  1. Just wondering why no mention of the instructions on the actual Form 1, that read:   i. Serial Numbers and other Markings. If an existing firearm is being  modified into an NFA firearm, enter the existing serial number of the  firearm into item 4g and the name and address of the original  manufacturer into item 4a. Do not Alter or Modify the Existing Serial Number . If the NFA firearm is being made from parts, your  name and address are to be entered into 4a and a serial number you  create is to be entered into item 4g.   Since the firearm is the part that has the s/n on it, e.g. the AR15 lower, why would there be any requirement to engrave any additional information on it?  Per the attorney that drew up my NFA Trust, he concurs with the form, no additional info required on the receiver.  Thoughts?
  2. Hello all,   I am a recently retired USSF service member from FTCKY.  We have decided to remain in TN and I have started a new career instructing other USSF Soldiers.  I am an NRA Life Member and enjoy the shooting and hunting sports, though I do neither as much as I wish I could.     I started building ARs and reloading a couple of years ago and found both to be good hobbies.  I am looking forward to learning from other members and sharing my own knowledge.  Thanks!
  3. Form 1 via e-file 28 Jul 14, approved 19 Aug 14.
  4. Here is a link to a useful site that tracks wait times, for paper and e-filing.  If one elects to put an item into the database, there is a wait time prediction tool.  Good luck!   http://www.nfatracker.com/
  5. I submitted an e-Form 1 on 28 July 14 and it was approved 19 August 14 (SBR).  I submitted the full trust documents with the original Form 1.  Twenty-two days soup to nuts.
