  1. heh...amen brother, That's sig line material
  2. 1. Higher pricing after the election 2. Limited production run, one of the few without the Spikes spider logo. Took some paperwork through the ATF to change the logo from what I remember reading 3. Drinking the Spikes Aid :-)
  3. Spikes Tactical has started taking pre orders for a new "Jolly Roger" AR lower they are expecting a run on these...get 'em while you can
  4. not yet...I'm trying to catchup on the work I didn't do yesterday while I was looking for my gift :-)
  5. .308 is Russian? 7.62X51
  6. I decided that in order to celebrate the "change" in our country I was not coming home without something EBR related. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic...but...my new Armalite Super SASS fits the bill of everything that's evil and hated. AR platform, 7.62 caliber, check out the evil flash hider, all I'm missing is the thing that goes up....oh..and optics.
  7. Did anyone see any: AR tactical latches...like badgers or something similar 45ACP Federal HSTs...(I only need two boxes to complete my case) (doubtful) a trijicon reflex sight like this one I'm thinking about going by Sunday...if for nothing else to gawk at the newly awakened sheep
  8. Have him pickup a Serpa or a Uncle Mikes until he can find a decent OWB holster for his MK23. I'm thinking if he goes into a HCP class with a thigh rig, he'll be the butt of alot of mall ninja jokes. Not to mention, after about a week of carrying a MK23, he'll be ready to find another gun
  9. unpossible. The crook would have seen the no guns sign and walked away. They wouldn't DARE take a gun on school grounds...why...that's against the law

    Jerry AR's

It's not a 416, but Franklin Gun Shop actually HAD a SCAR in hand very recently. It sold in 4 hours for around 4K. I'd bet the 416 will be close to that...if not a but more due to the HK name on yet another piston AR.

    Why 1911?

A good 1911 is one of the best handling, quickest aiming, most controllable pistols on the market. It conceals better than almost any other mid of full size pistol. the grip angle is just...right. It lends itself to a natural point of aim. I can close my eyes, draw and point a 1911 and the sights will be aligned 99% of the time. You can't pistol whip someone with a plastic fantastic and get the same result out of it If someone happens to see a 1911 in condition 1 on your hip...they tend to be polite. Most of the 1911s on the market today are reliable for almost any ammo out there. A nice Commander sized 1911 with a bobtail and a alloy frame is going to ride more comfortably than any XD or Glock if you go with a inside the wasitband holster. AND because John Moses Browning was a friggin genius who could take Jack Bower, Chuck Norris AND Gadsden Glock and send them running home to momma with nothing more than his stern gaze.
  12. I've pretty much decided..well..been given permission to get a suppressor(s) added to me collection. My thinking, flawed as it might be is as follows: 1 .45 can and 1 5.56 can. That way as time and money permits I can use the can with different guns. The 1st .45 will be my G21SF, then I'll work on getting barrels for my 1911s. I think the Glock will take an aftermarket barrel with less fuss than the 1911s. While I'm at it, I might as well get at least one AR canned as well. I'm thinking about some of the QD models that have the adapters that stay on the gun. That would seem to be the most cost effective way to handle it. I can get adapters on various guns and swap the can between. This will also alow me to suppress my SBR when the time/money comes for that build. I'm not sure on brands, I'm leaning toward AAC or Gemtech, but that's wide open still. What's your opinion? Is there a huge difference in the various brands? I've signed up for silencertests.com, but I haven't been "approved" yet.
  13. most likey a XDM in 9mm
  14. Came back from Guns and leather, Len came down with the flu so shooting solo. Did find a Glock 21SF refurb with night sights and two mags for under 500.00..Merry Christmas to me :-)

    My AR Build

I know Guns and Leather had a few complete rifles today (Christmas Eve) I know Reloaders bench had some uppers, but nothing in 5.56/.223. They had one in .50 Beowulf and one in 5.7. I didn't see any uppers @ Guns and Leather today...but I wasn't looking.
  16. from my keyboard to my hip
  17. Donelson Computers is closed until Monday. If I get parts in I might do some work Friday Slept in, called Len to see if he wants to go out to Guns and Leather to do some reindeer target practice :-) Wife is going panic shopping.
  18. I do very well from it. I'm in the Summit Chapter. Now I'm sitting here wondering if I should trade my Kriss SuperV in on a LWRC M6SRT reloaders bench has sitting there, taunting me.
  19. Musicman...BNI? My group decided not to meet this morning. The wife was up at 5am to go with her mom and sister to a UT Vet to see WTF is wrong with one of their dogs. I'm getting ready to deliver some client Christmas presents, and stop by The Reloaders Bench to drool over a LWRC AR they had up there...if it's still there.
  20. put me down for one set please :-)
  21. football, thinking about going to pickup Deathrace on Blu ray, then tossing a pork loin on the grill

    New Race Gun

I wouldn't give my money to Useltons. You could do worse than a TRP. Nice grips, magwell straight from the factory....sounds like a solid plan. I shoot IDPA with my carry 1911 (Nighthawk) all the time.
