  1. Welcome, from Chattanooga. I'm lazy and I lurk while not logged-in. I'm a bad forum member lol.
  2. ACRW on Mack Smith road in east ridge. He installed some ameriglo sights on my fnx 40. He got them done same day. He charges twenty a sight so 40 for front and back. He's the only master gun Smith I know of locally.
  3. Talon grips recently came out with a line of rubberized grips instead of the skateboard grips. They are precut to your guns grip. You clean your grip with alcohol swabs and then apply it, remove all bubble and heat it with a hairdryer to get the glue to set in the shape of the grip and boom you're done. It's super comfortable. The rubber feels similar to the Duratec grips on ASP batons or Gerber machetes and the like.   Edit: I should add that my first order of the Talon grips were installed incorrectly (user error!) I informed them of the problem and that I was going to purchase another set and asked if they had any other ideas that would ensure the success of my second attempt and they insisted on sending me another set for free! That's how customer service is supposed to work and it's becoming more scare in this nation. I was able to install the second set just fine. There are a few personal peeves I have with them but they're awesome overall so props to Talon Grips.   I've been a fan of the FNH pistol series for quite some time. I'm a southpaw and left eye dominant , but I like ambidexterity and I actually carry as a righty because of comfort and hand/grip differences but I am fairly comfortable on either side. It's what my friend called a, "Life Gun". It aint gettin sold lol.
  4. This happened 500 feet from my house. I was on the road headed to work as this happened. I drove through that intersection too, it's just creepy to think that could've been me in another universe.
  5. This is my carry piece. FNX-40 with Ameriglo Green/Yellow Sights and Talon Grips. I soon will be purchasing the Metal Safety Lever package from JathTech. Put about 800 rounds through it and it shoots like a dream!
  6. http://spotthestation.nasa.gov/sightings/view.cfm?country=United_States&region=Tennessee&city=Chattanooga#.Ula-FWQ1nUM   That is the forecast of the ISS. Tonight will be an exceptional sighting.      Wed Oct 9, 7:40 PM       6 min      60° 11 above SW 10 above NE
  7. Hey TGO, what's up? My name is Matt and I'm 25 years old, born and raised in Tennessee and I've lived my whole life in Chattanooga. I currently reside in East Ridge (the center of all scum and villainy in all the galaxy) and recently received my HCP. I work for a technical startup company based in Chattanooga and am pretty much an expert on the city (know-how, poi's, where to avoid, etc) I have been a member of the website for a few weeks trolling around, but haven't gotten around to posting so I figured now's a good time.   My first handgun purchase which I carry is an FNH FNX-40 two tone loaded with critical duty. I carry it in an AlienGear (cheaper but has been a good choice so far).   I plan on being fairly active and reading daily!
