  1. The frog in the pot is getting hotter. https://www.theepochtimes.com/biden-admin-negotiates-deal-to-give-who-authority-over-us-pandemic-policies_5066631.html?utm_source=partner&utm_campaign=ZeroHedge&src_src=partner&src_cmp=ZeroHedge In case the Epoch Times won't let you in...https://www.zerohedge.com/political/biden-admin-negotiates-deal-give-who-authority-over-us-pandemic-policies Anyone know any more about this ?
  2. If you feel like you really need to do something, do like I did, buy a farm. You will work harder than you ever did getting a paycheck. ALWAYS something to do or mend or fix. After a few years you'll come to appreciate the word procrastination. It's really not a bad word. There's always something to do tomorrow and nothing to do today.
  3. Exactly this. In 30 years, we didn't do a bunch of "run and gun". Focused on surviving a confrontation and getting back home. Likely a skill everyone could use. Plus one on Agape in my opinion. A little biased perhaps since I worked with Ken. He is a straight up guy.
  4. This ^^^^ That's like asking to pick you favorite child. Each has it's good and it's bad. Missing is the number one reason for reloads, regardless of capacity.
  5. YES SIR.... THIS Can I get an Amen.......
  6. Might consider Vortex Crossfire II. Likely one for you under 2 bills. American Owned, Veteran Owned, Family owned and operated. VIP warranty and good customer service.
  7. Both of these "say" they do custom. Couldn't hurt to call and see... https://muddyrivertactical.com/product/sig-sauer-365-xl-iwb-kydex-holster/ https://www.daraholsters.com/iwb/
  8. Yep, read it. It was that book that started me down the road to finally get off my keester and start getting ready for worse things to come. Haven't read the others. Spent the money on stuff for worse days.
  9. I raise blackberries, muscadines, grapes, elderberries and use them all in wine, seedless jams, syrups for colds/virus/infections, etc... These are from this mornings quick pick on my rows. All together about 3 1/2 gallons, a relative normal pick every two to three days. Had three nine to ten gallons days earlier in the season. Average between 36 and 43 gallons a season the last four years. This year will eclipse 50 I'm positive thanks to all the rain this season. Except for what the family pilfers, I freeze all of mine in 2 quart vac bags with about 1/3 cup of sugar to juice them and help preserve. When time comes to process, just take out what I need and either steam juice and can for syrup, press for wine or run thru a Squeezo for seedless jam. Takes a little investment for wine (good link above) but other than the consumable additives, will last if taken care of. Wine making is easy, most critical is having everything sterile. Plenty of recipes all over the web and most encourage trying different blends of juices. I have 5 gallons of blackberry/elderberry in carboy now along with another 5 gallon carboy of blackberry. Plenty of places to order supplies as well. I like a sweet after dinner wine so one thing to keep in mind is that the more alcohol you make, the less sweet the end product. I try to maintain a 10-12% that suits my palate, more importantly the wife's. There is some truth to the old saying... "Drunk wife, happy life". I've had good luck with this company over the years..... https://labelpeelers.com/ Steam juicers and a Squeeo can be found on the intraweb. My old aluminum 1930-40's era Squeeo came off of ebay. Better built, no plastic parts. Sqeezo makes making seedless jams a breeze. If you like jelly, the steam juicer is the bomb, in my opinion, especially for elderberry. Good luck and don't be afraid to experiment. Everyone I know has had to throw out a batch or two over the years.
  10. Especially since there is an average of 75+ people moving to Nashville area every day, mostly from New Jersey and other northern states. Hopefully they are escaping the tyranny and not part of the "turn red states blue" movement.
  11. I wish Tennessee would, but I don't see them giving up any money anytime soon. They even tax online sales from most places. Once they get their grubby little hands on your money, they hold on for dear life ( the rest of your life).

    Happy!!

FoundingFathers.JPG.jfif Happy and safe 4th to everyone here.
  13. When those rodents get into my peach and pear trees, I use whatever I get my hands on first. If the meat is ruined, the dogs eat well. If not, I get them and a cobbler or pie for dessert. I prefer the cobbler and no rodent. I don't hunt them anymore, sadly they come to me too often, but when I did hunt them I used a .410 and 6 shot. ^^^ This is good advice. I'd take it.

    Home Range

I have a range, steel targets and metal framed paper holders. In ground markers at 15, 25, 50, 100 and 150. Longest unobstructed shot is available out to 300, but rarely used.
  15. Thanks for posting. I avoid amazon at all costs. I've had used items sent before. Not to mention their political agenda, which is enough for me personally. YMMV. +1 on Kenzie and Primary Arms. Had great service from both. I'd rather pay more and support a small company than save a few dollars and feed the machine. My 2 cents.
  16. So sorry to hear. Prayers for comfort and peace.
  17. I have a two portable units like yours but different flavor. Also have a transfer box wired to run the ground floor of my house. While they have not been needed for emergencies at my 20, they have done duty during the flood at my parents and just recently at my sister's after the last tornado. Plus I use them on the farm for various duties. I start them every month with a load for 30 minutes each session and don't run ethanol fuel. Looking to add an up grade to a more permanently installed solution now that I'm older and we just installed an lp tank out here in the country. Saving up the coins now but I'll always keep the portables though. edit; Have since added 24k LP Generac whole house/barn and it's been used twice since installation. Once for almost two hours one cycle, so yeah, it's a nice thing to have. Still have my gas burners.
  18. https://fox17.com/news/local/state-rep-sponsors-bill-that-would-make-tn-a-sanctuary-for-2nd-amendment Apparently it's in the works. Don't know how many sponsors. Your calls need to go to your STATE representatives. Doubt any good will come from Blackburn or Hagerty at the federal level other than letting their state level contacts know their position. They are too busy with comrade buydin et al. As far a bucking the feds, the feds will only blackmail the state by withholding federal dollars. If the feds can't get local help, doubt they'll try the door to door stuff.
