  1. You have numerous friends around here that "dabble" in computers...and yet you still went with Dell...for shame :-)
  2. I'm sorry I had to miss it. Had a issue come up with one of my clients that required me onsite all day...at time and a half :-)
  3. It was a blast. Good finally putting a name with a face gsbell. They're starting to get some seriously fun stages setup now.
  4. 4th Sun of the month...who's planning on shooting
  5. Last I checked none of the doors were marked, the only "posting " at Mills was in their 'code of conduct" posted inside the mall...and it isn't up to snuff legally speaking
  6. Goes to prove what I always say Stupid should hut in direct proportion to how stupid the act is. Kitesurfing in a TS...pretty stupid....hense...lots of pain.
  7. I shoot my 1911s better than my XDs or Glocks My 1911s are more comfortable to carry than a wider Glock or XD It just points and feels right for me. Round count doesn't really enter into it for me. I've got 9 ready to go, and 16 more available. If THAT doesn't take care of the problem...I should have brought my AR :-) Last but not least...I can pistol whip someone much more effectively with a steel 1911 than with a Glock
  8. I'd go along and carry the ammo...knives, screwdrivers, hammers, etc
  9. ...milk crates will hold a newborn pretty securely with enough duct tape AND leave enough extra in the bank for ammo :-) :-)
  10. Elvis delivered him in the UFO
  11. I'm in...can't wait
  12. agreed. I've forgotten to put my cover shirt back on when running itno a store in the dead heat of summer. No one said a word, looked at me funny, passed out, ran screaming itno the night...nothing ill happened.
  13. For people looking for the mall ninja gear, Greene Military has "raid vests" from Condor for around 35.00, pouches are anywhere from 6 to 12 dollars depending on the configuration. I can now order my CCW badge in confidence to wear with my raid vest next time I go to Opry Mills. I found 500 rounds of Centurion Military Contract 55gr. FMJ Ammo from Ammunition To Go for 169.95 plus shipping. Total to my door was 183.02 (The 1K round box lists for 334.95) now...all I have to do is sign up for the class :-) http://ammunitiontogo.com/catalog1/product_info.php?cPath=0_24_83_105&products_id=2132 for the ammo http://condoroutdoor.com/product.php?pid=75 The vest they have in stock in green tan and black
  14. I might take yo up on it 10K. I'm going to stop by Greene Military and see what they have on the rack. They have a TON of Condor stuff http://condoroutdoor.com/default.php, I probaly wouldn't use it if my life depended on it...but for training it might be OK. I think last time I was there their vets were like 35.00...pouches extra..but not much
  15. Not tacticool....bite your tongue man. Running about with a AR almost legally requires tacticool gear :-) After fumble fingering around for spare mags in IDPA and the last class...I can see myself picking up some kind of chest rig or cheap vest for AR mags
  16. damn ain't that the truth. I think at one time during the second day I had 6 or 8 mags rattling around in pockets and various holders...still ended up running to load mags. Todd...your site says at least 3 carbine mags...what would you suggest? How would you suggest carrying them?
  17. try to be nice to SOME people...and see what ya get...... heh...no sights fell off...no pins came out...baby didn't balk with muddy mags...did better than some of the plastic fantastics until the reloads :-) Not my fault the JMB thought that you might actually be able to finish the fight with 8 rounds.:p:p I placed my order for the remaining 500 rounds today. Now I gotta sweet talk the wife out of the registration fees.
  18. Tuns..I'll let you borrow an upper...if you buy MY ammo :-) kidding...if that's the only thing stopping you...I'll have 3 ARs put together by then. If you need one...I'll let you use it
  19. I think Guns and Leather in Greenbrier has some in stock. They did last week when I was there.
  20. Tennessee Firearms Association, Inc. Legislative Action Committee For many years it has been possible for those with felony convictions (excepting crimes of violence and felony drug offenses) to go through Tennessee's restoration of rights procedures and regain their ability to purchase and own firearms. NO MORE!!! In fact, a law enacted with Democrat and Republic support in Tennessee at the end of the legislative session now makes it a felony (state and presumably federal) for anyone who has ever had a Tennessee felony conviction - any felony conviction - to own a firearm - any firearm - even if they have received a restoration or a pardon. http://www.legislature.state.tn.us/bills/currentga/Chapter/PC1176.pdf BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE: SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 39-17-1307, is amended by adding the following new subsection © and by relettering present subsection © and any reference to subsection © as (d): ©(1) A person commits an offense who possesses a handgun and has been convicted of a felony. (2) An offense under subdivision ©(1) is a Class E felony. SECTION 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2008, the public welfare requiring it. It is important to note that the effect of this change in the law, because of the provisions of federal law, means that its a felony in Tennessee and federally for anyone with a prior felony conviction to possess a handgun. Furthermore, because of federal law, these same individuals cannot own rifles or shotguns either. If you or someone you know has a prior felony conviction they should immediately dispossess themselves of any and all firearms. They should also contact the Tennessee Department of Safety concerning whether their handgun permits must be surrendered.
  21. How do they keep the bike under them when they corner like that????? I watched a couple of races long ago...when the knee was close to the ground...not the shoulder
  22. I don't remember seeing anything about this around here. I'm going to start sending this link to people who ask "why do you carry a gun" http://xavierthoughts.blogspot.com/2008/07/evil-among-us.html WARNING..Do NOT click on video if curse words offend you. Don't play the video at work due to the language of the street rat. This is a insight into the mind of the enemy...pay attention to his last words and imagine he's talking about your family.
  23. We had Dish but went back to Comcast due to lousy customer service and the picture going out right as a tornado warning was being broadcast
  24. I would have at least flipped the guy off while smiling at him after the cop walked off.
  25. I had one as well. I'm sure they pulled our names from the HCP list and mailed away. Again...protecting our rights one payment at a time...thanks again Naifeh mine went into the shredder
