  1. Most of the stations in Donelson/Hermitae have fuel...and stupid long lines Saturday AM. I saw little old ladies trying to get 5 gal gas cans back into the backs of trucks...ppeople trying to cut line...backing up traffic in both lanes...stupidity I've got between 1/2 and 1/4 of a tank in one car, the other has pretty much a full tank. If I find a station that isn't insaine I'll top up...if not I'll be OK until about Wednesday
  2. I'm planning on on hitting the TWRA range Sunday afternoon if anyone is interested. All I ask is you bring the ammo. I'm interested in how it handles the recoil. I'm thinking about another eoTech for it. I have the ARs sighted in and hate to move the optics around Metalhead hopefully I'll be up your way this coming week...like I need an excuse to visit the toyshop :-)
  3. That is if you believe the marketing hype on Kriss's website. I did some horse trading today and came home with a Kriss super V. It came with a set of BUIS flip ups, single point sling mount, vertical foregrip, two 12 round G21 mags and a very nice hardbound manual. they could lower the price quite a bit if they'd drop the size of the box. It's HUGE. If you remember the slot car racetracks, the box those came is are a bit smaller than the box for the Kriss. I picked up the extensions and two more mags to have 4 30 round mags. It balances nicely, seems to point very well. I'm going to mount one of my EoTechs on it for a nice 21st century version of a Tommy gun. It comes from the factory with mount points for side rails. I'll probably pickup a set of those as well. It would be cheaper to side mount my existing TRL2 than to buy the surefire they have a mount for. Either that or lose the VFG and mount the TRL2 on the bottom rail. The VFG is kind of redundant with the shape of the magwell. It's designed for your support hand grip. I don't have pics of the actual gun yet...but it looks like this..sans the sling and EoTech Hopefully I'll get to run out to the range next week and try it out.
  4. Drop by Greene Military and check out the Condor cases. They are inexpensive, I'm not sure the $$$ on them, I bought mine a while back...but they have all the features you listed.
  5. They'll get what they deserve for their lack of spine and national pride.
  6. IDPA is a game. IDPA is not training. However, it's my opinion that it's better training than going to the range by yourself and running through a box of ammo as fast as you can.
  7. I was told the same thing from a buddy who runs a route for a uniform company. They were all told to top off their trucks tonight
  8. The last times I've been there I've either gone through the gate on the bumper of someone else, or had to call someone that was already there to let me in. I don't think the gate can be left open...it's all electronic and from what I've gathered ran by the TVA. damn...a swap meet AND IDPA...and I'll be in Todds class in Smyrna...oh well...probably help me save money by NOT going

    New Indoor Range

I've stopped in there a couple of times...I think I picked up some gun oil there...that's about it. Too pricey..too much attitude from the staff...too many bad stories for at least SOME of them not to be true. I hate it as well...my biggest client is in Franklin, I would LOVE to be able to stop in and blast a few. I might stop in once just to say I've seen the place...but I seriously doubt one penny of my money will be dropped in that place...unless its from a hole in my pocket
  10. Vince looked like crap all game. Made his best passes to the defense. he also got rolled on be a jag and ended up with a sprained knee
  11. yea..but that plate on the hill is a LONG shot for a pistol :-) 45 ACP does a fine job on hard drives. I'm planning another massacre here soon. Just picked up another dead one today. These might get some .308 lovin if the in-laws approve.
  12. 1911 ambi safety always in Condition 1 The safety is a learned response. I guess the same can be said for racking the slide but flicking the safety off while aligning the sights is MUCH quicker than loading the 1st round.
  13. Let's just say I've kept more than one defensive carbine closer than normal. They're a bit close for my tastes. I'm all for charity but it irks me to see able bodied people sitting on their duffs waiting for someone to wipe their noses for them. They deserve a chance to get out of bed, go home and to get a job. Other than that...they can take care of themselves..or not. Things will work out either way. I waiting for the flood of people from Fla on the government sponsored trains and buses....
  14. Sounds like a blossoming bromance:p
  15. Len..what about HGRs private range? If nothing else I"ll check W/ the in laws. Perhaps they'd be up on us rolling out there one day with your hard drive and the stack I have to kill. 100 acres but...momma doesn't really like me shooting out there too much..scares the critters. Last time I went out there I had to yell at the deer to leave...after I cut loose with the SPAS 12 a couple of times. and before anyone asks...no...no hunting allowed. The father in law tried that...once. The guy he gave permission to hunt there was scared off...by my 5 ft nothing unarmed mother in law.
  16. Gallitan Gun Club + SW M&P AR15 + The steel plate on the hill with said HDD duct taped to it + XM193 = WIN
  17. I use their .45ACP with very few problems. Out of probably 2000 rounds, I've had less then 12 problems. Those were the bullet getting pushed back into the cartridge.
  18. sounds like the ammo they were looking for in the last episode of CSI Miami. Would only fragment when it sensed the temperature of a human body and THEN frag out
  19. I keep hearing these people whining about not making any money selling gas..then the price jumps 15 cents in one day. They keep building new gas stations. If gas didn't make money, why spend the money to put the tanks in the ground. That's got to cost a flippin ton of money. Open a stop and rob without selling gas. In other words I don't believe the BS.
  20. The last few Rosetta Stone commercials I've seen all had Phelps starring in them...be careful Joe...your dream might turn into a nightmare.

    Magwell questions

The only one of my 1911s that doesn't have a magwell is my Nighthawk bobtail. I personally don't think it complicates CCW that much at all
  22. That's because Enterprise support is paid for. I've had too many clients calling me cussing a blue streak after talking to "Bob" Guess I shouldn't complain...they make me good money fixing their screw ups.
  23. Dell hardware is OK...their tech support and after sales service is horrid
  24. nightsights and training
