  1. Sounds to me like a potential way to get shot by a good guy with a real carry weapon........just sayin'  :2cents:   Believe I shall pass thank you very much.
  2. I have a Gen 4 26, 27 and 31. No problems with any of them. The 26 or 27 are my regular CC weapons.
  3. I pocket carry a Sig 238 and for me it works quite well.
  4. It's unfortunate our society has changed to where being kind to strangers can become an invitation to an assault. No one knows what a people are going to do out in public but when a stranger comes to my door my senses go on full alert. I never open the door to anyone I don't know and have dogs and protection available at all times. Better safe and apologetic than getting a butt whoopin' by trying to "help" some crazy person.
  5. Welcome to the wonderful world of Glock addiction. Good choices!
  6. I own several Taurus guns; a 9mm, 44mag, 38 snubby, .380 and a Raging Judge 410/45lc. Only had one problem with the .380 and it was fixed quickly and returned in excellent order plus I got 2 free extra magazines for my trouble. The Judge is always with me on the farm. I know Taurus has been through some rough times but IMHO they work well.
  7. I ride a HD Road King and carry a SIG M11A1 or a G26 or G27 in a Crossbreed IWB holster. I like those holsters very much
  8. I have the XDM 5.25 in 9mm, 40 and 45 and they are ALL excellent shooting weapons. I've put about 400 rounds through each so far with no problems at all. Well......the only problem was I ran out of ammo and had to order more
  9. I have the same S&W and LOVE it!!!!! I've had a couple of head knockers as well but over all a very nice shooting gun. Nice set of toys
  10. Dear Banned Poster; The mother ship will be hovering over your place of residence at high noon. Pack your belongings including your tin foil hat and x-ray glasses for the ride of your lifetime. Email if you get work.
  11.   Ditto here. I have 3 and love them.
  12. For me, concealed means concealed. I don't openly promote the fact I am armed nor do not care to paint a bulls eye on my back. I carry for protection, not promotion or advertisement. Regarding an underage individual possessing a weapon I would certainly bring that to the proper authorities attention.
  13. My doors are always locked, my dogs alert to every unknown sound, and yes, when I hear an unexpected knock on my door day or night I approach the door with weapon at the ready (concealed from plain view). I never so much as crack the door without asking who they are. If it sounds like a legitimate person I still make them walk down the porch and hold their ID up to a window so I can get a look at the ID and the person. I have no problem politely asking them to leave if I have no interest in what they are there for; sometimes not so politely if they argue or refuse to leave and I will never hesitate to make a non emergency call to LEO's reporting a suspicious person in the neighborhood. Friends know me well enough to let me know they are dropping by even if they call from my driveway. Just common sense in my humble opinion.
  14. There is no cure..............happily
  15. I travel to KY on many occasions and have had no problems. The link peejman posted is a good resources for details.
  16. I have a Tracker in 44 MAG and it's one of my favorite guns. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me.
  17. I recently added a Kimber Pro Crimson Carry II to my collection and am looking for opinions/experience with site options. It came with the low profile Kimber sites but my question is whether or not to consider adding mepro night sites or another brand of night sites. I found the Crimson Trace laser easy to use and after a bit of tweaking have it zeroed in at 10 yards so shooting the "light" isn't a problem. Some of my other weapons have night sites installed and I like them a lot but I'm looking for feedback on pros and or cons for using them with a laser. Thanks in advance for the input!

    P238

I own a P238 Tribal Rosewood; it's a daily companion and has been for quite as while. I carry it cocked and locked in a pocket holster no printing issues and no one notices it's there.
  19. I own a couple of these and wear them often. They are a bit pricey but for the level of concealment they provide with a large gun they are worth it to me.
  20. When it's a pocket carry day it's either my Sig P238 or Taurus PT738.
  21. I carry a G26, G27 or one of my other weapons in an IWB holster when not in the car and like jbravo I keep a backpack on the passenger seat with my weapon at the ready whenever I am driving. That whole biker thing puts self defense while driving in a new light. I have looked at some of the straps/holsters that fasten to the steering column as another option; but as long as I can reach my protection I feel comfortable.
