  1. I haven't taken the one from Tactical Response, but that is about the normal price for a 2-day AR armorer course.  I took mine from Defensive Edge, and it was only $75 cheaper.  There were some people in my class that were doing it for work, and others that just took it just to properly learn the workings of their rifles.  So, I say take it if you want.  You will find it interesting and informative.
  2. Yes, Glocks can rust.  You really have to work at it, but you can do it.
  3. You are considered a resident of TN once you establish a residence and start living in the state.  From that date, you have 6 months to get your TN Handgun Carry Permit.  You can carry on your Indiana carry permit during that 6 month time.   Info ==> http://www.tn.gov/safety/handgun/reciprocity.shtml
  4.   This.  I would love to get a couple of more of their BCGs.
  5. Yes, that is normal.  AR style rifles have a free-floating firing pin, so it is normal for the pin to lightly strike the primer when the round is chambered.  It does not hit it hard enough to cause the round to discharge.   ETA:  There is no spring that goes on the firing pin.
  6. Never seen a posting a Burger Republic, but as others have said, you don't want to carry there since you could not enjoy the great beer selection they have.  That place has great burgers!  Thankfully, I only live about 2 minutes away.
  7.   They are not scared of us in the least, because We the People keep re-electing them over and over again.  We need to do away with career politicians that become so powerful, they are almost unstoppable.  I really wish the state would get together for a Constitutional Convention, and impose term limits on Congress.  Not going to happen, though.
  8. For some reason, people will believe anything they read on the internet.  Unfortunately, it is not limited to iPhone users, just look around at some of the idiotic internet stuff that gets posted here on TGO.  Hey, the internet says it, so it must be true!
  9. I knew this would eventually happen.  Granted, Starbucks has not banned guns from their establishments.........yet.  But they have now made it clear that they do not want to see guns in their stores.  Banning them outright will be the next step if we don't lay off them.   I hope all the open-carry attention whores are happy.
  10.   Hmm, that's odd.  No mention of forged uppers on their website.
  11.   CMT only makes one kind........a billet upper.
  12.   Yeah, I figured the staircase would be expensive......and at the usual 15 steps, that is big chunk of change right there.  The carpeting upstairs is starting to look bad, and will need replacement soon.  So I would just as soon put down hardwood than re-carpet the floor.   I am just afraid that I will run into the same problem about matching the existing hardwood.  I chose the flooring from the builder's samples, so I have no idea of the manufacturer or item#.  I does look similar in color and grain to the pictures you posted.
  13. I used to be in Blackburn's district, but got shifted over to Cooper's after the recent redistricting.  Not complaining too much, as I now get to vote against Cooper.
  14. Man, now I really want to do the rest of my townhouse in hardwood flooring.  I had the entire first floor done while it was being built, and afterward wished I had the staircase and 2nd floor bedrooms done as well.
  15. I will take 2 lowers (consecutive serial #'s if possible), and 2 uppers.
  16. Never used Sam's Club, but I do have a Costco membership.  I have been very happy with them.  No complaints at all.
  17. I just use an Excel spreadsheet on my computer.  Very easy to make any changes, then I just print a copy for safekeeping.
  18. The speed of getting your transfer processed greatly depends on the how much UPS/FedEx delivers to them.  If they get 30 or 40 boxes delivered per day, your transfer will probably be a while before they get to it.  Of course, this only happens with larger gun shops.  A smaller shop won't get that many deliveries, but they may have less people to do all the jobs around there.  You just have to use common sense.   That being said, 3 days seems excessive, unless there is some kind of problem with the transfer.  If it is a large gun shop, I would give them until the next day to get it in.  Just don't be the guy guy that calls up 30 minutes after UPS/FedEx shows delivery wanting to know if the gun is ready.  That is called being annoying, and probably won't speed up the process.
  19.   Thank you, my friend.   I got some damn good training once from a couple of guys at CIS.
  20. I already own two CMT lowers, so I will definitely be in for another two (2) TGO lowers (consecutive serial numbers).  And matched uppers, as well, if we go that route.
  21. We got a system like this for my elderly mother who still lives alone.  She carried the activator on a necklace.  About a month or so after we installed it, my mother fell in her bedroom and could not get back up.  She used it, and it worked great.  The call center notified my sister and called the local EMS, and the ambulance was at my mom's house within 5 minutes.  Luckily she was not injured, aside from some bruises.   It was money well spent.
  22. Yes.  You will have to remove the barrel and take off the delta ring assembly/barrel nut, and re-install the barrel with the DD barrel nut.  But, yes, it will work.   Edit:  Ha!  Slpeod beat me to the punch!
