  1. Will do. :-) Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  2. Dolomite - sorry - no advertising intended, just wanted to share what was on my mind. I didn't supply any class or contact info on purpose for that very reason.
  3. I'm pretty stoked. I've been teaching beginner friends and family for a while now, and finally got certified to teach the class. Now rather than send them to a class for the paper, I can do it myself.
  4. School Name:              TN Safe Carry Location:                      Rutherford County, Tennessee Primary Instructor:      Solomon Modjeska HCP Class Cost:          $80.00 Website:                       http://tnsafecarry.com Phone number:           615.267.3707
  5. Just my $.02 - I own the Springfield XD45 Compact, and have been very pleased with it. Having said that, I bought a Springfield EMP40, and have not carried anything else since. I would recommend looking into a commander length 1911, or a single stack polymer .45 (XDs, Kahr, etc.) - for civilian every day carry, the thickness of the gun really matters, more than you realize.   My next purchase will be a commander length 1911 in .45 ACP, and will probably be my EDC.
  6. I'm pretty sure that Mythbusters is licensed. I remember reading something about it when they accidentally put a cannon ball through someone's house. -Spammy
  7. I have experience with the Lyman 55 and the Hornady. Both were consistent and predictable. Never had to reset either one after dialing in a powder weight charge. I believe that the RCBS Uniflow is nearly identical to the Hornady.   Having said that, using either the micrometer or metering inserts in the Hornady makes caliber changes almost instantaneous. I still weigh the first few charges, but I've never had to adjust after swapping metering inserts.   I don't think you can go wrong with Lyman, Hornady, RCBS, or Redding.
  8. My experience with concealed carry is that the first week, I felt like I had a watermelon strapped to my hip and everyone could see it. Over time, that feeling goes away, but the other thing I've noticed is that carrying does make me less confrontational. Not that I was a hothead to begin with, but I'm aware that my approach to situations has changed. I'm not going to escalate things that don't matter, and things that do matter are handled with a lot of discretion.   Just my $.02
  9. Greetings,   I've been a resident of Tennessee for over twenty years, and a handgun owner / shooter for longer than that. I'm a member of several other forums (you may have seen my handle on them before), but just found this one, and want to participate/contribute to the community.
