  1. I have questions. When will we receive the name and is the deadline on Christmas or is is it sooner?

Looks like last year names were sent out around the 22-23rd of November. I'll try to get them out on or before then.

We'll set the deadline for Christmas. Earlier the better though. Past couple of years I think most folks had gotten theirs out by the second week of December.

  2. It's that time of year again folks! We're starting a little later than normal, but if you are interested in participating in this year's Secret Santa please reply in this thread! I'll give it a week or two for folks that don't check TGO everyday and then I'll PM everyone with the name of their recipient.

    Let's do this!

Anyone who ops into secret santa will be given a name at random of another forum member to purchase a gift for. Please keep it to yourself prior to giving it to them! Part of the fun is the mystery!

I believe we have used a $25 cap on gifts the past couple years, but I dunno. Do you guys want a "soft" cap on presents or just leave it up to the gifter? I know I personally usually have a hard time keeping to it. Presents do not obviously have to be firearms related.

  4. I'd rather see it in the 227 model. If it's gonna be that big if prefer larger capacity too.

Oh don't worry. If there is one thing gun companies love doing, it's stretching out chamberings from year to year so they don't have to come up with anything truely new.

  5. I wonder if all the panic buying worked against the gun industry like Cash For Clunkers worked against the automobile industry. It stirred up artificial demand and suppliers ramped up and got stuck sitting on inventory after the frenzy was over?

This. The industry has been a lot slower than normal over the last year I'd say, and we've been seeing a lot of places hurting some even closing up altogether from it.

Click on memory at the top. Scroll down a bit until you see the Speed section on the right hand side. Click show all and place a check mark by the DDR2 memory/speed that you like. Sort by price.

It's an extremely useful tool when finding parts and building a system. The site can check for compatibility errors so you don't end up mistakenly buying something that isn't going to fit your system.

Edit: I should also add to keep an eye on the modules too, since you are looking for 1x 2GB stick and not 2x 1GB.

  7. I know a guy who had a girlfriend. He bought a house for them after they had a baby. They played one of those online games don't remember which one. They were in the same guild/clan with some other people. She wound up talking to a guy in their group. Left the BF and the baby and moved out of state to live with the guy from online. Serious. She wasn't bad looking either I bet if I really pressed the issue I could have hit it but sometimes you got to listen to the big head.

    It happens a lot, unfortunately.
