Howdy Todd and Welcome to TGO!!!

I am not a Glock fan either but I did pick up a G48. Best Glock I have ever had. Fits me well and after a little work very nice trigger, shoot very well. Doesn't feel like a Glock, feels more like a polymer 1911 type pistol in my hand.

Yep, was aware. LGS has posters up. Always nice to get a discount.

Just a FYI. Ghost inc. has dropped the prices on the reduced firing pin springs and reduced power safety plunger springs so with shipping they are under $9.00.

Too bad he is still breathing. He will not change on his own, needs some help!

A firearm does not have to be "REGISTERED" in Tennessee. You can legally (if not in violation of certain laws) buy from a individual/store or gun shop in Tennessee. You do not at this time have to fill out a 4473 (federal form) if buying from an individual. The permit issued by Tennessee is called a HCP - Handgun Carry Permit.

Picked up one about a month ago and like it. Had Truglo H3 sights put on it. It had a 7 to 7.5 pound trigger and the rough Glock trigger face. Well this is the first Glock I have decided to mod. I used fine wet/dry paper to smooth the trigger face and make the trigger safety lever even with the trigger when the trigger is pulled. I polished the metal internals with 500/1000/2000 grit polish compound and polishing wheell . The polishing dropped the trigger pull down about a pound due to removing some very rough edges. You will get rough edges on stamped metal. I then replaced the striker spring with a Ghost INC. 4.5 pound spring and the safety plunger spring with a Ghost INC. reduced power spring. This reduce the pull down to 4.5 pounds. This is the best and cheapest way to reduce the trigger pull. All this cost me $10.23 for the Ghost springs and has given me a good trigger and is much easier for me to shoot accurately. I have shot the pistol after each mod to see what improved and what needs more improvement. I have gotten to the point where I am very happy with this pistol for carry. I now have about 1,450 rounds thru it.

Update to my Glock 48. Mine is the duo tone model. Did a polish on internals and smoothed the trigger surface down so it is not so rough feeling. Put in a reduced firing pin spring (4.5 pounds) and a reduced firing pin safety spring. Ended up with a very decent 4.5-5.0 trigger pull that is smooth and breaks good. I have been practicing a lot with the Glock and find it shoots better for me than any other Glock.

I have used those type of shotguns pulling guard duty in the Army. Scary when looking at the end with hole in it!

I could not pick it out of a striker fired pistol line up. Hope it is a good one.

You go with the best you can, even if you did not design it!

I use plugs and muffs, no such thing as too much protection when around very loud noises. Peltor is the brand I use. As for glasses I use a pair with soft ear pieces and the seems to help. All I have.

The times aren't strange, the people are strange! Some folks need a full time keeper.

As individuals and as a church do what you can but he must seek help before it will do him any good. Stay safe and alert.

I have the Dou Tone G48 and it is not showing any wear from carry or cleaning. I believe the silver color is a better finish.

Did you clean the firing pin and firing pin channel? Mine was dirty. If you fire 100 more rounds and still have the problem contact SIG.
