What about a G27...you could use the mags from the 23 for some extra capacity if needed and get the Lonewolf 9mm conversion barrel. I have a pocket holster for mine and...depending on the size of the pockets ....works nicely.
-
+1..I carry crossdraw while driving...seatbelt out of the way...weapon is easily accessable...very confortable.
-
+1...use the serpa for my G27...position of the locking mech is correctly placed...meaning...when I draw the weapon from the holster, the trigger finger rides along the slide...OUTSIDE OF THE TRIGGER GUARD...any other position is operator error. No, its not the nicest, prettiest or most expensive holster you can buy...but the weapon is SECURE until you draw it from the holster...which makes it worth more than I paid in my opinion.

Why you middle Tennessee types can't find ammo at Wallyworld
tbuford replied to a topic in Ammunition and Reloading
EXACT same thing to me as well...bought some WWB for a camping trip but only had a box...went back on Sat and was told that there would be a shipment coming in later in the evening...wife went by there for me at 6:30....all gone before it ever hit the floor...this will cause there to be limits placed on purchases if folks start screaming to mgmt that they can never get what they need...already hear of Wally Worlds that have a 2 box pp /per day limit so others can get what they need... -

They are posted on Glocktalk as well...saw the post today and then saw the id and thought....hhhhmmmmmm....that sounds familiar! No business dealings with this person and nothing bad to say personally....just what I had read when cruising the forum...needless to say I shall pass.... -

HB 0962 Amendments--have you all read them?
tbuford replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Has anyone even looked at these amendments and considered the fact that these would have been great steps to deter criminals...but now they want to impose them to restrict a law abiding permit holder? Funny , they look at legislation and these amendments in an effort to "control" the right...but never considered them when trying to control crime.. -
payment sent for a couple!

I am looking at the same scenario with my G27....lonewolf has them for $9.99...they also have a decent price on the mags at $26.95 (G23 mag)...I think that the sleeve for the G22 and the G22 mags are the same prices if you decide to go with a 15 rd cap....it is a little too long for my tastes though...figured that 14 rds (1 in chamber and 13 in mag) would suffice...Glockstore is $11.95 and $$29.95....good luck...let me know how it turns out!

Tired of the news....wife sent this to me....enjoy! And That's When The Fight Started.... My wife and I were watching Who Wants To Be A Millionaire while we were in bed. I turned to her and said, "Do you want to have sex?" "No," she answered. I then said, "Is that your final answer?" She didn't even look at me this time, simply saying "Yes." So I said, "Then I'd like to phone a friend." And that's when the fight started.... I asked my wife, "Where do you want to go for our anniversary?" It warmed my heart to see her face melt in sweet appreciation. "Somewhere I haven't been in a long time!" she said. So I suggested, "How about the kitchen?" And that's when the fight started.... Saturday morning I got up early, quietly dressed, made my lunch, grabbed the dog, and slipped quietly into the garage. I hooked up the boat up to the truck, and proceeded to back out into a torrential downpour. The wind was blowing 50 mph, so I pulled back into the garage, turned on the radio, and discovered that the weather would be bad all day. I went back into the house, quietly undressed, and slipped back into bed. I cuddled up to my wife's back, now with a different anticipation, and whispered, 'The weather out there is terrible.' My loving wife of 10 years replied, 'Can you believe my stupid husband is out fishing in that?' And then the fight started ... A man and a woman were asleep like two innocent babies. Suddenly, at 3 o'clock in the morning, a loud noise came from outside. The woman, bewildered, jumped up from the bed and yelled at the man 'Holy ****. That must be my husband!' So the man jumped out of the bed; scared and naked jumped out the window. He smashed himself on the ground, ran through a thorn bush and to his car as fast as he could go. A few minutes later he returned and went up to the bedroom and screamed at the woman, 'I AM your husband!' The woman yelled back, 'Yeah, then why were you running?' And then the fight started..... I tried to talk my wife into buying a case of Miller Light for $14.95. Instead, she bought a jar of cold cream for $7.95. I told her the beer would make her look better at night than the cold cream. And then the fight started.... A woman was standing nude, looking in the bedroom mirror. She was not happy with what she saw and said to her husband, 'I feel horrible; I look old, fat and ugly. I really need you to pay me a compliment.' The husband replies, 'Your eyesight's damn near perfect.' And then the fight started..... I took my wife to a restaurant. The waiter, for some reason, took my order first. "I'll have the strip steak, medium rare, please." He said, "Aren't you worried about the mad cow?"" Nah, she can order for herself." And then the fight started... My wife and I were sitting at a table at my high school reunion, and I kept staring at a drunken lady swigging her drink as she sat alone at a nearby table. My wife asked, 'Do you know her?' 'Yes,' I sighed, 'She's my old girlfriend. I understand she took to drinking right after we split up those many years ago, and I hear she hasn't been sober since.' 'My God!' said my wife, 'who would think a person could go on celebrating that long?' And then the fight started... After retiring, I went to the Social Security office to apply for Social Security. The woman behind the counter asked me for my driver's license to verify my age. I looked in my pockets and realized I had left my wallet at home. I told the woman that I was very sorry, but I would have to go home and come back later. The woman said, 'Unbutton your shirt.' So I opened my shirt revealing my curly silver hair. She said, 'That silver hair on your chest is proof enough for me' and she processed my Social Security application. When I got home, I excitedly told my wife about my experience at the Social Security office. She said, 'You should have dropped your pants. You might have gotten disability, too.' And then the fight started... When I got home last night, my wife demanded that I take her someplace expensive... so, I took her to a gas station. And then the fight started... My wife was hinting about what she wanted for our upcoming anniversary. She said, 'I want something shiny that goes from 0 to 150 in about 3 seconds.' I bought her a scale. And then the fight started... My wife sat down on the couch next to me as I was flipping channels. She asked, 'What's on TV?' I said, 'Dust.' And then the fight started...

Been there many times...sighting in rifles, plinking 22's (with my 10 yr old and 15 yr old), firing handguns...never a bad experience. Check out their website...they follow the rules strictly. Eye protection, ear protection are must haves and they have some you can "rent" if you forget..all weapons must be unloaded and action open for inspection upon entering...remember, if you have your HCP, its a no-no to attempt to carry on premises! No tape for the targets...you must use tacks, which they have plenty of....have fun!

Don't get me wrong...I am as upset as the next guy about the AIG fiasco with the tax payer dollars...trips, bonuses...its a joke...but Obama voices outrage over the AIG bonuses....looks like smoke and mirrors...how hypocritical to voice such disgust at reckless spending just after placing his signature on the pork filled load of poo he calls a stimulus package... I guess that waste of tax payer dollars is okay... http://www.comcast.net/articles/news-general/20090315/AIG.Outrage/

Went by to see Jeff today...I can't say enough about how friendly and courteous he was...called ahead of time about installing some sights...walked right in and he went to work...he's got my business for sure!

That is a good idea...as was previously posted, it is really a personal decision. I carry with a Blackhawk Serpa mostly...I like the security and the retention design...which is important to me, I also have an IWB that I really don't care for due to comfort level...I carry a G27, so I may be exploring pocket holsters for the summer. Consider the attire you normally wear, if you are going to carry it on you while driving, will you feel better with a thumb-break or similar retention mech., Galco, Milt Sparks and there is a member on the Sigforum under the name of "Cowboy" that hand makes holsters...great product and very good quality and price...I think it is under Grizzly Leather is the name of his business...might be worth a look!

I have a G27 (.40 cal)...abosolutely love it....very accurate and easy to carry...it is my daily carry weapon of choice. I think the 29 and 27 are about on the same platform...capacity may be a little less...check out the Glock website for dimensions, weight, etc...

Thanks for the input...but at $0 cost...I've got nothing to lose but time...we'll give 'em a try!

Here's your chance to let the media know where the people stand, as a nation, on our attidute toward God. NBC is presently taking a poll on should "In God We Trust" stay on our American currency. Please do it right away, before NBC takes this off their web page. Poll is still open so you can vote. Click on the link below: http://www.msnbc. msn.com/id/ 10103521/
