    carry handgun

You will have to find what fits you and feels good. I have gone with the GLOCKs, a 23 and 27 in 40 S&W, they work for me but may not for you. If you find something you like above your price line then save up for it, otherwise you probably will not be happy for settling for something less.
  2. Howdy and Welcome to TGO. This is a really fine site!
  3. Right now semi auto handgun. It's a GLOCK or two!
  4. Also clean the chamber area before going back to long rifle ammo. The shorter ammo can leave a ring of crud and lead in front of their case.
  5. You will probably find more brands and models at a gun show but a better deal at a store.
  6. I went today, Saturday. $10 entrance fee, can get a $1 off coupon from their web site. The show is better than the Goodman show, I haven't been to a Pope show in ages so I don't know about them. The thing I dislike about guns shows is having to disarm. If the U.S. ARMY had me carry and the state of Tennessee allows me to carry then why should I have to disarm to go to a gun show?
  7. There is a couple of good shops in the Clarksville area. Do a web search for gun stores in middle Tennessee.
  8. THIS LOAD IS FOR MY HANDGUNS ONLY, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. NO ONE BUT YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR HANDLOADS! Mine is 40 S&W. I like Rainier or Berry 165gr (heavy plated) hollow points. I like the concave area on the base of Rainier bullets. I use various brass and whatever primers I have on hand. I love Hodgdon Longshot powder for this round and use 7.5gr for almost all loads. I find this load to be accurate, clean and easy to make with minimum equipment. The OAL is very important in my firearms, I load near Min OAL. I also like this load with 180gr Rainier and Berry bullets of the same type. The handguns I use this load in are GLOCKs, 23 and 27. What is your favorite handload and what firearm do you use it in? Have more than one, post them.
  9. Howdy and Welcome to TGO. As to the GLOCK 19, which generation, mags, case and oringinal pieces? Usually 15% to 20% below new, depending. You will probably make more on a private sell than trade or selling to a dealer.
  10. How about no, it's illegal to take our firearms.
  11. I use Don Hume IWB or JIT for my GLOCK 23 and 27. Works very well.
  12. I had one, traded it off because it wasn't a 40 S&W. Mine was a Bersa Thunder .380 and work great from day one. Mags are expensive but they worked, it would shoot any and everything, I even reloaded for it and never had a malfunction. Smallest platform I could hold comfortably.
  13. Howdy Norm (flashback from Cheers) and welcome to TGO
  14. My Compaq is a couple of years old now. I don't like the way they put a OS on a system and do not give the buyer a real choice of OS or programs.
  15. I love my COUNTRY but not it's government, or any government for that matter.
  16. Howdy, pull up a seat and get comfortable. Welcome to TGO
  17. Just make sure it fits you in a caliber you can shoot well.
  18. Check out Tennessee Gun Country in Clarksville. 1525-C Ft. Campbell Blvd, 931-552-2118. Also check out the sponsors list here. First time with the 506th INF. was in '73, Currahee!
  19. I will try to go on Saturday morning, haven't been to one in awhile.
  20. I had an M-16A1 blow up on me once, bad blank ammo. Tore the weapon into two parts at the upper/lower receiver.
  21. Howdy and Welcome to TGO
  22. Will your new puter allow you to load something besides what came on it? I have tried to load a different version of XP on my Compaq and it will not let me.
