  Why Haslam continues to include democrats in his political success is beyond me.  He is still doing it in Nashville.

The flip side is Knox County which is far more powerful and larger than the city of Knoxville and it is overwhelmingly republican/conservative.  The Knox Co mayor will probably be our next governor.

  6. Yep, let's continue to alienate enough folks so that their pols become convinced that an anti-gun congressional vote won't cost them their next election. Shrewd tactic.

The antis write too, ya know, particularly the pissed off ones, and the pols are influenced by polls, especially ones they may be contracting privately targeting their own fiefdoms constituencies.

I know you mean well but your method just flat out doesn't work.

  7. The NRA should go after the gun grabbers with both fist flying.  The weakling PR battle will always be lost by our side as long as 93% of the national media are democrat.  Forget the PR.  We don't have to win the hearts and minds of NY soccer moms and Manhattan/DC liberal elites.  We will NEVER win them over.  We only have to win a few wishy washy law makers that belong to the so called "moderate" wing of both parties.

The weakness tactic has lost the two last presidential elections.  Appeasement clearly doesn't work and trying to fight a PR battle that we have already lost is just flat out bad strategy and assures us a loss of our 2nd amenment freedoms.

  8. If you want to see some insane prices one should glance at the classifieds here.  There is a common used pistol in there with a asking price $250-$350 higher than the brand new pistol at several LGS's in my area.

  9. I was issued a sig 229 and yes they require more lube than say... a glock.  With a thin gun oil like remoil my 229 would barely fire 50 rds before it would start failing to go into battery.  With grease on the rails (or a better gun oil like breakfree) it would shoot hundreds of rounds without a problem.  Sigs are like ar15's.  They prefer to be run "wet".  In comparison glocks and DA revolvers are more suited to run almost dry.

To the original question I do think the older European made Sigs are better made than the new sigs full of elcheapo MIM parts.

I think the 220 and 226 are two of the best fighting handguns ever made.

  10. Also I'm not so sure that you "as a business owner" "invite" me on your property.  I would imagine once you hang an open sign and unlock the door you are allowing public visitation to certain degree.  You have the right to cancel that at any time but it is hardly an "invitation only" type of affair.

I owned a small business that had quite a few unsavory customers that I could have lived without but I never frisked them before they came into my business/kingdom.

  11. Have you googled "glock low left"?  When you do you will get hundreds of hits explaining finger position in relation to the glock trigger and how to fix it.

Some typical causes of glock low left syndrome:

too much shooting hand grip pressure

    not enough finger on trigger

curling trigger finger insteading of straight back pressure

  12. Low and left with a glock is very typical regarless of model and has nothing to do with hand size or fit.  It will go away after you get used to the trigger I promise you.  The glock trigger takes some getting used to for sure.  The glock 21 is a very accurate gun.

  13. Why do people care what the price is?  If you don't like the price don't buy it.  I think things are way out of hand but it is not my place to question what others ask for in return for the goods they are selling.  Also, an auction is hardly a place for common sense.  I have seen old men spend $800 for $200 guns at estate auctions with a crap eating grin on their face thinking they really made fools out of the crowd.

Have you ever heard of "willing seller, willing buyer" or "fair market value"?  It is the foundation of financial freedom.  The other end of the spectrum is government controlled socialism such as price fixing.

While overpricing a product shows ignorance of the market what I find far more irritating is the reluctance or disdain of the seller to lower a price.  Some people act like you told them they have ugly kids when you offer lower than the asking price.
