E-file form1 for SBR timeline.
Luke E. replied to maroonandwhite's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
It HAS been happening. A few in this thread have mentioned it and I know a guy outside of TGO that got everything approved at once. One of the three was only 2-3 weeks old. I'm not holding my breath but it's impossible. -

Well hopefully this means mine will be approved in the next couple of weeks. Maybe this is getting a bit greedy but I'm hoping that they'll go ahead and approve my suppressor while they're at it so that I can have them at the same time. -

I think it depends on which person gets you in their "stack". Gomer Pile ordered his suppressor before me by like 2 weeks and from the same shop yet my form 3 was approved 2 or more weeks before his I think. Hopefully yours will come through soon! -

Nope, I haven't called for a status check. I figure it'd be a waste of time to worry about doing that until I get closer to the tracker estimated time. My form 4 was submitted on 5/7 and the check was cashed on 5/19 so I'm a ways off. When did they finally get your form 4 submitted? -

Have you heard anything about your form 4? -

I also got notice a few weeks ago that the check for my form 4 had been cashed. Hopefully that'll be approved in another 3 months. -

Not sure who you were asking but I efiled with trust. -
Rob, judging by you posts over time I've taken the idea that you're more into the primitive than modern but I'll offer anyways I've got an AR in 300 blackout that I'd be happy for you to drag along with you. As for hog friendly (actually unfriendly) optics, I've got an EoTech and a 1-4x Nikon both of which have treated me good hunting hogs. If you're interested in something like that just let me know.

Yep. I saw that as well. Form ones have been trending upwards but it looks like paper form fours have remained steady. I'm still thinking my form 4 will end up getting approved before my form 1. I'd like to think the efiled form 1's plateaued and we'll catch it on its way back down but it have my doubts. -

Has a small issue yesterday in Cookville!

We I hope none of us TGO folks ever draw the fire or crazy Al. I will say, I can run all the way across my house in 2-3 seconds. I'm in no way second guessing your actions because everyone made it home safe and sound and it sound like the only one that had elevated BP was your fur baby so I'd say you acted exactly right for the situation you were in. I would suggest not mentioning how clear headed you were if you ever have to pull the trigger. An attorney or DA could point out that no one in fear for their life would be clear headed with normal BP. I'm guessing you're more than aware of that. I'm very glad things worked out so well for you, sir! -

When we were testing the scenario I was able to move in and and prevent the "gun" from being drawn or at least gain control of the wrist before they were able to get the sights on me from a surprising (to me) distance. But one thing that kinda mucked up this test was the fact that I knew exactly what the guy with the "gun" was going to attempt and I was only concerned with that one aspect so I would have to assume that an actual bad guy would have a heck of a lot more going through his or her mind than I did. All that factored in, it was still an enlightening practice scenario and something that everyone that carries should try at least once. -

Just curious, BG, how close we're you to these guys? After flashing your pistol, if the group had rushed you, would you have been able to clear your holster before they got to you? A group of us, using an air soft pistol, tried drawing on someone that was standing different distances away as soon as they attempted to rush in and most would be very surprised at the distance needed in order to get your pistol clear of a holster before the aggressor gets to you. It varied heavily depending on the person trying to draw and the one trying to move in but best case scenario, if I remember correctly, was about 15' and was as much as 25' with one "good guy with gun/bad guy with knife" combo. -
I'm trying to remember the exact difference but I'm pretty sure Single barrel in (this is the obvious part) all from one barrel rather than them mixing several barrels from different areas in the storage barn/building. Then next thing was that the barrels that the Single Barrel is from are all stored up on the top floor of the building where there temperature variance is much greater than the floors closer to the ground. This makes a big difference because as the temp changes, the whiskey is actually absorbed into the wood that the barrel is made of and then when it cools down at night it is released from the wood. Since the barrels are made of Oak and the inside of them charred, the more the whiskey is absorbed and released, the more of that charred Oak flavor the will be in the whiskey. Seems like there were a few othe subtle differences but I can't remember them off the top of my head but I am pretty sure what I wrote above is what the tour guide told us about the Single Barrel line. If you even find yourself near Lynchburg of wanting a day trip destination I would highly suggest the JD Distilley tour. EDIT; just realized that this post had many many pages so if someone else already covered what I said above..... My bad

I don't use CFE223 but I do use pull down 842 powder from David which according to him and most others is very close to CFE223. One day I'll pick up a pound and load up some identical loads with the exception being half with 842 and half with CFE223 to see how close they really are.. Anyways, I've gotten off into the weeds here, assuming that they are quite close I will say that I load pretty much use 24.6gr of 842 in any of my 55gr loads. A friend and I came up with this load after quite a bit of testing and when loading up in increments we pretty much always hit our best accuracy at this point and have more than acceptable and consistent velocity. I can't remember off the top of my head what the exact velocity was on the various rounds nor can I remember the exact SD and ES but it has consistently been a great load in pretty much any rifle that we've run it in. The highest powered optic I have on any of my AR's is a 4 power so with my eyes trying to shoot tiny 100yd groups is like pissin' in the wind but through a Rem 700 with a 12 power scope this load will consistently shoot sub mao groups and even with the low or no powered optics on my AR's I still get sub moa groups quite regularly and one of those has around 10,000 rounds down the pipe.. I guess my point is, I have never had my best accuracy at or near max data so like others have said, save yourself the waisted powder and wear on your brass and rifles. If the load you have does everything you ask of it in any rifle you have to run it through,,, play ball!!!

Those are beautiful! I'm loving my knife that GT made for me so far and have been planning out the next one I'd like him to make. I agree, the wood grips look great!

Yea, this is my first rodeo so I don't have a clue what to expect when checking the status. Seems like I've seen some folks here mention having checked and seeing things like "pending" and such but that's as deep as my knowledge is on the matter. -

Now it will truly be a surprise! i just got an email from Silencer Shop stating that the form 3 for my suppressor was approved and they gave me a tracking number to track it. It's being sent to On-Target so should be there by the first of the week. I paid and emailed my trust to them on March 20th so it took 48 days for the form 3. When I purchases they felt certain it would take 4 weeks or 5 tops so wait times have definitely gone up. They said 3-4 months on my form 4 so I'm guessing the wait time will have increased on that as well. I haven't checked my form 1 status yet but it's only been about a week now so I can't imagine that there's anything to see yet. -

Sounds like you're good to go! I hope you have a quick turn around and you're approved.
