  1. Property Value Trends (3 mo, 6 mo, 9 mo & 12mo), schools, avg $ sq ft of pending and current active listings, neighborhood demos, shopping, hospital, medical services, age of home, when was it sold and for how much, how long occupied / unoccupied, how long on the market, tax record search for existing mortgage info (helps with leveraging an offer), future development plans for surrounding area, area turnover, condition of surrounding homes / areas, plat plan to determine encroachments / easements of property.....and finally, the thing I look for when buying a home....a great agent...like myself!
  2. I have one for my 229 as well as my Glock 27. No danger of "Glock Leg"..as far as I am concerned. Trigger housing is covered, positioning of cant can be adjusted...holster stays secure...Under $45...all good combos...I have even set up my G27 for cross draw while driving...easier access without having to worry about the seat belt!
  3. There is one thing for certain when it comes to movement...nothing is certain! Talked to my brother-in-law on Sunday at Church and his schedule would only allow for him to go out on Monday...cold...snowing and sleeting...winds around 10-15 mph...I thought it would be a lost cause until I heard his gunshot around 8:30...he had 3 bucks walk out in front of him and he bagged a 10 point...good mass and great size! We stayed out the rest of the day and saw nothing. I went out on Tuesday morning...clear...cold....winds relatively calm until around 10:00 am...it was a ghost town! I say load up the truck and good luck!
  4. Pure hot air...never really understood how she was even placed in the "rolls" we have seen her...
  5. Hopefully we will be able to get some more "common sense" changes made to a few of the quirky restrictions!
  6. Hate the malls this time of year...or any time of year for that matter...always seems to be an incident waiting to happen
  7. great pic..
  8. Great pics...
  9. definately make you nervous leaving something in the car...
  10. This is too funny.....could have been part possum
  11. Was concerned about the same thing for the WMA's....the TWRA site has all of the maps..print those off for the location that you will be hunting. Also, you can pull up the area on Virtual Earth and upload the satellite photo as well...it really helps out for your bearings. As far as parking...contact the TWRA officer / agent / rep for that area...they will be glad to tell you where the best access points are as well as the best areas to hunt! Heck, we were told to park along 840 for unit II of Priest and just hop the fence....had a great time with my boys!
  12. I have a 229 .40. It is the rev two tone finish...love it! VERY accurate and reliable...eats everything I feed it! Later on if you are interested...consider a bar-sto 9mm conversion barrel...definately money well spent. Enjoy! Sig has an EXCELLENT rep...and they back it up!
  13. If remember correctly, you cannot carry on a WMA....was taking my boys small game hunting and was told by the TWRA agent that I spoke with a few days prior that I would have to either not bring my handgun or leave it locked in the vehicle....could be due to the fact that we were small game hunting during gun season for deer...not really sure. I think the WMA's are the exception to the rule though...I will do some more research and post back... http://www.state.tn.us/twra/wmas.html No carry on WMA's except on Authorized Hunts and during specific hours.....
  14. I'll keep an eye out for all of their confiscated weapons etc to go to auction!
  15. +1 for Tom at Top Gun Supply...began doing business with him via the SigForum...great prices and insane service!
  16. Regretfully most only consider this around the Holidays...but, it should be an all day everyday recognition, which I am guilty of myself.... 1. Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour 2. My Family 3. My Church 4. My Freedom 5. My Job (sometimes) 6. My Home and "little" things...the older I get the more I realize how unimportant "things" are...
  17. +1 for Tombstone..."I'll be your Huckleberry"
  18. Have TFO's on my G27...like them okay....I do like the Meps on my 229 a little more...the tfo's are green/yellow...may try the mep set-up for the g27 in the same (gren/yell).
  19. I have had good experiances from Gunbroker. Do your research though...check the feedback on the seller...request additional pics where applicable and look at them CLOSELY...last but not least, do the math. Deals can be had...no tak for out of state purchases but...you have shipping charges and then transfer fees on top of that to get it to your FFL...sometimes the shipping and transfer fees offset the savings on taxes and you would have been better off to go local!
  20. BB/Pellet guns are great to start with..teach them to treat it as if they were your standard rifle / shotgun...we moved from those, after they showed responsibility, to pump 20 ga. This year there are 10/22's on Santa's list!
  21. Too funny....I have wised up to that as well....always go low on the hug...forces them to do the shoulder thing and none the wiser....I'll have to remember this on Thanksgiving! Although the longer I stay at the dinner table the liklier I am to print!
  22. I like the voters reg going out with the HCP...be nice if all of us (and most are) activlely involved in the political process...our votes count now more than ever!
  23. Education for kids is the key....curiosity is a dangerous thing when it comes to guns and children. My boys hunt, have there own weapons, go to the range with me to shoot handguns and they shoot them as well. They have the responsibility of cleaning their own weapons and keep them locked in our office. When you can tun their curiosity into respect...a job well done!
  24. Ankle Holster??????
  25. Wife sent this to me a moment ago....had to post it! Barrack Obama, Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey were flying on Obama's private plane. Obama looked at Oprah, chuckled and said, 'You know, I could throw a $1,000 bill out of the window right now and make somebody very happy.' Oprah shrugged her shoulders and replied, 'I could throw ten $100 bills out of the window and make ten people very happy. Michelle added, 'That being the case, I could throw one hundred $10 bills out of the window and make a hundred people very happy.' Hearing their exchange, the pilot rolled his eyes and said to his co-pilot, 'Such big-shots back there....I could throw the three of them out of the window and make 56 million people very happy.'
