  4. I bought a Ruger 9 mm using moon clips several months ago. Someone on this site told me that I could use the end caps of PVC piping to hold loaded ammo. It worked great.

    New Revolver

I just bought a Ruger SP 101 sa/da in 9mm. Fun to shoot. Good for winter carry or car carry. The only negative, it uses moon clips. First revolver for me with moon clips. I don't think i like them.
  9. Grandson has one on his G43. He is happy with it.

  13. My wife was reading the paper tonight about the shootings at schools. One was a girl that took a pistol in her backpack, dropped the backpack, and the gun fired. i didn't think that was supposed to happen. Am i wrong? Does anyone know the type or model of pistol involved?

    Ruger or S&W

I have been thinking of buying a 38/357 short barrel revolver. I am thinking of a Ruger or a S&W. I could use some advice (pros and cons) of each brand etc. thanks.

Does anyone have a H&K VP9? What do you think of it? How does it compare to a Glock 19?
  16. I keep getting a popup that ask if i would like to receive notifications. no matter how i answer the popup comes back. i am using firefox.
  17. We tried the Alamo several months back. It was not that good, just avg. May have been a bad night. We like Peddler in Gatlinberg. but it is expensive.
  18. The Nikon D7100 is the top of the line for crop sensor cameras. I have one. But ..... you need AF-S lens. I have some old lenses that I used years ago and they are not good for the new cameras. therefore take your lenses to a camera shop and have them review what would be usable with the newer cameras. The full frame cameras like the D810 are good, but are expensive. Also before long you will want to become a photoshop user.  I use one memory card for a JPG and the other for a RAW copy of the photos that I take. I miss the old days when I spent most of my time with manual adjustments and the film type selections.
