  1. At what point are you mounting a rifle to the scope?
  2. Add one more part to this good description. There is a single stack adapter for the double stack maglula: "Butler Creek "Maglula 1911 loader Insert For The UpLULA & 22UpLULA - 1911AI". It works well on Sig P938 and HiPoint singles. Saves hands with arthritis. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Maglula-1911AI-Aligner-Insert-for-UpLULA-22UpLULA-Pistol-Mag-Loaders-UP65G-/361988041355?epid=1825217683&hash=item54482b2a8b:g:AhQAAOSwjL5ZJFPM

    Ok Sig

Mine has been very good as well. There is an issue with the two piece guide rod I heard about yesterday, but mine seems OK.
  4. This is one crotchety old man that looked at two pages and called BS.  $130 (so far) for a HiPoint 380.
  5. Years ago a friend of mine lived off Hwy 96, just outside Dickson city limits.  He received a couple visits from Dickson police but received no citation as he was in County jurisdiction.  However, he decided he didn't want further attention.   Who decides what is an "unsafe manner"?
  6.     Try this coupon code:  BRADSHIP  Free Shipping No Minimum (excludes firearms)
  7. The Smith & Wesson M&P9c has a 3.5 inch barrel.  Most manufacturer data are tested with a 4 inch barrel.  shootingthebull410 has done some testing using a 3 inch barrel Sig P938.  The shorter barrel and resulting lower velocity affect the expansion and penetration.  You might find his work interesting and compare with the Lucky Gunner data..  He likes the Fed HST best, but several others are close, not necessarily the traditional self defense rounds FROM THE 3 INCH BARREL.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iA7FTjmLiQQ&list=PLgNSGOEQko_M90AMdRCDMgd-w4Yozc27i
  8. Thanks for the info.  Another good reason to live in TN!
  9. What's this Registered crap?  "more than 5,000 guns have been registered"
  10. I sent mine back to Winchester.  I'll keep you posted.  By the way, my email was unanswered after 9 days so I called them and left a message.  They returned the call within two hours.   UPDATE:  After 6 weeks I did receive a check from Olin (Winchester), although I would rather have received replacement ammo.  I do have o give them credit for making it right.    I never seem to get to the places that have .22LR for less than $10 per round so I will be shooting 9mm for a while.
  11. Thanks for the heads up.  I forgot to mention I had already checked those (only two lot numbers) and mine are not covered there.
  12. I recently found a 1000 round box at Wally World, after not seeing any .22 for over a year.   I started out loading up my Heritage Rough Rider, All 6 rounds fired but 5 of the 6 spent casings would not eject from the cylinder.  I ended up removing the cylinder and using a rod and small hammer to drive them out.  Same results for the next 6.  None of these were snug when loading.  This revolver has 500 rounds through it with out problems using Federal HP,  Winchester HP and some Aguilla.  I am afraid to try this in anything else.  I sent Winchester an email but have not had a response as yet.  Do I have bad ammo or just a compatibility issue here?  I would like your input.
  13. I will wait a while in case this ends up like Dell, Hemlock Semi Conductor and some others.  That being said I welcome them and look forward to a tour.  TN resident discount? Outlet store?
  14. http://www.usacarry.com/concealed_carry_permit_reciprocity_maps.html Florida Res Permits Only: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wyoming   This would seem to say that TN (and many others) honors only RESIDENT permits from FL  I am not lawyer or LEO and will not add my personal opinion.
  15. My old hands don't like long/stiff triggers either.  Try a Sig P938 sport with the Hogue rubber grips.
  16. If the idiots are in loud F150s is that weaving in and out acceptable?  I have had some of these endanger my life with stupid actions.  I am against all of the idiots, even if they drive a Prius.  Condemn stupidity not the choice of vehicle.  As a TGO member I believe you can appreciate that owning a gun doesn't make anyone a criminal, it is criminal actions with that gun that makes a criminal.  Unfortunately much of our society equates the two.
  17. I am also too old to run and too disabled to fight.  I hope some long jail sentences result, and IF one or more LEOs were involved, that goes double for them.   However, I am also a biker for over 40 years and I damn well do not act like these scum bags.   Our church has a large biker group, including more than one minister.  Please do not associate these people with the criminals in the video, and don't condemn everybody on a bike.
  18. I tried hard to like my friends CM9 as it is small enough to conceal and very reliable.  However, I didn't like the sights or the trigger, and I didn't shoot it well.  I bought a P938 sport, which is bulkier, especially with the hogue rubber grips, but I shot it well enough right away.  We all have to find our best compromise.  I had a lot of good input from TGO members.  Now for a holster.
  19. My last 10 rounds tripled the size of my grouping due to boredom as well, and still a 98. :snore:   I think if you don't shoot yourself or someone else you pass.  There was one person, had I been the instructor, I would have confiscated their pistol--yet EVERYONE passed.  It is better than AL where you send in a completed form and a check.  Two of my AL permit holder friends took the TN course because they thought it the right thing to do.
  20. Palmetto State Armory has the P938 sport 13 for $539 right now.
  21. I took my Sig P938 sport 13 to the range today.  After over 200 rounds (Win WB, Monarch brass, CCI Aluminum and Federal bulk, all 115g FMJ and BVAC 124g FMJ reman), no failures of any kind.  After some reports I have read I was concerned, but now am a happy camper.  I did break it down, and clean and lube it before going to the range.  I shot this pistol much better than a friends Kahr CM9 I tried a couple of weeks ago (100 rounds).  The Kahr is a good piece but just not for me.
  22. Larry's Pistol and Pawn in Huntsville AL has a bunch on sale for $529.  It is the Sport 13 model, very nice piece.  He had at least 8 behind the counter when I left.  They will ship to FFL for $25.
  23. Mkiii 22/45 5.5" barrel shoots great and eats anything.  Mine needs a mallet to field strip, but some are not sotight.
