  1. They are one of the better priced dealers in the area.
  2. Well paid my constitutional rights activation fee today. $127 out the door. Wednesday I go for fingerprints. Then I wait
  3. I shot my 1911 out the back door. Once. Never again without ear pro
  4. This has me thinking about good hear through style ear muffs.. maybe with a bluetooth/fm radio function so I can use them at work on the flightline as well
  5. All guns are designed to kill, something.   Some are better at it than other, but the genesis of firearms was in battle to kill the enemy more effectively.   Humans being the crafty creatures we are discovered the practical and sporting applications in due time.   I'll end the caliber debate. Anyone who thinks a certain caliber is a crap round, volunteers to take said round to the chest, or at a minimum the thigh...    Ive yet to have takers all the way down to 22LR
  6. I am active military with an Ohio Drivers Licence.  I live/work in Tennessee so I do meet the requirements.   I took the HCP class today but had to fill out the "long form" (as the instructor refferred to it)  as I couldn't do the online deal through the state website as I have an out of state licence.   I am going to the DL service center in Clarksville in the morning. How long will I likely ACTUALLY be waiting?   As for the class I took it was great, I learned a few things in spite of having 15+years of shooting under my belt.   I took the class for $32 at Clarksvile Guns and Archery for those who want to know. Josh was my instructor.
  7. I'm starting to get really enthusiastic about the idea of a 380/9mm pocket pistol(revolver maybe?) and a 357 da revolver with a 4" barrel.
  8. If I go for a pocket gun, I like the LC9-s alot.    I see wheel guns getting ALOT of mention.
  9. I'll clarify a bit, it doesn't need to do all 3 at the same time, but it would be nice if it did 2 at the same time. There is something fun about the idea of a 22LR pistol even if it could only truly be a range toy..
  10. The HiPower gets some interest because of my interest in old/surplus guns.
  11. ON that front I have: 30-06 M1 Garand 5.56 AR15 (Mag Tactical AIR 15 Recon) 30-30 lever gun .22 Savage model 4
  12. A 357 revolver sounds interesting.   I almost went for the G19, but decided I liked the Taurus about the same, for less money. The M+Ps are REALLY nice. Super comfy.   G19 is a great pistol though.     Between the GP100 and SW686, which has a nicer trigger?
  13. From a stance of home defense/concealed carry/range toys what would you add to this group?   .45 Sig 1911 Rail fullsize  9MM Taurus PT111 G2  .380  Walther PK380   Just curious what you guys would add to this collection, perhaps it'll inspire me to add one of your suggestions.   Remember, this is for fun.
  14. This is the only marking I could find on the barrel
  15. No idea who made the barrel. Just know its nitrided 5.56 barrel with a 1:8 twist
  16. I am planning on a  more scientific range day soon with pictures and measurements
  17. I know you are asking because of the lightweight barrel. There is no accuracy change that I can't blame on ammo or my technique after multiple shots. I'm confident I'm every bit as accurate with this as I am the M4 at work.
  18. Yes the first AR I've owned. Been shooting uncle sam's version for 11 years though. It's mostly completed my gun collection. I no longer have any other guns I NEED for specific purposes.
  19. I just picked up this Mag TActical AIR15   I've put about 300rds through it. Zero issues so far. The nitrided and Cerakoted parts make cleanup a breeze.   I dont really know what to say about it, so feel free to ask away!!!
  20. In case no one wants to read, I'll start with pictures.
  21. You may not consider a Sig 1911 or PK380 problematic, but if you searched any reviews of them you swear they are paper weights and that Sig and Walther don't even have a customer service number. Thats what I was kind of referring to, its crazy out here on the internet.....haha.    Thanks on the congratulations, I'm loving these things, I also recently acquired a Taurus PT111 G2... haven't went shooting yet though.
  22. So far I have purchased two pistols that the Internet has said won't work/will be unreliable / etc. I cleaned them upon receiving them and lubricated them. Hundreds of rounds later not a single malfunction. .. My theory is lubrication is important. The pistols in question are a Sig 1911 and a Walther PK380 Anyone else have any similar stories?
  23. I'm considering rebarreling/rechambering my M1 to 308/7.62. I was hoping someone might be able to direct to someone local that can give me advice/do the work that has a good reputation with this rifle type.
