  1. I have been a Cubs fan for over thirty-five years now. When cable TV first came to this area, WGN would broadcast Cubs games and I watched as many as I could. Some of my favorite memories growing up were watching The Hawk and Ryan Sandberg, and listening to Harry Caray announce the games with Steve Stone. Hopefully this is the year that the Cubs bring the trophy back to Wrigley.
  2. I'm traveling to KY and OH and I could use some help understanding the carry laws in both states. I have a TN carry permit, and I think both states have reciprocity with TN, but I'm still wanting to know if I can legally carry (concealed) in KY and OH. Thank you for your feedback.
  3. I agree with you that it is a wise policy and I have no problem being screened. My main concern is the safety of my children and my wife. If random searches and screenings help keep them safe I am perfectly fine with it. Now there is a high probability that between the parking lot and the gate I may have become agitated with members of my family and had an angry look on my face which prompted the screenings.
  4. Other than my beard there was really nothing that would set me apart from anyone else. I like to keep a low profile and blend in. I don't like drawing attention to myself at all.
  5. I did have a pocket knife and I was upfront with the screener and told them I had one. She called over a supervisor and I explained to them that I had a knife and really didn't want to lose it. They were good to me and agreed to hold it in a locker until I returned. The supervisor did tell me that since I disclosed it on my own and made their job easier they would hold it for me.
  6. My feelings were not hurt at all. The funny part was that I began observing who they were pulling aside and the majority of people I observed being screened had beards and semi athletic or athletic builds.
  7. I was there in May and I was pulled aside twice for screening. In both situations I had to go through metal detectors.
  8. I appreciate the insight. I have no desire to destroy one of my favorite guns.
  9. I'm considering purchasing the 460 Rowland conversion for my Glock 30. Before I do, I would like some feedback/suggestions from others that have done this or might know someone who has done this.
  10. My favorites right now are my Glock 30 and 31. They just feel right and I shoot them better than any other pistols I have ever owned.
  11. I would greatly appreciate the contact information of any really good gunsmiths in the Hendersonville - Nashville TN area.
  12. Glock 20. Ammo choices provide the versatility to use it for everything from personal protection to hunting.
  13. I am considering the purchase of a Steyr handgun, but before I do, I would like to get some feedback from people that have used them? Are there any dealers in the middle TN area that sell them?
  14. I was born with stubby little T-Rex like arms, so drawing from the 6 is very difficult for me, especially if my weapon was upside down.
  15. You are correct that it was at the 3:00 position. It was in a belt holster similar to the picture that you provided, there was a few inches of slide/barrel sticking out of the dnd though. I simply cannot figure out how anyone could quickly and effectively draw from that position.

  17. I was in a Chinese restaurant in Gallatin three weeks ago and noticed a guy whose sidearm was upside down, trigger pointed towards the ceiling, in the holster with the muzzle pointing directly behind him. He was muzzle sweeping the entire restaurant as he walked to and from the buffet. I still can't figure out how that particular carry method was supposed to be beneficial to him.
  18. That thing is awesome. One of those and the S&W 500 are on my short list.
  19. Have you tried the Underwood 357 Sig ammo out of either a Glock 31 or 32, and if so, how did it perform and did you have to change out the recoil spring?
  20. Awesome gun. Mine has become my EDC. It's crazy accurate, very good SA trigger, and has never failed me.
  21. Academy did not have any bulk packs. The entire stock was 50 count.
